LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game

Marvel super heroes are assembling for an action-packed, brick-smashing good time! Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group and Marvel Entertainment announced today that “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” will be available beginning Fall 2013 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, the Wii U system and Windows PC, as well as the Nintendo DS handheld system, Nintendo 3DS handheld system and PlayStation Vita handheld entertainment system. “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” is the first installment in the highly successful LEGO videogame franchise to feature famous Marvel characters.

“LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” complements the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes construction toy collection, which brings the characters, vehicles and action of Marvel’s renowned universe to the world of LEGO build-and-play adventure. There are currently eight iconic scenes from the X-Men, Iron Man and Spider-Man franchises available and more construction sets tied to the new “Iron Man 3″ feature film will launch later this spring.

“LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” offers an original storyline in which Nick Fury calls upon Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and other heroes spanning the Marvel Universe to save Earth from such threats as the vengeance of Loki and the hunger of Galactus, Devourer of the Worlds. LEGO and Marvel fans will enjoy classic LEGO videogame adventure and humor, while playing as their favorite Marvel characters.

“We’re very excited to bring a myriad of classic Marvel characters to life in LEGO form for some fun, family-friendly gameplay in ‘LEGO Marvel Super Heroes’”, said Tom Stone, Managing Director, TT Games Publishing. “Players will brave the ultimate mission to save the world as they explore famous landmarks in LEGO New York and take the adventure beyond Earth to iconic locations in the Marvel Universe.”

Yes,Yes, and YES I want the LEGO marvel video game. I mean why not , because every other LEGO sets have become vidoe games and marvel will be perfect. We also have DC. So, we get the best of both worlds.

What!!! Soooo unfair, i want this game, but it doesnt look like its available for wii. Thats poor designing….

    • Zubashi January 11, 2013, 1:05 PM

No it’s not. The Wii has evolved into the Wii U. It will only make sense for a NEW game to be on a NEW console.

      • Ahsoka Tano January 11, 2013, 5:07 PM

Wait, it’s for Wii U, not the Wii????

        *silently crying*

        • Zubashi January 11, 2013, 5:27 PM

          What do you expect?

That’s how I felt UNTIL I found out it wasn’t coming out for Wii. 🙁 Its the only gaming system we have. 🙁 🙁

      • Ahsoka Tano January 11, 2013, 5:07 PM

        Same here. 🙁

          • obi-wanfan2282 January 12, 2013, 11:24 AM

We have PCs, but none of them could run a video game…. 🙁 ..

          Me too…

I’m honestly not surprised that this is happening. I mean LEGO fans have been asking for one of these for a long time. Also, I know this is off topic, but there is appearently going to be another tribe in the world of chima! It’s a skunk tribe! Check this out:

    • Strider January 11, 2013, 5:39 PM

      Nice! Thanks for sharing.

    • admin January 11, 2013, 8:01 PM

Yeah, I read about the skunk too. I was reading though that the skunk is just going to be one character, not a whole tribe. But we should probably discuss that in the Chima section. 😉

I would love to see if they could work out something similar to the DC vs. Marvel Comics that were made in 1996 for a future LEGO game. The one thing I will be slightly disappointed in (if the other TT games are any indication) is we will see many figures that look great that LEGO may never release in a publicly available form. However, I still would rather have only Digital versions if LEGO is not going to make it available to everyone. If they make another critical DC/ Marvel character only available to a few people at one specific event again, I feel slightly obligated to say that LEGO has an aversion to making money and satisfying customers.

  • Strider January 11, 2013, 5:41 PM

Like I have said previously I am not really into gaming. But this looks kind of fun. Not that I have anything against people who like them their just not really my thing.

I’m not an avid gamer myself, but I think I might rather have it be more realistic, unless it was something like star wars… I like LEGO star wars 🙂

  • ntk743 January 15, 2013, 4:33 PM

Is that a quote? This I mean: Marvel super heroes are assembling for an action-packed, brick-smashing…

    • NRG Pythor January 16, 2013, 12:45 AM

A quote is anything from a article or something a person says. So yes, that is a quote.
