Some interesting LEGO listings appeared on eBay yesterday from eBay seller BlockPartyBricks. They have several not-yet-released minifigs from the LEGO Legends of Chima, LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and LEGO The Hobbit themes. The pictures are clear, crisp and give a great view of the minifigures, so have fun feasting your eyes! 😛
I will also include the direct eBay links in case you want to snatch up these minifigs early. Some of them are listed as an auction, so you may luck out and get a great deal, and some are listed with a fixed price. If you have the money, you could be the first on the block to own these little guys.
➡ LEGO Legends of Chima Minifigure: I believe this minifigure supposed to be a raven or crow. The helmet is especially beautiful with red and silver highlights. The head and torso are both printed at the front and back, and the legs are printed as well. The wings are beautiful, although I’m a bit disappointed with how they attach to the minifigure. I wish they were closer and more flush with the body, like the mummy wings from the LEGO Pharaoh’s Quest line, but I guess the brick-built attachment gives more options. (Click image for larger view.) – EBAY LISTING HERE
➡ LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Minifigure: Michelangelo is the only turtle the seller listed at the time of writing this post. Perhaps since then they have listed more. I really like this minifig and will definitely get all the turtles. I believe the turtles are only printed at the front of their torsos. The turtle-shell is really nice! – EBAY LISTING HERE
➡ LEGO The Hobbit Elven Minifigures: so far the seller listed two elves from the new LEGO The Hobbit sets. To me they both look female judging from the facial features, but it is also possible the heads got mixed up. Both have dual-printed heads with different facial features, as well as torsos printed both front and back, and printed legs. EBAY LISTING HERE
➡ LEGO Batman Commissioner Gordon: this is another minifigure the seller had listed from a set not yet released. Both the torso and head have front and back printing. And that S.W.A.T. printed torso is going to very useful! (Click image for larger view.) EBAY LISTING HERE
Aren’t they great? What do you think? How do you like the new minifigs? Which is your favorite? You might also want to check out BlockPartyBricks for more listings as it seems they sell LEGO regularly. Are you planning to bid on any of them? Share your thoughts below! 🙂
i think the wings are meant to be quite futuristic looking at the armour piece because hopefully this will be a more futuristic theme unlike ninjago and pharoahs quest
How are they selling them if they “are not yet released”?
Karen, my understanding is that these are minifigures from the quality testing phase. 🙂

what do i do if i want to make a post?
Get in touch with me by email. 😉
(smacks self in face) you just made a post, you numbskull
Knowing how LEGO protects their markets and brand imaging, I am absolutely flabbergasted that these can be in the market before release…I don’t believe for a second that LEGO is approving the sale of anything from their “test runs” and while I like to keep up on everything LEGO, I don’t really like (out of principal) the free advertising you are giving this seller! Just my two cents worth.
Karen, I appreciate your points and concern. Thank you for sharing. Please note that images of almost all of next years LEGO sets have been released already (including Legends of Chima, The Hobbit, Ninjago, City, Star Wars, etc.). In addition some of the sets are already available on some markets. The Hobbit sets have been reported to be popping up both at retail stores and online, even though the official release is not until December. This is a very common occurrence.
I certainly wouldn’t want to be promoting something illegal, but in case of this seller I haven’t seen anything wrong. Their reputation is excellent with thousands of feedbacks and they sell LEGO regularly. These minfigs could have been test-runs, but there are other ways for a large reseller to aquire stock as well. And it doesn’t have to be illegal. Although it certainly could be. Like with any products. 😉
Again; I don’t know this seller personally. I really liked his pictures so I thought to share. I did check his feedback and his history. I saw nothing wrong there. Since they are a large reseller I don’t see a reason why would they risk their entire business to make a few bucks on these minifigs.
If you are still concerned with their listings I would suggest you contact them personally. They might share with you where their stock comes from, although knowing other large resellers I know that they usually keep that a closely guarded secret. For obvious reasons. But the ones who did talk had perfectly legitimate sources. So yeah, it is not impossible to have stock before the actual release date. 🙂
They stole them from the LEGO factory. Nah, just kidding, I don’t know.
