LEGO Hero Factory: Invasion from Below

(Written by ninja5)

As you probably know already, this year LEGO introduced a new theme to Hero Factory titled Invasion from Below. Just like in previous LEGO Hero Factory themes, the story is centered around a group of robotic heroes, who protect the galaxy from various threats – this time fierce monsters from underground. One major difference though is that this time the heroes are not large Constraction Figures, but are minifig size and driving mechs. 🙂

LEGO Hero Factory Invasion from Below

The LEGO Hero Factory: Invasion from Below episode was originally posted on the LEGO Hero Factory website, but now that it is also available on YouTube, I thought to share it here so we can all watch and discuss. This time the story starts out in the city of Antropolis as a group of robot workers dig a subway tunnel. However the mining-drill disappears in an underground cavern and when the crew investigates, they vanish too. One of the workers calls Hero Factory, just as strange monsters start pouring out from the underground tunnel. See what happens next…

Interesting, isn’t it? Those mechs are awesome! To be honest though, I was a little disappointed with this episode as I was hoping it will be a continuation of the previously released LEGO Hero Factory: Brain Attack, with something like the brains that took refuge underground rising to fight again, but unfortunately it was a completely new plot. Also, the story ends on a cliff-hanger, so we’ll have to see what happens next. Or maybe the story writers will leave it up to LEGO fans to work out the plot…

This episode is great to show off how the new mechs function and their different features, and if you were wondering about the strange underground creatures that you see in the 2014 LEGO Hero Factory sets, you will learn about them too. If you are interested in the LEGO Hero Factory: Invasion from Below sets, they are available at the Online LEGO Shop. Also, there is a new LEGO Hero Factory: Invasion From Below game, which can be downloaded at the Apple app store, or it can be played online.

Yeah, thought it would help. We always want to make our articles such that it will be informational and helpful for people who are brand new to the subject, but still interesting enough for older fans. It’s not an easy balance to achieve, but we can at least try. 😛

Very cool. Has anyone else noticed how everyone appears to have new voice chips are something? This also vaguely reminds me of the Bohrok.

It made think they were older.

Well, from Brain Attack onwards, Hero Factory animations tend to lose continuity. It’s kind of sad, actually…

I think the little HF guys are pretty cute, though they’d probably look a bit strange next to the big ones! I’ve never been too interested in HF though, so I don’t think I’ll be getting any.

I wasn’t interested in Hero Factory until this year. Still, I only really want the Splitter Beast for the trans. orange chain and the Elemental Fire Blade that comes w/ Furno.
