No, I didn’t mean Ninjago Season Two – Ninjago Season One is now available for pre-order. And while most of us thought it was over long ago, it seems like that may not be the case! 🙂
The original two-episode series of Ninjago (later split into four) in which the ninja train, learn the martial-art of Spinjitzu, battle (and ultimately loose to) the skeleton army, is not Ninjago Season One – instead, these episodes are now being called the pilot episodes, at least by some.
Basically, these original Ninjago episodes served the purpose of an introduction – which makes sense, since it is odd that the first season would have only two episodes and the next season thirteen. If the Season Two rumors are correct (that is, the episodes about the pirates and the stone army), then it’s pretty obvious that there has to be a third season to complete the story. In that case, there will be a total of only three seasons, as has been rumored, but there will be a follow-up to next year’s season. Confused? 🙄
It is also interesting to note that the LEGO Club Magazine never once refers to the Ninjago seasons as One and Two (or anything besides “the series” – with the occasional addition of an adjective – for that matter). Although the official release date for the DVD is not until June 26th, it is available for pre-order from both Amazon and Wal-Mart.
Ninjago Season One is on two discs, and does not appear to contain any bonus features. Also, the DVD clearly says Ninjago Season One, and another interesting feature is the fact that Lloyd appears not only in ZX costume, but with long pants, unlike in the show itself. This also clearly spoils the “Who is the Green Ninja?” question for anybody who didn’t know yet.
All in all, this raises (at least in my mind) several questions. Will there be any mini-movies for the new series? Why is Lloyd taller, if he doesn’t appear taller in the series? What about Lloyd’s face; will the original smirk be the same on his spinner? How will the ninja retrieve their golden weapons from Lord Garmadon in Ninjago Season Two? Wow… I am so confused… LEGO doesn’t make anything simple do they? But I bet it’s because the first two episodes were more of a test, to see the reaction as to whether it would be popular. Evidently they got good feedback if they’re going to do two more seasons.
Makes me wonder if there are two more years of Ninjago sets too. Most people I’ve talked to have only guessed at one more year. It’ll be interesting to see what actually happens.

I also considered the question about Lloyd’s height. My guess is that he grows in between season one and season two.
there is a very good possibility. but one wierd thing is that in the epic dragon battle set he has tall legs… wierd
that’s probably the case. the odd thing is, the DVD is of the season where lloyd is introduced, where he never shows up with tall pants – plus, in the new sets, he has long pants, like Purple Ninja pointed out.

It does seem like there will be only four years – possibly a sort of concluding year, but I doubt it. And it’s likely that a lot of the rumors we’ve heard will change a bit (or a lot!) 😉

Ok, lets see if I understand this correctly. The dvd we own now has two episodes of “Masters of Spinjitsu” 1 and 2, will this next dvd release called season 1 have the rest of “Masters of Spinjitsu” and all of the “Rise of the Snakes?”
Well, ise of the snakes is acutally part of “Masters of Spinjitzu” – that’s just the title of the whole movie. The new DVD, whic says season one, contains all or “Rise of the Snakes”, nothing else, at least so it seems. Most ninjago fans ahve been calling “Rise of the Snakes” season two, when it’s really season one. Thus the confusion.
So, will they have a dvd for episodes 3-8? I have scene episode list of “Masters of Spinjitsu” episodes 1-8 and “Rise of the Snakes” episodes 1-13. If I am not mistaken the “Red” covered dvd has only episodes 1 and 2 of “Masters of Spinjitsu”. So we are missing several episodes between the first two or “pilot” episodes and the episodes that are contained in the new dvd.
Episodes 3-8 are online mini movies that are only a couple of minutes long, if even that. I really doubt that theyll put them on.
Since those are avalible on the Lego website, and also since they didn’t really introduce much that was new or significant in the development of the ninjas, I don’t think they will have thier own DVD. – especially since, like NRG Jay says, they’re only about two minutes long each.

WELL, if anyone is getting tired of Ninjago (Ahh! sacrilege!) on lego Cuusoo they are coming out with Japanese style architecture! And they might be adding samurai! I think this would be a fitting alternative, as I’m not really into ninjago but I am into Japanese architecture.
He-he, you may get the Ninjago fans here go after you with pitchforks (or nunchucks). Perhaps we should start another thread for Japanese stuff. 😉

somehow i doubt it but there will be a third i bet (which i guess technically will be the fourth) but only if season 2/3 (either one) does really well! XD
I think when people ask if there will be a fourth season they mean will there be four series, even though a ‘fourth season’ would really be the third season. Maybe not, but I think there will be four series and three seasons. Possibly a concluding sereis but I doubt it.

You know what I find funny? No Season 3 trailers (not even a teaser D:). None. You remember how early Lego released the posters REAL early for Season 2 (Rise of the Snakes) WAAAYY back in May-June 2011 (or maybe they were just leaked)? I’m surprised that they haven’t released a little zoom-in poster with the pirates just like they did with the snakes last year. Honestly, even though Rise of the Snakes merchandise is still in the making and being sold, I thought Lego would at least gave us a little teaser by now. I mean, just days before the premiere of season 2, the last set of season one was just released into stores!
Anonymous, I think the Season 2 images and info released last year was leaked. But leaked or not, you are right; last year it was much earlier. Maybe LEGO is guarding the Ninjago info better this year. 😉

Joseph, there has been many indication that he is going to be a teen like the other ninja. Of course still younger, but the same hight – meaning; a regular minifig. 😉
