Although I didn’t think it looked very cool from the last post, after looking at these pictures, I actually like it now.
Yeah, the official picrures and especially the video demonstrates is really well how huge this thing is. I think it is so much better than the original. Really like the studs-out look! ๐
I agree with you Noah, at first it was “nah,” now its “ah ha! cool!” ๐
This set==Awesome!! I had just read Brickset’s article about this before I came here. I’m so glad it comes with all those minifigs! I like all the droids and Owen Lars, but Luke – why did they have to put facial lines on him? It seems like they did that to all SW figures this year. ๐
This won’t replace the Republic Gunship, but I think it’s saving-up time! ๐
yeah, they made Luke look old, I liked the one from the millennium falcon or the one from the X-wing, but now he looks old., and that goes with Han Solo too, they just look really old. ๐
Yeah, and it will be like all the minifigs this year. I checked the picture for the Cantina this summer, and they have the same faces.
And they’re bound to look older when SW Ep. 7 sets come out, the actors are actually older ๐ ๐
This looks awesome. However I have a “no star wars lego” rule as I’m a medieval and micro scale man. First star wars set apart from the UCS imperial shuttle that I’ve wanted though which says much…
Well some Star Wars sets have good pieces for medieval (robes and such) but for the most part I can see why you’d say no.
Agree absolutely but I cant justify almost 200 quid for what wpuld essentially end up as a rather large parts pack ๐ if I ever have the spare cash though it would be very tempting.
I’ve picked up a few star wars minifigues in the past to use as monks and the like but they were few and far between.
Looks awesome! I hope it’s built better than the old Clone Turbo Tank (similar techniques on the side, it would seem). I think it should have come with Obi-wan and maybe a Tusken Raider for when they come back to the Sandcrawler.
Still a very nice looking set. If I had enough money for this and all the other sets I want, I would definitely buy it.
Yes! The Clone Turbo Tank’s sides fall off all the time! It drives me crazy! ๐ฎ
I think your idea of it having Obi-Wan and a Tusken Raider is a good idea. It would be nice if one of the sides of the crawler was all burnt and dented. Maybe it should come with Luke’s speeder too.
I love the rusty-beaten up look up the sides, makes it more like the one in the movie =D
Well… I am content. I don’t need this. I have the death star so I am fine… BUT THAT LOOKS SO AWESOME!… ๐
My friend has it too. I’ve tried to buy it tons Of times.
YOU HAVE THE DEATH STAR!?!?!?!? dude, that’s awesome.
I would buy this set but I’m really saving up for the R2-D2.
Cool set indeed, but I still have to decide if it will worth some place on my collection room, 10221 to arrive in the following days, and lack of space its becoming a huge issue.
Yeah, space is really the biggest problem with LEGO. Even beyond money. For the large sets to look good they need the proper display-space. I don’t like cluttered LEGO rooms. Fortunately LEGO fans tend to be really smart people, so hopefully they will have the money for setting up a proper LEGO room in their house. And of course they also have to marry the right person who will agree to that! ๐
I can’t afford to keep sets together, considering both my mental sanity and lack of parts to make…, well, basically I can make a lot but the more sets I get the bigger the things I make are :P. And I’m planning on leading a nice little life as a bachelor with my brick films and my writing :D.
Yeah, I know how what you mean by the lack of parts. There is always something more needed to finish off a project.
I went to the Brick Cascade expo today in portland and a Lego representative had the model on display! It is definitely as cool as it looks, and very functional as well!
Oh, nice! Great that you had a chance to see it in person! ๐
I just want the Jawas but nothing more from this set. Just for the Jawas it’s too expensive :/
I’m sure you will be able to get the Jawas on the secondary market. They are indeed cute little buggers. ๐
I had the same idea but they will likely be expensive. In the uk its hard to get them for less than 15 quid each so about $22ish.
Just saw this at Brick Cascade. It is awesome!
Oh, yeah, I forgot to say that the back is big enough to motorize it!
Nice! :). But it’s so big that I imagine more then a few motors would be needed. (Even if it was just going as slowly as it does in the movie.)
