There is an exciting new LEGO contest over at Toys-N-Bricks! This one with a space-travel theme! 😛
➡ THE CHALLENGE: The last NASA Space Shuttle launch is set for the 8th of July. To celebrate and mark this very special event, Toys-N-Bricks is proud to present “The Next Generation of Space Travel Contest”. Space Shuttle Launches are ending, what will be the next generation of space travel for NASA? You decide! (Note that this should have some sort of “realism” so don’t build stuff that’s too sci-fi, like an X-wing or Imperial Star Destroyer.)
➡ THE DEADLINE: July 17th, 2011, 21:00 PST (July 18th – 0:00 EST)
That is only 23 days, so there is no time to waste!
➡ THE PRIZES: The gold winner will receive a brand-new copy of the LEGO #3368 Space Center and a LEGO #3365 Space Moon Buggy. And the silver winner will receive a brand-new copy of the LEGO #3366 Satellite Launch Pad and the LEGO #3365 Space Moon Buggy.
➡ THE DETAILS: Check out the LEGO contest details, eligibility, and how to submit your entry here: The Next Generation of Space Travel Contest
I won first place at a previous LEGO contest at Toys-N-Bricks, and I would highly recommend entering! Members on this forum are super sweet, it was easy to understand and follow the process of participating in the contest, voting was fun, and I got my prize really fast! If you would like some ideas, check out Tips for Winning a LEGO Contest! 😉
I’m gonna have to enter this one! 😀
Thanks for posting! I may enter this one too! Got some ideas!
Good luck, guys! Let me know how it goes! 😉
UPDATE: The deadline of the contest was extended until July 31st!
Also, if you are a winner, now you can now choose your prize; either the sets mentioned above, or a LEGO gift-card! 😀
Oh, really? The deadline was changed?! That is great news! I was thinking of entering, but then time just went by, have been busy! Thanks for the update!
I would love to enter, but i don’t have enough pieces for what i woudl like to build! 🙁
Jason, I know what you mean. Maybe try to build something with what you have? Will just wrote a really good post about being creative with limited amounts of LEGO. It may give you some ideas. 😉
