LEGO Minecraft Skin Packs coming!

A few days ago it was announced at the official LEGO Minecraft Facebook page that LEGO will be releasing two LEGO Minecraft Skin Packs in September. Below are the details. ๐Ÿ™‚

LEGO Minecraft 2016

The #853609 LEGO Minecraft Skin Pack and the #853610 LEGO Minecraft Skin Pack include four unique minifigures each. It’s likely that they will be packaged similarly as the army-building sets in different themes, usually with four minifigures and a few accessories. Army-building sets costs $15, so we could expect a similar price for the LEGO Minecraft Skin Packs as well. In the following video-preview you can see all eight minifigures.

They are great, aren’t they? I particularly like the camouflaged character and the one that looks like an astronaut. They will be perfect additions to existing LEGO Minecraft sets that are mostly populated by various versions of Steve and Alex.

The LEGO Minecraft Skin Packs are scheduled for release on September 1st, and should be listed at that time under the LEGO Minecraft section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I have to get one! I hope they are affordable.

I may be able to create my own Minecraft skin with parts from this.

I cannot wait!

Duncan, based on current minifigs packs, the price should be $15 for each. Which is not bad for four unique minifigures. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes! I hope to be able to make a better Minecraft Moc with the new characters. (Steve and Alex get pretty boring)

The far left one on the second pack looks like a Terraria Paladin. Not sure how to feel about that.

Other than that, I have to say, I really like this whole set-up.

Oh! You are right! That’s really interesting!

I was going to say that it looked like a Silver Armor suit, but yeah, it definitely looks like something out of Terraria.

Some people on Brickset thought the bottom far left one looked like Boba Fett, and the second one to his right looked like Han Solo. ๐Ÿ™‚
I think they look pretty good, and will definitely appeal to LEGO Minecraft fans; it’s about time they made more player skins besides Steve and Alex. Too bad they didn’t do more recognizable skins from the game, though, like a squid or bear. Perhaps there will be more of these, which would be nice.
Also, admin, the set number you have for the second pack is incorrect, it should be 853610, not 854610. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thanks for catching that. I’m very bad with numbers. Had it corrected. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think if Minecraft continues to be as popular as it is, they will likely release future packs. BTW, the designers are very open and interactive on the Mincraft Facebook page and they regularly ask fans for suggestions and ideas. Two of the skins in this collection were directly chosen by fans.

Oh, and my favorite is the camouflaged skin and the astronaut looking one. ๐Ÿ˜€

Are those by any chance the two chosen by fans? ๐Ÿ˜‰
I think that the camouflaged skin is my favorite as well, although to be honest I don’t find any of them particularly interesting. I’m not on Facebook, but I’m sure plenty of people have suggested costumes like squids, cats, and bears by now. ๐Ÿ™‚
Also, LEGO is doing Double VIP Points today through Sunday. Somehow, my parents found out, and are wondering why I didn’t tell themโ€ฆ odd, it’s like they care about these things now. My dad says he’s going to get the Beetle, but he hasn’t even built Wall-E yet. I did read about the 2x VIP points, but I didn’t think my parents would care. Very strange. ๐Ÿ˜• I guess it benefits my brother and I though, so I won’t complain. ๐Ÿ™‚

The two skins suggested by fans was the astronaut and the one that looks like a pirate. It’s in the video I included. He-he… sounds like your parents caught the LEGO bug. The Double VIP thing this time is strange. It actually started yesterday, but was completely unadvertised. Now it is listed, and I also got an email about it. I will post about it tomorrow to make sure all our readers know. WALL-E and the Beetle? Your dad got good taste! ๐Ÿ˜€

I do like the explorer very much, and would definitely get it, because it has a extremely similar model to my minecraft skin.

Same eye color, clothes, and textures. Kinda creepy in a way…

This two pack is the best way to expand your Lego Minecraft Set. Nice job Lego.
