The Daily Bugle set is really cool, but I just don’t have the room for it nor the money. It’s a little upsetting the fact that Daredevil the Punisher and Blade are in the set. I’m hoping they’ll be in smaller sets later on. I’m not too upset about it, considering I have one of the most rarest probably hard to find characters which is Deadpool. Which I think was a mistake by lego considering how violent he is. ( so was The Punisher and Blade go figure.) I’m looking forward to the other sets and may pick them up. Oh, let’s not forget Wolverine.( I have him too).

Well, I guess Daredevil and perhaps even Blade might be ‘possible’ albeit not ‘plausible’, but for Punisher, I wouldn’t hold my breath. He’s a kind of character that’s too far from Lego’s core values to be justified for a smaller, widely released set, And unlike some other quite nasty characters that’s appeared in superhero sets, I don’t think he ever has appeared in more kiddie-based fare.

Wolverine, yeah. I should have one or two myself.

Sigh, there are still so many of the core X-Men missing in Lego form…

You jumped the gun by a few hours. The Daily Bugle ain’t available until “tomorrow.”

    • Thita (admin) May 25, 2021, 10:15 PM

Yeah, sorry about that. This article was actually scheduled for the 26th. You guys are welcome to continue chatting about the sets, if you like. 🙂

I just got an e-mail stating in Swedish that the Bugle was “On discount 26/5”, Sigh, maybe Lego could hire some more proofreaders for their web translations…

I guess I’ll buy the Daily Bugle eventually, even if I’d wait for some 2xVIP points drive. Many interesting June releases I’m pondering…

Since I have so many old Light Gray baseplates, I wonder how the set would look on a Light Gray baseplate with a Dark Gray building. (The rail tracks are only available in Light Gray and Dark Gray (including Bluish variants) and Bright Blue, and although I have a bunch of old Blue tracks lying around, I think a blue Daily Buigle would look hideous….)

But considering the cash I’d have to fork out just for the original set, that might be later modification plans…

I made a comment earlier so what happened to it?

    • Håkan May 25, 2021, 5:11 PM

Occasionally the spam filter reacts to certain words or links, and you’d have to wait for Admin to check and approve it.

If you’re unlucky, I guess you could have posted it while the connection was down or some other technical error, so it got lost…

      • Thita (admin) May 25, 2021, 6:16 PM

I had it approved. Fortunately, comments rarely get lost, but it may take me a little bit to approve them if I’m not home. We have an enthusiastic spammer on our hand today, so the filter was probably over-reacting a bit. 😀

Thank you. This text stuff can be really complicated sometimes. There are so many cool Lego sets coming out this summer. I think I’m focusing on the city Safari rescue sets and the Ninjago theme. So, I’m wondering if the next ninjago theme will take place in space. I mean where else can they go. LOL!

    • Håkan May 25, 2021, 9:20 PM

As an old spacer, I approve!

  • Iani May 26, 2021, 6:59 PM

I like the Iron Man, it’s a good starter for mechs. I find the Daily Bugle a little boring, but it seems accurate compared to the comics version.

    • The Red Son May 27, 2021, 8:01 AM

I was thinking the same thing. I love building mechs! I’m planning to pick this up.

      • Håkan May 27, 2021, 10:50 AM

Apparently the mech is about 2-3 times larger than the original it’s based on. I guess the size makes it easier to create details and flexibility in posing, but Marvel sticklers have complained about the compromising of accuracy.

  • yoladiel May 26, 2021, 10:31 PM

They should have made the gauntlet vearable. It’s a missed opportunity. 😀

    • Henry III May 26, 2021, 10:48 PM

Haha! Yeah, that would have been great! I love all the gold and the size may be correct too for puny human hands. Maybe someone can convert it.

      • Håkan May 27, 2021, 10:38 AM

The problem with wearable Lego, is both that it’s so heavy and fragile, and so difficult to make bespoke…
