2015 LEGO store exclusives & promotions

Although a large wave 2015 LEGO sets were just released a few days ago (see: January 2015 – New LEGO Sets & Promotions), there are already rumors circulating about later 2015 LEGO sets. I thought to summarize them here for future reference and also that we have a place to discuss them. While there are several sources for these rumors, all of the information below is from just2good’s YouTube channel. Please note that they have not been confirmed directly by LEGO yet, so please take them with a grain of salt. However I have found that being able to look ahead helps with planning and budgeting for the year. So let’s take a look at what’s coming. 🙂

2015 LEGO News & Rumors

JANUARY 2015 LEGO SETS & PROMOTIONS: Of course here we are talking about the current month, and we already know that the two LEGO store exclusive sets are the #75060 LEGO Star Wars Slave I and the #10246 LEGO Creator Detective’s Office. And new sets launched are in practically every LEGO theme; LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Creator, LEGO Legends of Chima, LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes, The LEGO Movie, LEGO Disney Princess, LEGO Friends, LEGO City, LEGO Technic all got a large wave of new sets. Also LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 13 has been released, as well as #21301 LEGO Ideas Birds. We have talked about these previously in the above mentioned post. There are also two new themes launched; LEGO BIONICLE and LEGO Classic. The promotional sets this month are a free LEGO Flower Cart with purchases over $75, a free LEGO Friends Mini Golf Cart with any LEGO Friends purchase, and a free LEGO Star Wars AT-DP with any LEGO Star Wars purchase. All of these new sets and promotions can be currently found at the Online LEGO Shop.

FEBRUARY 2015 LEGO SETS & PROMOTIONS: Here we are starting to enter to world of not-yet confirmed information, so again, take it with a grain of salt. LEGO VIP members will have early access to the LEGO store exclusive #76042 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SHIELD Helicarrier in mid-February. There has been no leaks on this set (besides on tiny image), so we have no idea how it will look like, except that it will be big. There will also be a new wave of LEGO City Construction, LEGO Juniors, LEGO Mixels, and LEGO Ultra Agents sets. The promotional set this month is a free LEGO City Driller with purchases over $35.

NOVEMBER-DECEMBER 2015 LEGO SETS & PROMOTIONS: Not much is known here besides assuming that the second LEGO Holiday Set will be available as a free promotional item. Again, please keep in mind that none of these releases have been officially confirmed yet. However we can be fairly certain about the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes SHIELD Helicarrier, the LEGO The Simpsons Kwik-E-Mart, the LEGO Star Wars UCS TIE Fighter, and the LEGO Creator Ferris Wheel, as all of them have been rumored persistently for quite some time now.

Shop January 2015 LEGO Sets

Besides the above mentioned LEGO store exclusives there are also waves of regular LEGO sets that are coming, but I’m not sure about the exact release months. LEGO Ultra Agents will have a third wave in the summer with six new sets, and LEGO BIONICLE will also have a summer wave focusing on the Skull Spiders. LEGO City will have two new sub-themes; LEGO Deep Sea Exploration and LEGO Space Port. LEGO Friends will have a sub-theme called Pop Star – I assume these will be released in August as that’s when the promotional set with the same name is given away. LEGO Elves will get the #41078 LEGO Elves Skyra’s Mysterious Sky Castle, which I expect to be based on the castle that we have seen in the trailer before.

2015 LEGO Elves Palace

LEGO Ninjago and LEGO Star Wars will also get a huge range of new sets (besides the ones mentioned above).

2015 LEGO Jurasssic World

I don’t want to list all of the new sets here as this post is already getting too long, but if you would like to keep up, I recommend you follow just2good’s YouTube channel. He is very good at posting rumors and news right away. Snd in the meantime you can also check the already released and very exciting 2015 LEGO sets at the Online LEGO Shop.

second wave of Marvel (the Spider-Man-heavy sets) in June, maybe, to coincide with the Winter Soldier exclusive? Seems a little too soon after the April release of the Avengers sets, but it doesn’t really make sense to do the exclusive in the months between the release of sets…

    • admin January 7, 2015, 10:27 AM

Yeah, as I said, take this list with a grain of salt. There are some things that doesn’t seem to make sense to me either, but we shall see. At least we get a general idea on what should be coming. I think the list as a whole seems genuine, but maybe some of the release times are off.

  • Legozebra January 7, 2015, 10:41 AM

I gave this to just2good on Eurobricks! Glad it’s being spread about… Yeah, the calendar I got had release dates for large sets on there twice… I assumed this meant that VIP members could get it one month earlier, but the entire layout of the document I reveives was puzzling to interpret. Also, (silly me) I wrote the set number of the UCS Tie wrong, it should be 75059.

