Oh that’s great about the water pod. Haven’t seen the movie yet but maybe this weekend.

My information has been deleted. How do I log on?

I think that has to do with the new EU privacy regulation that went into effect yesterday. It seems like one of the effects is that your browser no longer saves your information and you have to type it in each time. But it seems that at least some browsers, as soon as you start typing your info will come up and all you have to do is select it. I noticed this too when visiting some websites. It’s annoying, but there is nothing we can do about it. 😐

Oh yeah, GDPR, I haven’t really understood what it’s about, but I’ve already received a two-digit number of e-mails from various mailing lists and online businesses I’ve frequented…

Tell me about it! Privacy policy updates every single date in the past two weeks! I think it will take a while until we figure out what this law is about. So far, there is just a lot of confusion as far as I can tell. 🙄

Going to see the movie tonight!!!! So excited!!!

At the moment the plan is to rent it at RedBox on Blu ray when it comes out, unless someone I know encourages me to do otherwise… 😉

I just saw it. No need to rush. It was very mediocre. My least favorite SW movie to this point. It’s worth watching at least once though, just to stay in the SW loop.

Fair enough. To be honest up to this point my only major concern was that the person playing Han Solo looked (to me, at least) nothing like Harrison Ford.

        • Håkan May 27, 2018, 1:52 PM

Yeah, sadly, the reviews I’ve seen sounded pretty underwhelmed, as well. I might wait until it turns up on Netflix or cable…

        • admin May 27, 2018, 10:31 PM

Yeah, no, he doesn’t look or act like Harrison Ford at all. Nobody can be like Harrison Ford. 😀

          • Rob May 28, 2018, 11:09 AM

Good point, “Nobody can be Harrison Ford”. 😉

Now that I think about it, I felt similarly about Chris Pine from the latest Star Trek movies (I’m about equally a fan of both Star Wars and Star Trek, keeps me from having to choose sides! :D) and while I didn’t have a problem with Chris’s performance, I struggled to see him as Capt Kirk. Could be just me, though.

I saw the movie last night. It was so boring! Han and Lando were terrible with no charisma at all. The story was simple, linear and predictable. The character interaction and dialogues were bad, awkward, or both. This movie should be wiped from history. At least the lego sets are okay.

    • Sith015 May 27, 2018, 12:25 PM

I liked Chewy, the four armed dude, the cloud riders, and the train!! Lego should make that train!!! I don’t want to spoil it for others, but there were a couple of surprising turns. I agree that the actors could have been better, but imho the story was ok.

      • admin May 27, 2018, 10:33 PM

I liked the train too! Looked pretty awesome as it curved around the mountains! 😀

Star Wars Summer Holiday Special !

    • admin May 27, 2018, 10:33 PM

Hm… yeah, a lot of people didn’t like the movie. I thought it was an entertaining space movie, but I agree that it was not on par with any of the previous films. However, I also heard from people who really liked it.

  • brickmaster May 27, 2018, 1:12 PM

Saw the movie last night as well. It didn’t even feel like Star Wars. Yes, the Falcon was there, and Chewy, and Lando, and Han, but neither the story nor the characters carried the epicness of Star Wars. It felt more like a generic bad sci-fi film. It wasn’t horrible, but it’s completely forgettable.

  • jabber-baby-wocky May 27, 2018, 1:40 PM

Come on guys, it wasn’t as bad. We got to see how Chewy, Han, and Lando met. That’s all what this movie really had to achieve. The rest is just bonus stuff, and it was enjoyable. But we need an L3-37 in Lego!

Me when I was ten years old would have gone freaking nuts to have that $800 Millenium Falcon. Me at 48 is grateful I don’t have any kids, but still part of me would go freaking nuts if I got same said model. 😉

    • Rob May 29, 2018, 10:58 AM

I should add that the reason I was grateful not to have kids so I didn’t have to be tempted all that more to get it. I don’t dislike kids nor do I not want to have any, but at this point in my life… Anyway, I’d be more tempted to spend the moolas for that massive model. 😀

      • admin May 29, 2018, 4:15 PM

Kids are a lot more expensive than the Falcon, so there is that too! 😀