That is cool
While these figures do look awesome, people are absolutely nuts for paying a premium for them now. You’ll get them for a fraction of the price once they hit the shelves.
Yeah, I agree. I’m also planning ot wait, but there are people who, for their own reasons, want to be the first to have them. It is a good thing that we have choices. 😉
I really want the Chima figs (and the Hobbit ones for that matter) however I was not happy with the quality of the printing on these when I looked at them closely. The bird character has very fuzzy printing on the lower torso and legs… now this may be part of the design, however it looks more like figs that would fail quality testing to me.
Hey, Jashbrick, nice to have you here! 😀
My understanding is that the minifigs selling on eBay are quality tests and rejects, and that is why the printing is not perfect. 😉
Hi… If that is the case then it should be stated in the ebay listing, I am not impressed by what I consider to be sub-standard pieces being sold at a premium price.
Jasbrick, I don’t think the minifigs are sub-standard. It is my understanding that they are test-runs (as that would be the only way the seller could get them), but it is not something the seller told me directly. Personally I don’t see anything wrong with them. The print looks beautiful to me. I have seen plenty of print variations (fuzzy, thicker or thinner lines, misaligned printing, etc.) on minifigures in sets for retail. I know you always go for perfection in your customs but with machine printing it is unavoidable to have slight variations. If the price was not so high right now I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these little guys. 😉
Disappointed that it looks like you need that armor piece to attach the wings to the body. Was hoping that they would have a new clip piece that could fit over the minifigure’s neck. The closeness to the body isn’t the issue, it just I don’t want winged creations to be stuck with that armor piece. Other than that, the figure is sufficiently terrifying. Would have preferred if the blue circle was not printed on the chest as well, but there’s little that can be done about that.
Jacob, yeah, that wing-piece is “almost” a hit. I’m hoping that perhaps LEGO will release some kind of a neck-bracket so the armor is not needed. In the Arkham Asylum set the black angels do not have an armor piece, so I’m not sure how the wings are attached there. A neck bracket? Or the wings are attached to the wall, instead of the minifig? 😕
If you use the piece that has only one stud on the back on a minifig, and then stick a T piece (like on the Ninjago Nunchucks of Lightning) with a clip, you could probably attach the wings that way. They might not look quite the same, but at least you wouldn’t have armor on front. 😉
I really like that the Chima fig has a double sided head, hopefully they all do! My guess is the fuzzyness of the printing is just because these are not the final minifigs, although if that’s the case it really would be insane to get it now!
To be honest I think we are being way too picky. Remember that the minifigs are so much smaller than on the pictures. I bet if we would be looking at them normal size we wouldn’t notice a thing. 🙄
Yeah, actually, I didn’t even notice on the pictures. . . 😛
Is Elven’s face right or not because it looks wrong and female like or is it just some beta or test face print before actual release of minifigure?
I think it is a mix-up as it is the same as the other one. 🙄
I dont really like what “Legend of Chima” Is coming out to be,but who knows. I at first thought Ninjago was weird…
I havent been posting much…
The Legend Of Chima ones are going for ONE CENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
99 cents i meant.
Noah, the minifig is not going for 99 cents. That’s where the bidding starts. Looking at the previous auctions they go up to about $20-$25. Of course you can always luck out and end up winning an auction for less. It has happened to me in the past. 🙄
Has any one seen the awesome pictures of the 2013 star wars sets on brick set? It looks like they are doing a make-over of the phase I clone minifigure!
yeah the sw clones are cool
Cool, I like it ! 🙂 Sweet
the legend of chima character looks soo cool
admin, could you tell Lego to make Lego, lego hunger games, coz’ im a fan of hunger games and lego
I sure can, but it would be doubtful LEGO fould ever make Hunger Games. It is too violent and it is not for their target audience. I also love Hunger Games though. You can alway build scenes from it yourself. 😉
Loyd, it is very unlikely. Hunger games is not a kids’ show, nor does it really lend itself to be LEGO-ized. I would also love to see the characters though, but you can always customize them yourself! 😉
Lego already makes Lego. Anyway, I wonder what that would be like (Lego HG)
Wow, that looks interesting!
