LEGO BrickHeadz Back to the Future & more!

Besides the new LEGO Jurassic World sets, LEGO Star Wars Solo sets, and LEGO Incredibles 2 sets (see links at the end of this post), another new set that sort of sneaked in mid-month is the #41611 LEGO BrickHeadz Marty McFly & Doc Brown characters from Back to the Future. Both characters have some nice details and prints, and even though they are very square and brick-built, they are instantly recognizable. 🙂

Doc Brown is in his white overalls with a toolbelt, and holds a detachable DeLorean time machine controller. His hair is white and messy, as it should be, although maybe not wild enough compared to the original character. Marty wears his red puffer vest. I really like how LEGO designers did the details of the vest – simple yet very effective. The shirt underneath is a printed piece. Marty’s only accessory is a camcorder.

The #41611 LEGO BrickHeadz Marty McFly & Doc Brown set is 240 pieces, and is available directly from LEGO at the LEGO BrickHeadz section of the Online LEGO Shop. Various retailers might also carry the set, but I’m not sure which ones. Also, remember that the #41514 LEGO BrickHeadz Owen & Blue set from Jurassic World, and the #41613 Mr. Incredible & Frozone set from The Incredibles are also now available.

For LEGO Star Wars fans the #41608 LEGO BrickHeadz Han Solo and the #41609 LEGO BrickHeadz Chewbacca come separately, but they are another good-looking new pair you might want to check out.

And, coming on May 1st is the #41610 LEGO BrickHeadz Tactical Batman & Superman from Justice League. Both characters are nicely detailed with some very fine printing.

Another LEGO BrickHeadz set I highly recommend is the #41597 LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me customizer kit. Even if you are not into BrickHeadz in general, this set is a great way to practice interesting building techniques while having fun turning yourself and your friends/family into BrickHeadz characters. We talked about the set previously here: LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me Review

LEGO BrickHeadz are very popular with collectors who want to get them all, but it is also perfectly fine to just get a couple of your favorite characters, or get the sets for the interesting parts and building techniques. You can find the currently available sets under the LEGO BrickHeadz section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? How do you like the BrickHeadz version of Marty and Doc Brown? Do you collect LEGO BrickHeadz? Which ones are your favorites so far? Have you tried the LEGO BrickHeadz Go Brick Me customizer set yet? Feel free to share your thoughts and own review in the comment section below! 😉

I want Marty and Owen because of their cool shirts. These are some of the first Brickheadz that are not superheroes. Great to add to the Brick Me set.

Did you guys notice that Marty’s hair is almost the same as the red and black haired brickheadz on the Go Brick Me box? Those designs are not in the instructions, which is consfusing, but if you like them you can just copy Marty’s hair. The only difference (I think) is that a 1×2 tile was used instead of a 1×2 plate for the hair that falls on his forehead.

I have noticed as well. The first BrickHeadz I wanted to build from the Go Brick Me set was the redhead kid with the earphones see on the box, and I was disappointed that while their is a BrickHeadz with earphones in the instructions, the hair was different. Still cool spiky hair, but I wanted the other style. Then, I noticed that Marty’s hair is exactly what I was looking for. 😀

Are these specific store exclusives? I can’t find them locally.

Apart from being sold at LEGO stores and LEGO S@H I do believe the Back to the Future set at least will be Target exclusive. In fact, it showed up in some Target stores before LEGO started selling them.

They are all available directly from LEGO, but other than that, I do believe they are store exclusives if you want to get them locally. I think Owen & Blue are a Wal-Mart exclusive, Marty & Doc Brown a Target exclusive, and the Incredibles 2 one is a Barnes & Noble exclusive. I may be mixing the last two up, but I’m fairly certain I have seen Owen & Blue at Wal-Mart.

I feel the brick head thing is a serious overkill.. Not intrested in them. However everyone is different to each their own 😉

I’m waiting for a Yoda brick heads and maybe an Ewok , Jawa etc.if that happens I’ll be on it like Jawa’s on a crash landed escape pod.lol!

Yoda, some Ewok and a Stormtrooper doesn’t sound too unlikely…

      • admin April 29, 2018, 11:48 AM

Yes, Yoda and a Stormtrooper are coming soon. They already have set numbers, but no pictures yet.

    • admin April 29, 2018, 11:47 AM

LOL! There is a Luke and Yoda two-pack coming later this year. The one I’m looking forward to the most is Boba Fett. He already came in a two-pack with frozen Solo, but I only want Boba. There is also a Princess Leia one coming, which should be cute. No Jawa though.

You never know with Lego. As much we have to step up our creative ability . So, should Lego.

  • Legostuff71 April 29, 2018, 12:52 PM

I think Gremlins would be cool to. I can see a Gizmo and a Stripe two pack.

    • admin April 29, 2018, 1:25 PM

Yeah, that would be cool! 😀
