While we are waiting for further episodes of LEGO NINJAGO: Rise of the Snakes, I thought to summarize what we know so far about the NINJAGO storyline. Yes, there are rumors that the Green Ninja is Lloyd Garmadon, and while there is compelling evidence to support this, the fact remains that we won’t know for sure until Episode 10. And since Sensei Wu warned us about the destructive power of rumors, let’s just stick to the facts we know so far from the first 5 episodes. So here we go:
➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 1: RISE OF THE SNAKES
In the first episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes we find Sensei Wu trying to motivate his four students (Kai, Jay, Zane and Cole) to continue training even at the time of peace, as there is the possibility of the return of Lord Garmadon (Sensei Wu’s evil older brother) to get the four weapons of Spinjitsu. However the four ninja prefer to spend their days playing video games. Shortly after, they get news that Lord Garmadon has been spotted in a nearby village. The four ninja leave to face Lord Garmadon, only to find that the intruder is actually Garmadon’s son, Lloyd – a small boy, who escaped from the boarding school for bad boys, and is now creating trouble around the village by stealing all the candy. The four ninja easily run him out of town, and Lloyd promises revenge. As the ninja prepare to return home they discover that Kai has accidentally taken Sensei Wu’s bag, containing a scroll that tells of a prophecy; one ninja will rise above the others and become the Green Ninja, who is destined to defeat the Dark Lord. The four ninja all believe that one of them is going to be the Green Ninja, and decide to hold a tournament to find out who is the best amongst them. In the process they almost burn down the monastery. Sensei Wu scolds his pupils about their foolishness. Meanwhile, as Lloyd wonders around fuming over his defeat, he uncovers one of the tombs of the Serpentine, the ancient snake-people locked away long ago. After accidentally hypnotizing the Hypnobrai leader (blue/gray snakes), Lloyd takes command of the snakes, and wreaks havoc in the same village by having the snakes hypnotize all the villagers. The four ninja rush to the village and defeat the Hypnobrai, then use the anti-venom found in their staff to cure the villagers. The four ninja promise to train hard for the troubling times lying ahead caused by the release of the Serpentine.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 2: HOME
In the second episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes we find the ninja in their daily life at the monastery. It is revealed that Zane is an orphan and he never knew his parents. In the meantime at the Forest of Tranquility, Lloyd instructs the Hypnobrai to create a fortress for him to rule Ninjago. Some of the snakes however are not happy about serving the silly orders of a small boy and conspire against their leader, who has been hypnotized by Lloyd. Later that night, when Zane takes out the trash, he notices a falcon that mimics his every move. As the falcon flies away Zane decides follow. The falcon leads Zane to Lloyd’s tree-house. The following day Zane comes back with the other ninja to destroy Lloyd’s fortress. Things go a bit awry though when one of the snake-people hypnotizes Cole, causing him to attack the other ninja. However Sensei Wu comes to the rescue with a magic flute that breaks the spell. After destroying the fort, they all return to the monastery only to find it burnt to the ground by the snake-people. Zane follows the falcon again, which leads him to an abandoned ship that will become our heroes’ new home. Meanwhile, at the Hypnobrai tomb, one of the snakes, challenges the current leader of the tribe to fight for command of the tribe, and he wins. The new leader banishes Lloyd, demanding he never returns. Lloyd leaves, but he also takes with him a map he found at the tomb with the location of the other snake-tribes.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 3: SNAKEBIT
In the third episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes Lloyd uses the stolen map to find the Fangpyre snake-tribe’s (red/white snakes) tomb, where he offers an alliance to get revenge on both the Hypnobrai and the ninja. The tribe’s general agrees, but first he wants to build up his army by using the special ability of the members of his tribe; they can transform anything they bite into snakes. Meanwhile, Jay’s parents pay a visit to the ninja headquarters and ask Jay to visit them soon. Jay’s parents run a junkyard, and when they get home they get assaulted by the Fangpyre. Jay’s parents get bitten by the Serpentine and begin their transformation into snakes! In addition the snakes also bite into the old vehicles in the junkyard, turning them into snake-mobiles. The following day Jay keeps his promise and visits his parents, along with the other ninja, Sensei Wu, and Nya. When they arrive, they find Jay’s parents captive turning more and more into snakes! The Fangpyre fight the ninja, who are finally able to rescue Jay’s parents. Sensei Wu explains that only to change Jay’s parents back is to get the anti-venom from the snake-staff the Fangpyre leader carries. However the Fangpyre (along with Lloyd) begin to retreat, carrying the staff with them. After discovering their weapons have the ability to transform into vehicles, Jay uses his plane to steal the snake-staff. The four ninja, Sensei Wu, Nya, and Jay’s parents quickly return to their headquarters and administer the anti-venom to Jay’s parents. In the meantime however the Fangpyre catch up with them, ready to attack and retrieve the snake-staff. Jay’s father is able to repair the defense system on the ship just in time for a quick escape.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 4: NEVER TRUST A SNAKE
In the fourth episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes Zane has a dream about the Green Ninja fighting Lord Garmadon and tells the other ninja about it during their training. Sensei Wu, seeing their distraction, gives the ninja a riddle to solve: “What is the best way to defeat an enemy?” Meanwhile Lloyd and the Fangpyre prepare to attack the Hypnobrai (the Serpentine who betrayed Lloyd in the first episode). However, it turns out that the leaders of the two tribes are actually friends and they betray Lloyd. Lloyd then finds the tomb of the Anacondrai (purple snake), the third snake-tribe. Pythor is the last surviving member of his tribe (there is an indication that he devoured them all). The two of them become friends and create havoc around Ninjago. They also take over Lloyd’s boarding school that kicked him out previously. The four ninja arrive to stop their mischief. As Pythor and Lloyd get cornered on the roof of the school-building, Pythor betrays Lloyd and also steals his map before disappearing. The ninja capture Lloyds and take him back to their headquarters, discussing what kind of punishment they should bestow upon him. However instead of punishing the boy, Sensei Wu reads him a bedtime story about why snakes should never be trusted. The ninja are confused about Sensei Wu’s leniency. Sensei Wu finally reveals the answer to his previous riddle: “The best way to defeat and enemy is to make them your friend”.