    • admin January 7, 2015, 12:38 PM

Nice! If you get any other updates keep us in the loop! I’m particularly interested in the Ninjago Temple and also the Elves Castle. 🙂

    • BLProductions January 7, 2015, 5:26 PM

Did you just write it wrong again? The UCS TIE Fighter is #75095. Even that may be wrong (though I doubt it), but it cannot be 75059, because the UCS Sandcrawler we got this year is #75059. 😉

      • Legozebra January 7, 2015, 6:32 PM

Oh, then it must be a typo… It really says 75059, and I realized that was the Sandrawler, so I looked at it again and posted what I saw… Interesting typo…

  • BLProductions January 7, 2015, 12:14 PM

That list is weird. I believe everything up to May, then no more until we have more facts. But a Winter Soldier minifig? Awesome, about time we got one! 🙂 But a 10249 Winter Toy Shop sounds wrong, because WV has already had a Toy Shop, back in 2009 or 2010. And what are the chances this “Ninjago Minifig” is the Jay Nano Mech or Anacondrai Battle Mech? Also, admin, the Kai Drifter is a set, not a minifig, you may want to delete that word. 😉 And you forgot to mention the free minifig pack in March, it says its free w/ any purchase on the 2015 calendar. Ugh, there’s just too much, and I don’t have enough money to get very much of it. 😕

    • admin January 7, 2015, 12:44 PM

Yes, that Winter Toy Shop is a bit puzzling. I’m not too worried about it though as all of the Winter Village sets are very nice and we can be pretty certain we will get something this year as well. It could be just a misunderstanding by someone who saw the set early. As far as the rest of the list, I agree that up to May it sounds plausible, after that we will just have to wait and see. I just wanted to put this information to one place so we can continue to discuss it as we learn more. 🙂

      • Legozebra January 7, 2015, 6:34 PM

The calendar I got was printed from Lego and presumably given to employees… It had a lot of “preliminary” info but I think it gives a general idea…

        • admin January 7, 2015, 7:48 PM

That is really surprising as just generic employees can’t be trusted with such highly sensitive information. Things like the Ninjago Temple and Echo Base… that we hear about them so early is very unusual. But as you said, it is mostly preliminary info, and could still change. Or maybe LEGO is leaking sensitive stuff like this on purpose to keep the fire alive. 🙄

    • Narrator_Bob January 7, 2015, 7:16 PM

You need the coupon with the calender for the Minifig pack

  • Eric at A Lego a Day January 7, 2015, 12:42 PM

Wow. I had no idea things were going to be staggered so much this yer, and that there were going to be so many exclusives! I need to start saving pronto!

  • Kim January 7, 2015, 1:24 PM

I’m excited about Pirates, The Kwikie Mart and the Ferris Wheel. =D

  • Ninja of Stealth January 7, 2015, 1:53 PM

that’s a lot to consume. 😀 This is the year or Ninjago for sure! (and star wars, and bionicle.) Exclusive NINJAGO MINIFIGURE! duh i’m going to get that! But that’s very far off. Is there any images for the temple? (I doubt it, but it doesn’t hurt to ask.) I’m looking forward to this year, LEGO has already started us off well. And as for the LEGO ninjago sets coming out in February is more logical, was this confirmed?

    • admin January 7, 2015, 2:53 PM

If there would be a picture of the Ninjago Temple I would have included it for sure. None of the information here has been confirmed by LEGO, besides the current month. 😉

      • Legozebra January 7, 2015, 6:33 PM

And February, we have a calendar for that too 😉

      • Ninja of Stealth January 8, 2015, 12:48 PM

        alright, thanks admin! 😀

  • Legozebra January 7, 2015, 6:37 PM

I’m personally curious about the retro Minifig set… Is it a single figure or multiple…?

Lego may have removed any Jurassic Park promos in fear of those being leaked…

  • AAG Spitta January 7, 2015, 6:58 PM

Wow! Lots of New sets and promos! Really excited for the 2015 Ninjago sets!
I just got 8 of the new LEGO Minifigures Series 13 Theyare super cool!
If you would like to check out my opening video you are more than welcome too!

Hey Admin I have a question about the parts in the Valetnine’s mini set. Are the colors for the table, the lampshades, the drapes and the building, new colors for those brick shapes? I want to make a mini restaurant but figure I’ll have to buy multiples of the set to make it all uniform.

    • admin January 7, 2015, 7:58 PM

Kim, the lamp-shades and the table top are just normal dark-red. Both of those parts have been available in dark-red for some time and came in several sets already. Those sloped wall-pieces are light-yellow, same as in the LEGO Friends Mall. I think that’s the only other set that piece appeared in light yellow, but of course there are other LEGO Friends sets with that color. It is a very lovely shade.

