Awesome news for LEGO Star Wars fans! To celebrate the release of the the Solo: A Star Wars Story film this weekend, LEGO is bringing back the exclusive #5005376 LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Pod special offer! You can get the pod free until June 3rd, with LEGO Star Wars purchases of $60 or more at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop. 🙂

The #5005376 LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Pod  is a highly desirable set in the LEGO Collectible Pods series. It was a special offer back in April, so it’s nice to see LEGO bringing it back for Star Wars fans who missed out the first time. Or, if you already got one, this is your chance to get more!

Also, remember all the recently released LEGO Star Wars sets related to the Solo: A Star Wars Story film! This includes the #75207 LEGO Star Wars Imperial Patrol Battle Pack, the #75209 LEGO Star Wars Han Solo’s Landspeeder, the #75210 LEGO Star Wars Moloch Landspeeder, the #75211 LEGO Star Wars Imperial TIE Fighter, and the #75212 LEGO Star Wars Kessel Run Millennium Falcon. You can check out reviews of the sets here: New LEGO Star Wars Solo Sets & More Review, and find them all under the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

In addition, we also got two new large buildable figures related to the movie; the #75535 LEGO Star Wars Han Solo, and the #75530 LEGO Star Wars Chewbacca. You can find them both under the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

There are also a couple of new LEGO Star Wars BrickHeadz characters to tie in with the film; the #41608 LEGO BrickHeadz Han Solo and the #41609 LEGO BrickHeadz Chewbacca. You can find them both under the LEGO BrickHeadz section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Another great news is that it seems like LEGO finally caught up with demand, as the #75192 LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Millennium Falcon has been consistently shown as available at the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Are you planning to watch the Solo: A Star Wars Story film this weekend? Or have you seen it already? And how do you like the LEGO sets related to the film? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! Please avoid movie spoilers though! 😉

I think that has to do with the new EU privacy regulation that went into effect yesterday. It seems like one of the effects is that your browser no longer saves your information and you have to type it in each time. But it seems that at least some browsers, as soon as you start typing your info will come up and all you have to do is select it. I noticed this too when visiting some websites. It’s annoying, but there is nothing we can do about it. 😐

Oh yeah, GDPR, I haven’t really understood what it’s about, but I’ve already received a two-digit number of e-mails from various mailing lists and online businesses I’ve frequented…

Tell me about it! Privacy policy updates every single date in the past two weeks! I think it will take a while until we figure out what this law is about. So far, there is just a lot of confusion as far as I can tell. 🙄

At the moment the plan is to rent it at RedBox on Blu ray when it comes out, unless someone I know encourages me to do otherwise… 😉

I just saw it. No need to rush. It was very mediocre. My least favorite SW movie to this point. It’s worth watching at least once though, just to stay in the SW loop.

Fair enough. To be honest up to this point my only major concern was that the person playing Han Solo looked (to me, at least) nothing like Harrison Ford.

Yeah, sadly, the reviews I’ve seen sounded pretty underwhelmed, as well. I might wait until it turns up on Netflix or cable…

Yeah, no, he doesn’t look or act like Harrison Ford at all. Nobody can be like Harrison Ford. 😀

Good point, “Nobody can be Harrison Ford”. 😉

Now that I think about it, I felt similarly about Chris Pine from the latest Star Trek movies (I’m about equally a fan of both Star Wars and Star Trek, keeps me from having to choose sides! :D) and while I didn’t have a problem with Chris’s performance, I struggled to see him as Capt Kirk. Could be just me, though.

I saw the movie last night. It was so boring! Han and Lando were terrible with no charisma at all. The story was simple, linear and predictable. The character interaction and dialogues were bad, awkward, or both. This movie should be wiped from history. At least the lego sets are okay.

I liked Chewy, the four armed dude, the cloud riders, and the train!! Lego should make that train!!! I don’t want to spoil it for others, but there were a couple of surprising turns. I agree that the actors could have been better, but imho the story was ok.

I liked the train too! Looked pretty awesome as it curved around the mountains! 😀

Hm… yeah, a lot of people didn’t like the movie. I thought it was an entertaining space movie, but I agree that it was not on par with any of the previous films. However, I also heard from people who really liked it.

Saw the movie last night as well. It didn’t even feel like Star Wars. Yes, the Falcon was there, and Chewy, and Lando, and Han, but neither the story nor the characters carried the epicness of Star Wars. It felt more like a generic bad sci-fi film. It wasn’t horrible, but it’s completely forgettable.

Come on guys, it wasn’t as bad. We got to see how Chewy, Han, and Lando met. That’s all what this movie really had to achieve. The rest is just bonus stuff, and it was enjoyable. But we need an L3-37 in Lego!

Håkan May 27, 2018 at 1:58 PM

Ha, L3-37, any relation to 13-37 ?

Who or what is is 13-37? 😕

Yes, that would be great! One good thing about the movie not performing well, is that we will likely find the sets on sale. 😉

Me when I was ten years old would have gone freaking nuts to have that $800 Millenium Falcon. Me at 48 is grateful I don’t have any kids, but still part of me would go freaking nuts if I got same said model. 😉

I should add that the reason I was grateful not to have kids so I didn’t have to be tempted all that more to get it. I don’t dislike kids nor do I not want to have any, but at this point in my life… Anyway, I’d be more tempted to spend the moolas for that massive model. 😀

Kids are a lot more expensive than the Falcon, so there is that too! 😀
