The #10247 LEGO Creator Ferris Wheel will be available directly from LEGO on June 1st, with early access for LEGO VIP members starting in mid-May. While we are waiting for the release of the LEGO Creator Ferris Wheel you might also like to check out the #10244 LEGO Creator Fairground Mixer, which would be an excellent companion set. I would also suggest getting the LEGO Power Functions parts now, because I expect there is going to be a shortage of them once the LEGO Creator Ferris Wheel gets released. You can find them all at the LEGO Power Functions section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I love this line. I already have a spot picked out for this one. I’m just waiting for them to release a roller coaster.

      yeah

  • legostuff71 May 3, 2015, 12:41 PM

It’s so wonderful , but to big for the space that I have and I am trying to cut back on my LEGO collection ( has to be done and very hard to do.)

I’m surprised by the price. I thought it would be more because of the piece count. As you stated in the article it is a great price per piece. I can’t wait to get this, I’m tempted to buy another power functions motor ahead of time just in case it’s impossible to get like you said.

Kim, with the Power Function pieces there could very well be a shortage. I expect this set to be very-very popular. Power Functions won’t disappear, or course, if they run out they will restock for sure, but it may be worth picking up a pack before everybody wants one.

It looks good. It seems like there’s a shortage of red on the wheel though, maybe if the purple carts were made red, that would fix it. Or would it then look too normal? Purple is a rarer color in LEGO. ๐Ÿ˜
I really like the trees, though, and I can clearly see the use of the 6-stemmed Stalk piece. And, are those white inverted 1x3x3 arches new parts? They’re on top of the ticket stand (?), and I haven’t found any parts like it in the Brickset database. ๐Ÿ˜• Other than those, I don’t see any more new parts, though there must be somewhere on it. I like the minifigs, lots of good parts and printing on them, and all the Technic stuff! Technic is so awesome. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • admin May 3, 2015, 10:41 PM

Yeah, Jamie mentioned in the designer-video that those arches were new parts. If you watch the video he will show you everything that’s new. But that was pretty much it as far as a brand new part. The rest are just recolors if I remember correctly.

      • BLProductions May 4, 2015, 1:21 PM

Oh, I see. I hadn’t watched the designer video before. But yeah, the only other 2015 new part he showed was the 1×1 Beam.
After watching the video, I actually like the Ferris Wheel a lot more. Too bad I won’t be able to get it. ๐Ÿ™

Love this. No purchases this year after my splurge at Christmas (3x MMV, Diagon Alley and a few others).

However I might break my rule for this….. ๐Ÿ™‚

    • admin May 3, 2015, 10:39 PM

Yeah, this set deserve to break the rules.

  • LegoUniverse Bob May 4, 2015, 8:48 AM

I now have a 7.5% chance of getting this set, rather than just 0%! =P It looks good and, depending on how tall it is, I might fit it right next to me on my desk by replacing my giant bug MOC. But, I’ll probably not get it anyway (my parents and space). Hopefully I’ll be able to get back to getting LEGO sets once we move house (in a few months)…

  • CVJ May 4, 2015, 10:38 AM

Man, when I saw this set it went on my “must have list”.

    • admin May 4, 2015, 5:15 PM

      Yeah, it’s really beautiful, isn’t it? ๐Ÿ˜›

Yeah, sometimes it’s better to get a few smaller sets than one big one. ๐Ÿ™‚