➡ LEGO NINJAGO – EPISODE 5: CAN OF WORMS
In the fifth episode of Ninjago Rise of the Snakes Lloyd Garmadon plays tricks on the ninja – by the order of Sensei Wu – to teach them about the destructive power of rumors. One of Lloyd’s tricks is to mix up Zane’s (the white ninja) laundry with Kai’s (the red ninja), which makes Zane’s ninja suit turn pink! poor Zane! (But interestingly, later in the story being pink is what saves Zane, and ultimately the other ninja.) They then split up into two teams – Kai with Jay and Zane with Cole – to locate the last two Serpentine tombs before Pythor can find them and unite the snake tribes. However they are two late and Cole and Zane get attacked by a member of the Constrictai tribe (black/orange snakes). They escape however and hurry to help Kai and Jay who had been attacked by Pythor and the Venomari tribe (green snakes). The four ninjas get overpowered by the snakes, however at the last minute a mysterious samurai saves them (who is Nya in disguise). The ninja then head over to Ninjago city to stop the tribes uniting. They use the power of rumors to their advantage and to stop the tribes from forming a truce, but eventually they get captured, except Zane. Zane then frees the others and they manage to escape, leaving Serpentine in disarray.

Pythor declares himself to be the destined leader who will reawaken The Great Devourer – an ancient beast who can’t be killed and will consume all of Ninjago.

When the four ninja follow the mysterious falcon into the woods, they stumble on a hidden work shop where Zane learns the secret about his past and in the process, he is the first ninja to unlock his true potential.

Jay and Nya have to cut their first date in Mega-Monster Amusement Park short as the Serpentine are on their way to retrieve the first or four fang blades to be used to awaken the Great Devourer.

- How does Lord Garmadon fits into this whole story? So far we have only seen him in Zane’s dream. 😕

Ever notice te episode 11 is called all OF nothing not all or nothing. That must mean something. Just something to think about. 😉
It means that when the ninjas THNK they have the 4 fang blades (at the end of the episode) thet DON’T. Trust me. I figured that out long before my brothers ans sisters.
If it had been other wise, Pythor wouldn’t have let cole get them so easily. Pythor followed the ninjas to the boat because he wanted to make sure that they thought they had the real fang blades. Otherwise he wouldn’t have laughed so much to him self.