  • Legonizer January 7, 2015, 9:43 PM

Darn, I’m starting to regret my recent purchase of an xbox, how in the world will I be able to afford all these nice things?

    • admin January 8, 2015, 8:52 AM

LOL! Yeah, I can relate to the dilemma! 🙄

  • Dario January 8, 2015, 4:14 PM

So, yesterday I ordered about $200 of LEGO stuff @ the online US LEGO store. I was under the impression that the free sets (Mini Golf Set and the other two) were only available when buying stuff at a brick & mortar store. Not so – I bought a LEGO Friends set for my daughter, the Mini Golf Set was added automatically as $0 item. So far, so good.

However, even after adding the Detective’s office set – the Flower Cart was NOT added. Ditto for the AT-DP freebie – added a Star Wars set, no Freebie. Tried from two different VIP accounts – no dice.

Can anyone explain this to me? Was the addition of the Mini Golf an error on the web side, or was the error NOT adding the Flower Cart or the AT-DP for the other two scenarios? Confused . . . .

    • BLProductions January 8, 2015, 7:21 PM

I think it’s that the promos LEGO had for January were canceled because they ran out of supplies from the overload of orders on the first and second. Maybe they had a restock of the Mini Golf set, I didn’t check that promo when I checked out Lego Shop this week. But you will know if it’s an error when you get your order… the poly should be there. 😉

    • admin January 9, 2015, 9:53 AM

Dario, all LEGO promotions are valid both in-store and online, however this month they ran out both the flower cart and the AT-DP early. January is a huge month for sales for LEGO because of the new releases, and I suspect this year was especially large because of the excellent new sets and themes. So they just underestimated the crowd. 😉

  • Roberta January 20, 2015, 8:44 AM

Hi! This may be a difficult question to answer…I have inquired just recently, and you said you expected that we might hear something about the Big Bang Set release date around March. I’m wondering why you didn’t mention this set in this article? Is it because the information is just to unspecific at this point to list in a a given month? Thanks!

    • admin January 20, 2015, 11:53 AM

Roberta, this list includes the LEGO exclusives only. I know LEGO Ideas is also a sort of LEGO exclusive, but it’s a whole other animal with a different schedule and production procedure than other sets. BTW, the London Toy Fair is just happening as we speak, and there is a whole range of exciting new sets on the horizon even besides the ones mentioned here. I will write an update on them shortly. No pictures though (not at least until the New York Toy Fair in February). No LEGO Ideas though. Those are usually revealed in a different manner than the regular sets. Don’t worry, I will keep you posted though. 😉

  • Roberta January 20, 2015, 6:23 PM

Got it! You’re fabulous, thank you! I appreciate the explanation and all the details. I will look for your update on the London Toy Fair as well! Sounds exciting! Thanks again!

    • admin January 20, 2015, 8:38 PM

Roberta, you are very welcome. 😉

  • Brad April 28, 2015, 5:49 PM

I think you can update this post now to say that everything has proved accurate through June. Given that, I see no reason why the rest of it won’t be proven accurate in the coming months.

    • admin April 29, 2015, 10:43 AM

Yes, so far everything matched. I don’t update older articles because they can be significant historically, however we can continue the discussion and have updates in the comment section, just like we are doing now. 🙂

  • parsom May 13, 2015, 7:01 AM

Any news about double VIP points?

    • admin May 13, 2015, 8:06 AM

Not anytime soon. The next period should be in the fall.

  • Alex September 21, 2015, 11:00 AM

Hi, I bookmarked this page for reference to what I can expect in terms of promotions for the online store. However I am based in Europe and there are quite a few discrepancies between what these calenders show and the offers online for the european websites. Any clues on how to “predict” what the offers will be in Europe? Thanks. Love the website, by the way.

    • admin September 21, 2015, 11:05 AM

Alex, yeah, I’m aware that Europe doesn’t always follow the same schedule. Which country are you in? I might be able to direct you to a website that track the promotions for your area.

  • Alex September 22, 2015, 6:13 AM

Hi, I’m in Portugal but the legoshop online is Germany-based, so I guess the German promos are the ones that affect my online store. Thanks.

    • admin September 22, 2015, 1:49 PM

Alex, yeah, that is likely. You might call customer service in your country and they should be able to tell you the promos at least for the month. Perhaps there is also a LEGO blog or forum that focuses on your region. I’m in the USA and unfortunately not that familiar with what’s happening in Germany. I think Portugal also have a LEGO club, isn’t it?

  • John Katzman October 30, 2015, 5:54 AM

I like your post. It’s very informative to me. Thanks for sharing.
