Of course you know that LEGO can be stacked to build whatever you can imagine. But have you thought of wearing LEGO as jewelry and other fashion items? Now, don’t shake your head, there is actually a lot of it out there and quite amazing ones too! Today I thought to show you some of my favorite LEGO jewelry that might give you some inspiration too! 😛
As far as LEGO jewelry goes, there is a whole variety; from cufflinks to earrings to bracelets – LEGO fans have thought of it all! Some of them are made by artsy-crafsty people just for their own personal use, but a lot of LEGO jewelry is also available online, especially on Etsy (which is basically like eBay, but everything listed has to be hand-made) and eBay itself.
Most of the LEGO jewelry items are simple; letting the LEGO elements speak for themselves with their vibrant colors and interesting shapes. However some LEGO jewelry and other fashion items are actually quite complex and refined, bringing LEGO to the level of true fashion-art and mainstream design. My favorite LEGO jewelry pieces, are these LEGO Star Wars cufflinks by Crimson King (they do carry a lot more LEGO jewelry). Way to be cool and also promote The Force! 😀
And then, there’s also the more plentiful, and prettier for that matter; lady’s LEGO bling. This is how I think these are made: just a bunch of LEGO bricks and determination. Because if you look at these pictures, you see that these are some crazy insane LEGO necklaces! I wonder what those things feel like when you wear them. 🙄
If you are not up to wearing fancy and complex necklaces like the ones above, there are plenty of simple LEGO jewelry designs for everyday use; like necklaces with crosses, and hearts made with just one or two LEGO pieces. The point is that whether you like your jewelry snazzy or simple, there’s a LEGO necklace for you!
There are also some really cute LEGO earrings. From dangles to studs to… lightsabers. I have only seen the lightsaber earrings in red though. I guess you have to join the Dark Side to wear these!
As we continue looking at various LEGO accessories, the next category would be bracelets. There are some really cool, gem-studded LEGO bracelets, also wide ones, small ones, shiny ones and many others to keep your jewelry options open.
Oh and don’t forget LEGO rings! I’ve seen a great variety of these; from just slapping a minifig onto a ring to layering LEGO plates, to these amazing interlocking wedding-rings by Rubygirl.
As you can see there are quite a few LEGO jewelry options in every accessory category. You can buy them from talented LEGO artists, or if you are especially artsy, here’s a video on how to make your own LEGO earrings out of LEGO studs! It only takes 10 minutes or less. All you need is two LEGO studs, two earring-posts and backs (you can buy these at the craft stores), Superglue and a pair of wire-cutters. These geek-chic earrings are the perfect accessory for work, date, or a night out with the girls. 🙂
So what do you think of the LEGO jewelry featured here? Which one is your favorite? Are you going to try to make your own bricktastic bling after reading this? I hope you do! Share your thoughts and ideas below! 😉
Thanks for reading! I’m a KFOL (Kid-Fan-of-LEGO) and this is my first post at theBrickBlogger. I mostly hang out at the Ninjago section, but as you can see I have other LEGO interests as well. Hope you enjoyed this post! Also, you may like the following articles with more fun and unusual LEGO ideas:

I bet this only attracts girls 😆 😀
Well, I am a girl so it seemed good to me. 😀
Those hearts aer pretty clever (though I think I could only make a black one. . . 😛 ), I once made a necklace – one of those heart pieces (yellow), some string – and a trans-orange spider. . . 😆
That’s pretty cool. 😀 I need to order some Pick-A-Brick studs for some earrings. 🙂
Those heart necklaces look really cute! I’ll have to try to make one!
Woah!! This is pretty cool. I would maybe wear these. 😆