I just found this out and I though I’d post it right away!!!
The ninja must battle The Great Devourer to save all of Ninjago. Lloyd goes to the Spirit Coast to ask the Hydro-Dragon for help, and the Ninja combine their vehicles to form the Ultra Sonic Raider. In the end, Lord Garmadon sacrifices himself using the four weapons to destroy the Great Devourer and the Serpentine. Ninjago is at peace, at last!
P.S. my brother thinks it is rotten that lord garmadon sarifices himself becaues he likes lord garmadon!!! 🙂 😉

Maybe Kai’s true potential will be unlocked when he learns to let Nya have her own way and help because he’s always trying to protect her. My other idea is that he learns accept that others(Lloyd) can be better than him.
Zane, I watched the upcoming episodes in Korean, and although I could not understand it, it seems that Kai reaches his full potential when he put others’ needs before his own need to be the best. He protected and saved Lloyd. It is pretty sweet! 🙂

I don’t watch the korean episodes anyway. I did it on episode 8 and it totally ruined it when i saw it so i say that is kind-of good you can’t watch ideos so you won’t be tempted to watch them especially when you have nothing to do fo a few hours late at night like i do. 😐

I’m still not sure I’ve got this straight. Are you trying to say that all we have to do is come up with the details, and Lego will basically give the winner whatever prize we agreed on?
Yes, we can run contests and LEGO sponsors the prizes. We have run contests here before and several other LEGO fan-sites do it as well. FBTB, ToysNBricks, Eurobricks, Classic Castle – just to name a few off the top of my head. I have also entered and won several contests (at other sites) myself.
Since you guys are into Ninjago, I figured you would like a contest in the Ninjago theme. Come up with an interesting and challenging contest, I will set it up and advertise it, and you will all have a chance to enter and win.
Its just an opportunity I thought you guys should know about. It gives you an chance to show your skills, gain fame in the LEGO community, and win some awesome prizes. Many now famous builders started out by entering contests and people got to know their work. Some of them even ended up working for LEGO. 😉
Well, I don’t have any ideas as to what size prizes you were thinking about, but (as long as we’re sticking with Ninjago), I have several ideas:
1) A few small prizes could be, a key chain or two, the Green ninja Headband, or a pick-your-spinner prize. Of course, you could also specify what spinner, but the nice thing about picking your spinner is that you won’t get a repeat.
2) Cole + Rattla starter set would be a nice prize (although maybe that’s just because I don’t have it 😉 ) and so would the spinner case + the card album. As far as all these prizes go, I’m thinking more in the short term – say an April deadline. If the contest’s deadline isn’t until June, that could change to Kai vs. Chokun Weapon Pack, for example. Or you could offer all the upcoming booster packs (three, I believe). I’m also assuming that you couldn’t have any prize of items not listed on lego.com.
3) Now, if you wanted big prizes, I have two ideas:
a. all the ninjas vehicles – $130 – not including the boat (If you wanted to include that, it would cost $210)
b. all the snake vehicles – $160 If you were going to have such a big prize you could allow winners to pick which of the two.
Good thinking! Yes, for small, quick contests, we can do smaller sets, packs, spinners, as prizes. We can maybe give 2 weeks as a deadline for everyone to enter. For more serious building contests with bigger prizes I would give people at least a month to enter. It takes time to come up with a great idea, design it, build it, photograph it, upload it, etc. I know from experience. 😉
Sponsorship of prizes is not a problem. The more important part is coming up with the contest idea itself. It should be fun and challenging at the same time. It could be something like the tallest, or biggest, or smallest, or fastest something. Or it could be something historical. It could be according to baseplate size, or piece-count (like 300 pieces max), or using one piece in a unique way, or build a replica of something. Or build something out of the world of Ninjago, or from the movies, that LEGO hasn’t built… These are just some ideas to get your thinking started. 😛
well – unfortunatly cole vs. rattla is not on lego.com anymore. I don’t suppose lego would offer a prize that’s been sold out, would they?
There are a lot of other things to come up with as well. For example, would the winners be chosen at random or by judges? Personally I think judges would be better, but if so, who would the judges be? One option would be having two categories (maybe under 12 and 12+ – I would try to make it a fifty-fifty spilt between likely entries) and give one group’s creations to the other group for judging. If we could come up with the theme by, say, the 20th, we could make the deadline April first. That may sound a bit soon but eleven days really should be enough. And if you only have, say, 8 entries by that time, you could always extend the deadline. (You’ll get at least five entries – from us 😉 ) The nice thing about such a close deadline is it would mean less time to wait for the results. 😉
For a quick and fun rafter with smaller prizes winners can be chosen at random, but for a building contest it would definitely be judged by the builder’s skills and the awesomeness of the entry itself, with at least a month to enter. I would probably ask our countributors to be the judges (Sarah, Will, Quad, Maxx, etc.), or I also like your idea of two separate groups judging the other group’s entries.
The focus should be on the opportunity to use your skills and build something awesome, not on winning prizes. The prizes are there to motivate you guys and reward you for your effort, but it is the journey that is important, not the destination.
So, you definitely have to give people time to enter. It also takes me about a week to put a contest together, and another week to advertise, judges also need time to make a decision. I’m definitely not going to run a contest for 5 people so they can throw in some crappy entries and expect to win $100 sets! There is no challenge there. No excitement. No anticipation! A contest is not a givaway. It is a way to stretch yourself and show the community what you can do. 😉

