If you like to equip your LEGO minifigs with realistic modern weapons you will be quite disappointed with LEGO’s own selection; a couple of generic shotguns and handguns are your only choices. This is understandable as LEGO is opposed to realistic violence. đ
However if you want more, fortunately there are other options; several LEGO customizers focus on realistic modern weaponry for your minifigs. Most well known are BrickArms and Sidan Toys – both carrying an amazing range of modern weapons and other military accessories in very high quality.
There are also a couple of customizers who recently came on the minifig customization scene; today I will introduce you the LEGO custom weapons selection of Brick Warfare, a new USA based customizer.
SELECTION: First of all I would like to mention that that Brick Warfare’s only focus is modern weaponry. You will not find swords and spears for your historic LEGO minifigs (you can check out BrickForge for those). As far as modern weapons and accessories, the selection of Brick Warfare is huge! There are at least 60 different LEGO weapons and accessories; ranging from handguns, assault-riffles and missile-launchers, to small accessories like scopes, grenades and attachment-clips.
QUALITY: The quality of the Brick Warfare LEGO customs is excellent. If you are familiar with BrickArms products, they are comparable in every way. Brick Warfare also uses the same ABS plastic as LEGO, so the weapons are quite durable.
DETAIL: Brick Warfare’s products are very detailed to resemble real guns. There are also attachments like scopes and ammo-clips you can add to enhance their realism and functionality. I think anyone who is into realistic LEGO guns would be quite pleased, but I would not recommend most of these products for a small child who likely won’t appreciate the details and would easily loose the small pieces and attachments.
COLORS: Most of the products are available in black and light-gray. I also have some camo-printed guns from Brick Warfare that are super nice, but I believe these are limited to a few products only, or perhaps special events.
PRICES: Prices range between 50 cents to a couple of dollars – in line with other LEGO customizers, and very reasonable in my opinion. There are also various Weapon Packs if you want to equip a whole platoon with the greatest range of weapons.
In summary I would say I highly recommend Brick Warfare’s custom LEGO weapons and accessories, especially for those who appreciate detail and realism. You can check out their website at BrickWarfare.com if you would like to learn more about them.
And if you already own Brick Warfare’s products and would like to share your own review and thoughts, please post them in the comment section below. I’m sure our readers would appreciate it! đ
Cool! Very detailed pieces! And just 50 cents for some pieces? Nice!
they have a BAN HAMMER!!!
I’m not into all these weapons… probably because I do historic themes. But I do respect them for making these for the AFOL that collect and customize modern warfare themes.
BTW thanks for the pics of the summer sets, Micho!
Yea thanks Micho! I really like the summer sets for Castle!
CASTLE IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!! thanks for all the pics!
You’re all very welcome, I’m glad you guys are as excited as I am for the summer wave
i am a huge fan of this kinda stuff. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 50 cents? no way! nothings 50 cents anymore!
i don’t use guns. i prefer to give my minifigure a sword
So do I Ninjoey. In my creations I rarely use guns. The only time I would actually use a gun for my mini figures is when I get Lego Star Wars sets, and I barely use that. After that shooting at Sandy Hook I don’t even want to think about guns. đ„
whatever the word is for someone who’s anti-gun, i’m one of them
Umm, an anti- gunist?
maybe!
So, you would say your a anti-gunnist.
sort of… i’m ok with them in movies and stuff… but the twisted things people use guns for… it always depresses me. đ
Not really much of a reason to be against the gun, more like against whatever it is that’s motivating the people. đ
yeah, i guess so.
but at the same time, i think it’s too easy to pull a triger without thinking about what you’re doing. i think when you have a sword, you think more about what you’re doing than with a gun…
Yeah, it would probably be hard to accidentally kill someone with a sword. But with guns it happens all the time. đ
Ditto, Gid617. I’m not against guns. it’s not like taking them away will keep people from killing each other. People have done it for thousands of years, so what’s gonna keep people from killing each other if you take away something that was invented just a few centuries ago?
Yeah, that’s more or less my view of it, after all a gun is just a tool, like any other thing it can be used in good and bad ways.
Ditto!!!
i thaught you’d say that!
LOL
Btw Micho was saying ditto to ninjoey’s comment, “but at the same time, i think itâs too easy to pull a triger without thinking about what youâre doing. i think when you have a sword, you think more about what youâre doing than with a gun⊔, not mine or gid617’s.
Are they from USA?
I think so.
Sorry, I’m a LEGO purist–if it’s not made by LEGO, I’m not interested!
Same here! But I still hold high respect for them though.
They look great!
A I’m currently writing a script to a LEGO movie, these would be brilliant, the problem is they don’t ship overseas, so for the moment I have to either try and find a website that stocks and sell them over here, or still use Brickarms
There should be ways of finding an American supplier privately…
Send us an address and we can ship it to you overseas!!! No problem:)
Ooh thanks, looks like I’ll start shopping with you then đ
Very cool, but the guns legl has is good enough for me. I can see how other people might want more detailed but I don really mind.
It’s happened! The spelling fever, nooo…
Weapons from modernbrickwarfare.com are the best to me.The best part about them is they sell them at some brickfairs
Brick Warfare will be at a handful of shows this year starting with Brick world Indy next month!
If it’s not LEGO, I don’t want it. There is a reason why LEGO didn’t make weapons like that and I am 100% behind it .
they are interesting, but some of the parts look like copies of Brickarms. I like the pricing, but I think I’ll stay with Brickarms.
I might want to get my figs some of these to keep themselves safe. However, it seems it would take me forever to chose one!
anti-gunnerist?(that souds right đ
i am with the book lady and fikko.
(i found fido!)
Grreat!
Now I can make Lego TF2!
Hehe, naw, I don’t think I would.
These are very interesting, but I wont be buying any because I got alot of brickarms and brickforge.
I really like the Bipod i’ll get some eventually i would stick them on the star wars blaster rifle my fav lego gun ever!
