So, I just got a E-mail that my shipping status ( Mos Eisley cantina set) is going to be shipped in 60 days ( two months). it was available when I ordered it and the order has been accepted. Has this happened to anybody else and how good was the outcome? First time that this happened to me.(do I still get the freebee and my double vip points?)

Oh… my guess is that orders were coming in so fast and furious, stuff was flying off the warehouse shelves. I was kind of expecting this. Anyhow, I did have this happen to me once. I got my double VIP Points, I also got the freebie (they shipped it separately and it arrived before the actual set I ordered). And the set itself arrived much faster then they predicted. (I think in my case it was predicted to ship in 30 days, but it actually arrived in a couple of weeks. But this was before pre-COVID, so it could be different now.) You can always call customer service to confirm when they will be able to ship.

I ordered some loose bricks from Bricks And Pieces on the last 2 x VIP drive, and was told they would take something like 5-7 weeks to ship. I hope they won’t forget the 2 x VIP points when it’s time for shipping…

        • Håkan May 3, 2021, 7:52 AM

Hmm, today it seems my first batch actually was shipped. Nice to know.

  • Legostuff14 May 1, 2021, 9:23 PM

Thanks for the info. I tried customer service but the wait was about 45 minutes and I gave up. I’m sure the set I ordered is in the system and it will come when it comes. I was just so happy to order it and a bit lucky at the same time. Cross my fingers and hope that all goes well.

    • Thita (admin) May 2, 2021, 10:20 AM

Yeah, the current wait times are crazy long. I also had to wait 45 minutes the last couple of times I called. I sort of expect it now, so I just put my phone on low volume (so I don’t have to listen to the elevator music), and do something else in the meantime. Oh, and I also found that online chat via their customer service site is usually faster!

      • Håkan May 2, 2021, 11:40 AM

I prefer chatting and e-mail to telephone conversations, myself. Maybe it’s a slightly introverted trait or something…

        • Thita (admin) May 2, 2021, 12:15 PM

I like chats too because it automatically documents the conversation. This is especially relevant in tech support type situations where you may want to reference later some of the information given. And it seems that chat support is used less often, so you usually get through faster to an actual person. 🙂

          • Håkan May 2, 2021, 1:53 PM

Documenting the conversation, yeah. You can never have too much paranoia… 😉

            • Thita (admin) May 2, 2021, 2:50 PM

Haha! It’s not so much about paranoia, it’s more that sometimes things like tech support talk goes way over my head and it’s super helpful to have it in writing. That way I can follow along at my own pace, or I can share it with someone who can help out. Had to do it several times for this site. 😀

  • Legostuff14 May 2, 2021, 1:03 PM

The sign of the robots up rising and soon they’ll take over ( if they haven’t alrighty.) Lol! I just like to talk to a live voice . Technology has gotten so cold and no longer connects with human beings .It reminds me of a song , instead of “my grandma and your grandma sitting by the fire….”Its going to be my ” my computer and your computer sitting by a digital fire “….? I guess?

    • Thita (admin) May 2, 2021, 1:17 PM

That’s also true. Both writing and talking with a person has its place. In general, I prefer official conversations in writing and friends/family interactions in person. Having choices is a good thing. 🙂

  • Master Builder May 2, 2021, 9:59 PM

I think I’m saving up for the summer sets. I really like the City and Creator sets coming. Happy Star Wars Day, anyway!

    • Håkan May 3, 2021, 7:53 AM

Yeah, the new animal molds look good, if perhaps a bit pricy.

  • Tanner May 3, 2021, 9:04 AM

Surprisingly, many if the sets are still in stock. They seem to have done better managing things. Even the freebie is still available.
I’m tempted to put in a second order. 🙃