your idea about something from the ninjago movie is great!! I was actually thinking along that line myself. And, I do agree, the bigger the prize, the longer the deadline should be. I had though we could pick one episode and challange people to create something from just that one episode. Or you could pick a scene – like ed and ednas car. or ninjago city (thought that woudl be tough!!) or the junkyard or cole’s father’s house.
Hm… the car of Jay’s parents is a good idea! I like that! Also the junk-yard and the house of Cole’s father. Now your ideas are rolling! 😀
or it could be – along a more historical theme – the recreation of some famos battle feild. In that case, you might want someone to write a short essay on the battle to help explain things.

Again, I’m on a kindle. I will say several things:
1. It has a fully stocked kitchen.
2. It has a large yellow/gold window in th dining area.
3 I have weapons from spinners/booster packs out in their training area in the little lego crates.
4. Each ninja, Nya, and Lloyd all have their own rooms.
5. Lloyd’s room has the rarer lego book elements.
6. Most of it has mismatched colors.
7. At the twist of a knob, the front doors open or close.
8. Sensei Wu was the first minifigure in it and still doesn’t have a room (Kai DX was the second).
9. I have add-in dummies, equipment, and stun lasers for the training area (I even added a button for the minifigures to press).
10. Eventually, I’m going to add a video game area.

Guess how long it took me to build it.
5 days?
4 hours. My brother’s room was stocked with the kind of bricks I needed. Only one part was made previously, which would be the doors.
I also put a basketball net in, and, yes, there are actual B-ball net pieces. And where theres a net, theres a ball. And, again, I also have a basketball piece.
P.S. The 4th hour was for adding detail.
P.S.S. The time does include the time it took to find all the bricks & pieces.

The way I got into Lego Ninjago:
I had just read the Inheritance Cycle and I wanted my minifigure to become Dragon Rider. I needed a dragon so I got Lightning Dragon Attack for the lightning dragon. I then decided I needed a Rider’s sword. The only sword that fit was the Sword of Fire so I got the Mountain Shrine set for the Sword. I was going to take apart the ninja (Kai DX, Jay DX, Sensei Wu) but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I then decided I needed the Shurikens of Ice & the Scythe of Quakes (L.D.A. had the Nunchuks of Lightning). I got the Scythe when I bought the Fangpyre Mech & the Shurikens from the Kendo Zane spinner (I took apart the shuriken mace thing). I decided to get my favorite, Zane ZX, in the Venomari Shrine. I then built a monastery & decided I needed the other ZX ninjas. Then I wanted the Serpentine Staves. I bought the Rattlecopter(Constrictai), Kai’s Blade Cycle(Hypnobrai), and Fangpyre Truck Ambush(Fangpyre). Now I’m after the ninjas’ vehicles. Already having the Blade Cycle and Snowmobile, I need the Storm Fighter & Tread Assault. Now I’ve set my mind to getting all of the upcoming sets, revealed and not revealed.
If you were wondering, Zane ZX lived on the Black Pearl (Pirates of the Carribbean) for a while. My Lego Universe combines quite a few themes.

Ever notice how in Ninjago there are four of everything; 4 elements, 4 ninja, 4 Spinjitzu weapons, 4 dragons, 4 large Serpentine tribes, 4 Serpentine staves released in sets, 4 fang blades, Samukai had 4 arms, et cetera. This MUST mean something…..
Yeah, and have you ever noticed that the four elements of the ninja spell out LIFE? Lightning + Ice + Fire + Eart? 😉
No, but THAT means something. Maybe that’s a reason why LEGO chose lightning & ice over wind & water.
Yeah, that’s what I thought too! One of the cool features of Ninjago is all the hidden references and meanings. It is like a riddle you can spend hours trying to figure out! 🙄
Now that I think about it, what if the Green Ninja’s element is life. After all, green = life.
Zane, that is very possible. Isn’t his symbol is a curled-up snake, which refers to the circle of life and death?

