Series 23 of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures is going to be released on September 1st at the Online LEGO Shop. The series features an eclectic mix of costumed and other fun characters with several of them perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
The Knight of the Yellow Castle brings back a classic shield design and also includes a cute stick horse perfectly sized for a minifigure. The girl in the Green Dragon Costume is a perfect match for the Red Dragon Suit Guy from Series 18.
We have gotten several robots in the LEGO Collectible Minifigure series, but this is the first time we are getting a Cardboard Robot Costume. The guy in the Popcorn Costume is another cute character that would look great advertising a popcorn shop in a busy city.
Three other interesting characters are the Nutcracker, Sugar Fairy (with candy cane), and Ferry Captain with a tiny wearable ship. I think this little ship is going to be very popular with micro-builders. It could even be a great addition to the #31203 LEGO Art World Map set!
The Turkey Costume will be perfect for Thanksgiving and even includes a pumpkin! And notice that the Wolf Costume features a printed sack!
The final three characters in the series are all Christmas/winter-themed; a Snowman (finally!) a girl in a Reindeer Costume with a cute printed heart-shaped gift item in a gift box (also printed), and an adorable Holiday Elf with pigtails and a snow globe.
I think this series is going to be very popular as we’re gearing up for the holiday season. The characters are great for collecting, playing, decorating, and gift-giving. Each of them costs $4.99 and will be available starting on September 1st at the minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop. Another series currently available is twelve characters from The Muppets. They are also available at the minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I definitely want all of these, and more than one of each!
Hmm, I tend to cherry-pick a few of these pre-sorted online, but I feel I have to start getting selective with the price increases already.
I might buy the knight and the cardboard robot, though. Unsure about the others.
I love that snowman so much !
Me too! I can’t believe it took Lego this long to make a minifig snowman!
I haven’t collected all of them for a while now. Only pick my faves. From this batch, I love the snowman, the dragon, the popcorn, the robot, the boat and the elf. 😀
One of the best series in my opinion. Great mix of figs! 👍😊
Isn’t the “cute printed heart-shaped gift item” a gingerbread cookie? It looks similar to the gingerbread hearts I always see on Christmas Time in Sweden… Or is there another heart-shaped gift item hidden in that teal box found on the smaller pictures?
(I see now that the knight also comes with a sword, besides the stick horse, depending on if you want to pose it as a serious knight, or as a kid playing dress-up.)
