LEGO Lord of the Rings website new features!

(Written by Noah – nace10)

If you are a fan of Lord of the Rings, you may be pleasantly surprised that LEGO has updated their Lord of the Rings website with a whole bunch of new features and additions! Check them out below! 🙂

When you go to the LEGO Lord of the Rings website, you will see a map with all of the LEGO Lord of the Rings sets (you can click on any of the pictures to get there). You will be able to select each of the sets on the map to pull up additional information.

You can see cool animated clips, interviews with the designers, a list of the LEGO Lord of the Rings minifigures with their bios, and also a description of what each of the sets are about. Not all of the Lord of the Rings sets have all of these features, but each of them have something interesting.

If you click on the Products tab on top of the page, you will be able to see more images of each of the LEGO Lord of the Rings sets, many of them different than what is on the LEGO Shop website.

Under the Videos tab you will find the LEGO Lord of the Rings TV commertial along with interviews with the designers (same as under the set infos available on the homepage).

And under the Video Game tab there is an introductory video to the upcoming LEGO Lord of the Rings video game. I’m pretty excited for the video game, and I think for the scenes they are using the Lord of the Rings actors’ voices from the movies!

Here are also some pictures of the LEGO Lord of the Rings minifigures for your enjoyment. Aren’t they awesome? 😛

So there, you have it; all the latest on LEGO Lord of the Rings! I would recommend you go to the LEGO Lord of the Rings website to check out all the new features!  You may also want to head over to the LEGO Lord of the Rings section here at TBB for more news, videos and discussions. And if you like, you can buy any of the new sets at the Online LEGO Shop.

Also, this is my first article here, and I’m a KFOL (Kid-Fan-of-LEGO) not yet a TFOL (Teen-Fan-of-LEGO). Let me know how you liked my post! I would also love to hear what you think of the new LEGO Lord of the Rings sets. Which is your favorite character? How do you like the new website? Share your thoughts and comments below! 😉

Well, I’m not a fan of LOTR, but some of the sets are pretty cool – although I’m not going to get any. Are you sure about it being bigger than any other section of the Lego website? It is pretty big though. My favorite two characters are probably the ones right next to the elves – though on different sides (not the dwarf or the long-haird fellow w/o a cape).

No, what I meant was that it was the biggest update on the LEGO LOTR website. Admin had to make my post longer, so when she did it said that. I guess I did not make that clear very well.
(PS: Thank you Admin for sprucing up my post!!!) 😀

    • admin June 4, 2012, 12:18 PM

Nace, sorry about that! I misunderstood that sentence in your post. My fault. I just updated it to reflect what you meant. 😳

BTW, you are an excellent writer (especially for your age), your post was very nicely written and the pictures were great. You are welcome to write any time! 😉

Wait a minute; aren’t you supposed to out of town? 🙄

  • Tydroid Ninja of NINJAGONESS June 4, 2012, 1:20 PM

My favorite part in the video game trailer was when gandalf said YOU SHALL NOT PASS! Its also my favorite part in the movie 😛

    • admin June 4, 2012, 1:46 PM

Yeah, I like that part too. Up to that point… the scene after that is one of the most heartbreaking in the whole movie though. 😥

      • nace10 June 5, 2012, 10:14 AM

Anyone read the actual LOTR triology? I have.

    • admin June 4, 2012, 10:32 PM

Xi, yep, I have read it too! It is one of my favorite book series! I read it in school, under my desk. I just couldn’t put it down! 😉

      • Gabriel June 4, 2012, 11:58 PM

That’s awesome! I read the series on my honeymoon. We had TONS of waiting at the airport because we missed BOTH of our connecting flights. Which meant I got to fit a lot of reading in. I’m currently reading The Hobbit in a hurry before the movie comes out later this year. All great books!

        • nace10 June 5, 2012, 10:41 AM

I want to see it badly!!!!!
( My Mother LOVES The Hobbit!!!)

  • Xi ninja June 4, 2012, 10:48 PM

Wouldn’t it be kind of cool if there was lego version of the hunger games? 😉

    • admin June 4, 2012, 10:51 PM

Oh, my! That would be SO AWESOME!!! 😀

      • NRG PYTHOR [ Fine, im pythors ghost... but NRG!] June 5, 2012, 12:31 AM

I cant wait for the lord of the rings video game! Ive watched all the movies so i want to see how it is!

        • NRG PYTHOR [ Fine, im pythors ghost... but NRG!] June 5, 2012, 12:33 AM

My fav caracter is smeagal [ gollum]. He has a very sad story 😥 🙂

          • NRG Jay June 5, 2012, 5:13 AM

Has anyone here read Septimus Heap? I think its amazing! It would be great if it was in LEGO, and especially if they made a video game for it!

          • admin June 5, 2012, 8:49 AM

Indeed… he is one of the most developed characters both in the books and in the movie. 🙁

            • nace10 June 5, 2012, 10:19 AM

Gollum is a creep in my opinion. 👿

              • admin June 5, 2012, 11:10 AM

Yes, he did turn into a creep. But that’s the sad part. He used to be a normal hobbit. 🙁

                • nace10 June 5, 2012, 11:46 AM

He was preaty cruel to Deagull.
Guess Smeagull was weak to the Rings power. 🙁

                  • admin June 5, 2012, 1:18 PM

Yeah, that’s true. A sad hobbit indeed. 🙁

        • legolotr June 9, 2012, 10:13 PM

Gollum (Smeagull) Does have a sad story. Right indeed 🙁

But on the bright side the ring was destroyed and no one can have a sad story like gollum and like happy lives 😀

  • Tydroid Ninja of NINJAGONESS June 5, 2012, 6:49 PM

  • nace10 June 6, 2012, 11:00 AM

Hey Admin, have any LOTR sets yet??? 😎

    • admin June 6, 2012, 11:41 AM

Nace, not yet, but I’m planning to get them. I have to go over to a sporting-goods store today to get some new kneepads (I always bang up my knees at martial-arts class!), and there is a Toys’R’Us just accross the street. So I will stop by there to see them. 😉

    • NRGkai June 7, 2012, 11:33 AM

      i have 9471 Uruk-hai Army

  • nace10 June 6, 2012, 8:24 PM

Here’s someting funny from the LOTR message boards!!!

1,000 Things Not To Do If Gollum Knocks On Your Door
    1. Invite Faramir and his Rangers over.
    2. Invite Sam.
    3. Unlock the door.
    4. Ask him if he’d like to buy jewelry.
    5. Not tell your parents to hide their wedding rings temporarily
    6. Not kill all house spiders.
    7. Take him fishing.
    8. Make him potato soup. (Whats taters, Precious?)
    9. Show off your new “Real Elvish Rope”.
    10. Watch a Split-Personality Disorder documentary.
    11. Challenge him to a riddle game.

There were four more but they wernt very good so I left them out.
    (They were written by Whoop60.)

    • admin June 6, 2012, 8:54 PM

LOL! Those are pretty funny! But that’s only 15! Where is the remaining 985? 😆

      • nace10 June 6, 2012, 9:30 PM

        There’s more… But probobly not 985!!!

Q: Why does Gandalf make a bad teacher???
        A. Because at the beginning of the year, he tells the students, “You Shall Not Pass!!!”
        ( U.S.AGuy wrought that.)

        • admin June 7, 2012, 8:58 AM

LOL! That’s probably the funniest! 😀

  • lego old republic June 9, 2012, 9:54 PM