Zane, I’m not sure about the snake, it just just what it seemed to be the symbol at the back of the Green Ninja’s uniform. Hopefully we will find out soon! 😉

wow! I had never noticed that!! I kind of figured that lego chose lightning and ice over air and water because they were more exciting.
and the green ninja is just like the fifth essecnce (or quintessence). That’s why he doesn’t exactly have an element. He’s like the force that holds the ninja together.

I would record the episode on the computor myself and share it if i could. I have windows media player, just not a t.v. tuner. If anyone has both i could tell you how to record t.v. episodes on you’re computor. I reasearched it the other day to see if i could, so i know how to do it. PLEASE tell me if you do because we might be able to get the new episodes of ninjago up by the day they broadcast or the next depending on everyone’s scedule!( i can see the episodes when they come out, i just wanted to help the people who can’t! Thumbs up to them for waiting for the new Ninjago episode to be posted here and to admin, cole, and everyone else who helps with the search) 😉 8)

I think its quite sad that Lord Garmadon sacrifices himself, espicially since he starts to become good. I’ve seen the Pictures for the lego great Devourer, but I wonder what it will look like in the real thing, Already seen a pic of it, but its tiny!!!
I agree. It is very sad. After all Garmadon was not at fault that he turned evil. He was a great kid, and in some ways a wiser and braver ninja than his brother, Wu. So now, that he is starting to come around, it is really sad that he sacrifices himself. 😥

Fang suei first the ninjas and nya put the four golden weapons on Lloyd so it made green electricity on him then sensei said ” Lloyd the green ninja ” that was in episode 10 I think I already put a Korean link bye.
I just watched episode 8. In his NRG state, Cole becomes invulnerable! Pythor can keep people alive in his stomach. Maybe he did eat the other Anacondrai and he may release them in the future. Since Pythor has such a large stomach, what if a ritual, including the fang blades, turns him into the Great Devourer.
And Lord Garmdon still is evil. He and Wu made it back to Ninjago. They also fought ROCK MONSTERS! Cole never told his dad he was a ninja and that seemed to be what was holding him back.
of course. And why do you say lord garmadon is still eivl?? He just reminds me of lloyd when he first came to the ninjas.

2. He’s still after the Four Weapons of Spinjitzu(Wasn’t that the purpose of the four arms).

ummm. . . that’s a lot of sp. keep in mind that (at least on the current cards) the max amount is 2000. And lego is going to have a seasom three, so the ninjas have to get better some how!! I was thinking more along the 1200 line – but how would they be divided?
Hey lexi(sorry for reply at very botton at page 😛 ) I made a blue Lego car for pnewood derby!It had lightninjg bolts on the side, and on the front it showded a lego brick with LEgo under it! I also sacraficed a lego piece by glueing a yellow 2×4 plate on the top and putting a blue custom racer on the plate! 😀 😛

Tydroid, sure we can do that as far as the prizes. That sounds good. We just need some more detailed ideas about the contest itself. What should be the challenge? Buildings? Vehicles? A whole scene? Mosaics? What scale? Big? Micro? Those are the things that need to be worked out. For such wonderful prizes I would expect you guys to do some serious work! 😉

It’s NOT lightning. (It’s exacty teh same as sensei wus as fr as sp goes) Although, if anything, that is his dominant element becaues he cam with more lighining cards tahn anything else.

My favorite is the Dragon Sword of Fire. The surikens are cool too, but they arn’t as cool as in the movie. And I love the nunchuchs (how in the world do you spell that?) in the movie. I wish lego had done a better job with them.

Over the the summer, my brother and I may go to our grandparents. I wanted to bring Ninjago with me so I managed to find a Lego chess set box (It’s been lost for 3 years) to store the ninja, some Serpentine, possibly Lord Garmadon, skullkins, and enough weapons for them all.
I may also bring some spinners because what’s Ninjago without Spinjitzu?

Yes, others have reported this too. The server has been experiencing some problems since Saturday. I think it is related to that. They are working on it and hope they will fix it soon. TBB was down for 3 hours on Saturday and 45 minutes this morning. So yeah, I’m upset. 😐
