LEGO Winter Village Market available now!

LEGO has started a Christmas tradition a few years back of releasing a highly detailed Winter Village set for each holiday season. In 2009 we got the #10199 LEGO Winter Toy Shop, in 2010 the #10216 LEGO Winter Village Bakery, in 2011 the #10222 LEGO Winter Village Post Office, and in 2012 the #10229 LEGO Winter Village Cottage. This year we get another beautiful set in the series, the #10235 LEGO Winter Village Market. 🙂

Although it is a bit early to talk about Christmas, the LEGO Winter Village Market is currently available for LEGO VIP members (make sure you join, it is free, and you get perks like this) before the official release of October 1st. It’s not always necessary to be the first kid on the block to have a particular LEGO set, but with limited release exclusives like the Winter Village Series and other seasonal sets it is a good idea to get them early, as they tend to disappear fast and you may not have the chance to get them before Christmas. 😕

  • Carbo September 22, 2013, 1:44 PM

Sorry to get off topic, but the scorpion tribe from Chima looks awesome! 😀

    • admin September 22, 2013, 3:51 PM

Yes, they do look awesome! How about the spiders? Do you like those?

      • benny September 23, 2013, 2:08 AM

as soon as I saw that comment I was on Google more or less a second after. LOL here is a calculation about shadow wind: scorpion head+ normal body = shadow wind

Nice post! In fact I was working on a post for this set too! 😆 It was extremely similar! This might be my favorite set yet of the series. Admin, I’m planning on doing a post on the new Hobbit sets. Still waiting for some pics to come out.

    • admin September 22, 2013, 3:52 PM

      Yeah, I’m waiting too! 😀

I’m only getting this for the carousel, so I can add it to my zoo. I LOVE IT!

    • admin September 22, 2013, 3:50 PM

To your zoo???!!! That’s awesome! And fun! 😀

      • Meneldur son of Garamar September 23, 2013, 9:04 AM

Yeah, that is awesome. I think LEGO should start a City Zoo series. That might be interesting! I once tried to build Noah’s Ark (Sorry Nace! Not your Ark.). Does that count as a zoo?

        • admin September 23, 2013, 9:51 AM

Yeah, Noah’s Ark is pretty much like a zoo! A really big one! 😀

    • Ike September 26, 2013, 5:12 PM

my little brother has a large Lego zoo in our basement that he has been working on for years. he has almost 50 animals!

  • Carbo September 22, 2013, 6:15 PM

Sorry I didn’t reply sooner; I didn’t have time. I do like the spiders, they certainly look spider-like. I probably won’t be on again tonight, so no more questions, please. I might, though.

  • Guy Durand September 22, 2013, 6:43 PM

Definitely I will get it. I have all the other ones and they are amazing. I am trying to build a nice Christmas Scene but I am afraid my son will play with it too much and loose pieces. Haha

  • Ninja of the Northern Lights September 22, 2013, 10:26 PM

That set looks adorable! The minifigure’s and the accessories are both very detailed!

  • Darth Awesome September 23, 2013, 5:40 AM

Admin, it’s never too early to talk about Christmas and LEGO Sets!

    • admin September 23, 2013, 9:51 AM

Good to know! Don’t worry; we will be talking about Christmas lots of times between now and… well… Christmas!

  • Strider September 23, 2013, 12:27 PM

Is it just me or does that look like less then over a thousand and two hundred pieces? It definetly matches up to the previous installments in both quality and design wise though. My next set will be mindstorms ev3 however, I am glad the technology is improved, but it seems like it is trying a little to hard to be cool and it comes off as cheap.

    • admin September 23, 2013, 3:17 PM

The think about these highly detailed LEGO sets is that there are many small parts used for decorations, etc. So they do add up. Interesting what you say about the EV3 trying to be cool. Good observation! 🙂

  • Strider September 23, 2013, 12:28 PM

Sorry about going off topic. I cannot get my mind off mindstorms :p.

    • admin September 23, 2013, 3:18 PM

Why don’t you go over the Mindstorms post I just published today? 😉

  • Xi ninja September 25, 2013, 6:33 PM

    I want it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
