All LEGO Dimensions packs video-reviews

As we have discussed previously (see links at the end of this post), LEGO Dimensions is the newest LEGO game fusing together physical play and digital gaming. The game itself is massive, so is the number of LEGO sets that have been released to work with the game. It is perfectly normal to feel confused about the whole setup, and I suggest that you start with the LEGO Dimensions Available Now – Full Guide, if something is not clear. 🙂

LEGO Dimensions Press-Release

In general however, all you need to know is that to play the LEGO Dimensions game you will need a LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack. It is available for every major home console system including: Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. The LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack includes everything you need to start playing the game. The most important item is the LEGO Dimensions Toy Pad, which is basically the link between the physical LEGO characters, vehicles, gadgets, and the digital game itself. All versions of the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack are $99.99 – BUY HERE

Besides the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack, there are also many add-on packs. These are called LEGO Dimensions Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Packs. They offer additional characters and gaming experiences. You can read more about them LEGO Dimensions Available Now – Full Guide. The important thing to remember that all these add-on packs are fully compatible with all versions of the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack. So once you select your LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack based on what kind of console you have, the rest of the packs you don’t need to worry about; all will be compatible with the game. Prices for the LEGO Dimensions add-on packs range between $14.99 and $29.99 – BUY HERE

LEGO Dimensions Packs

In the following video-reviews JANGBRiCKS will show you all the various LEGO Dimensions sets in detail. Please note that the focus here is on the physical sets themselves, not the gaming experience, which we will discuss separately. Because the LEGO Dimensions packs include some rare or even never-before-seen licenses and characters, they are interesting not just to gamers, but also collectors. If you have been considering getting any of the packs, the reviews below will help in your selection.

The first few videos above focus on the entire first wave of LEGO Dimensions packs. JANGBRiCKS got all the sets, so you will have a chance to see everything. Remember that you don’t need to get all of them to play the game. All you need is the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack, and then you can add on additional packs if you so desire. The first video will show you all the packs together. The second video is about un-boxing the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack, and in the third video you see the LEGO Dimensions Portal being built (included in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack). The fourth video discusses how the packs work with the digital game using the special round bases (called Toy Tags) included with each character, vehicle and gadget. And in the fifth video you can see all the LEGO Dimensions add-on packs built and displayed together. I would suggest that you watch these first five videos to get a good idea about how the whole thing works.

LEGO Dimensions Sets

If you want to see individual LEGO Dimensions add-on packs, reviews of them start from the sixth video. You can use the drop-down menu in the upper left corner of the playlist to watch the review you are most interested in. Detailed reviews include all the LEGO Dimensions Level Packs, Team Packs and Fun Packs, so you have plenty to choose from.

I would like to play this game but as I only own a PC and no consoles I will have to pass on it. I might pick up the Portal 2 and Wizard of Oz level Packs though, they are really nice, like all the others.

I’m getting Dimensions soon! I’m really excited for it, it looks amazing. Also some interesting things were said at NYCC talking about Marvel being in Dimensions!
