A brand new series of LEGO sets released this month is LEGO Elves. This is the third line of LEGO sets including mini-dolls instead of regular LEGO minifigures besides LEGO Friends and LEGO Disney Princess. LEGO Elves takes mini-dolls into the fantasy realm with an interesting story-line and gorgeous sets that include really sweet characters, lots of new elements and rare colors. We have talked about LEGO Elves several times (see links at the end of this post), and today we will take a closer look at them through video-reviews. So let’s enter the magical world of the LEGO Elves! 🙂
➡ #41072 LEGO ELVES NAIDA’S SPA SECRET: Find the magical map and help the Elves on their epic adventure! Search for the magical map with Naida Riverheart, the Water Elf, at her dreamy day spa. The map will guide the Elves to the 4 special keys they need to help their friend Emily Jones return to the human world. But only the wise dolphin Delphia knows where the map is hidden – when will she reveal the secret of the spa? Naida has magical water powers and feels most at home when immersed in her luxurious spa bath playing with Delphia. Find Naida’s golden diary, and sit her on the day bed as she writes down all her thoughts and feelings. Create new recipes for beauty lotions and help her mix them in the crystal jars, then take a shower behind the beautiful waterfall. Includes Naida Riverheart mini-doll figure and Delphia the dolphin. 249 pieces. Price: $19.99 – BUY HERE
There are six sets in the LEGO Elves line, and this is one of the smaller ones. All of the LEGO Elves sets are characterized by a dreamy color-scheme of blues and purples. Even the leaves on the trees are pink, lavender and purple. I should also mention here that the artwork on the boxes is really beautiful. This is the first time I considered saving boxes on smaller sets. I really hope that at some point LEGO will release a full-size LEGO Elves poster. Besides the interesting colors, another main feature of the LEGO Elves sets is all the small accessories; jars, jewels, flowers etc. – several of them with printed designs that LEGO fans are always happy about. In the video-review below JANGBRiCKS will show you this set in detail.
➡ #41073 LEGO ELVES NAIDA’S EPIC ADVENTURE SHIP: Team up with the Water Elf and Wind Elf on an ocean adventure to find the water key! Set sail with Naida Riverheart and Aira Windwhistler on the Epic Adventure Ship! Help them find the magic water key they need to send Emily Jones home to the human world. Use the telescope to look below the crystal waters for the giant oyster shell where the key lays hidden, then help the Elves combine their magical water and wind powers to reach the bottom of the ocean and open the clam. Will they find what they are looking for? Then steer safely home with the ship’s wheel to make the sail turn, and if the wind calms down help Naida and Aira dip their feet in the water from the amazing clam shell seats. Make a delicious meal in the galley and sit them down on the cushions to enjoy it. Includes 2 mini-doll figures: Naida Riverheart and Aira Windwhistler. 312 pieces. Price: $29.99 – BUY HERE
This is one of my most favorite sets in the LEGO Elves line; just a beautiful little ship with really nice shaping. Again, there are lots of little accessories and two really sweet mini-dolls. I like the LEGO Friends and LEGO Disney Princess characters, but LEGO Elves takes the cuteness to a whole other level. The hair-pieces are very beautiful and will fit regular minifigures as well. The dresses have intricate gold and silver printings, and the mini-dolls have tattoos on their foreheads and arms. LEGO’s art department really pulled out all stops on these characters. The only thing I don’t like about this set is that the printing on the sail is one-sided. It would have been nice if both sides are printed. Other than this, it is a beautiful mid-size set. You can watch the video-review below for more details.
➡ #41074 LEGO ELVES AZARI AND THE MAGICAL BAKERY: Find the fire key with Azari and her fox at the Magical Bakery! Join Azari Firedancer, the Fire Elf, on her adventure through the forest to find the fire key at a very special bakery! Order some delicious baked goods for Azari and Flamy the fox while they figure out where the key is. Help the boy at the bakery roll out the dough to make bread and place it in the magical oven. As the bread passes through the oven it is baked by the lavafall! Azari works out that the key must be hidden beneath the lavafall – help her muster her magic fire powers to part the flow of lava so that Flamy can jump up and fetch the key. Now the Elves are a step closer to getting their friend Emily Jones home to the human world. Includes 2 mini-doll figures: Azari Firedancer and Johnny Baker, plus Flamy the fox. 324 pieces. Price: $29.99 – BUY HERE
This set looks brighter because of the more fiery colors of the lava-flow, complimented by the dark-pink roof. We also get that intricate new fence piece in gold, which should make LEGO Castle builders very happy. And the fox is very cute. All the animals in the LEGO Elves sets also have various tattoos and decorations, making them look more magical. In the video review below you can see all the little details of this lovely set.
➡ #41075 LEGO ELVES’ TREETOP HIDEAWAY: Go on a journey through the magical new universe of the LEGO Elves with Emily Jones! Enter the magical world of the LEGO Elves with Emily Jones. When wandering in her grandmother’s garden she suddenly finds herself transported through a magic portal to a Treetop Hideaway in a whole new universe. Explore the surroundings with Emily as she realizes that she’s no longer in the human world and meets Azari Firedancer and Farran Leafshade, the Fire and Earth Elves. Make Farran climb down the magic ladder and show her around his extraordinary home. Cook carrot soup over the fire for them to eat while Emily explains that she needs to get back home, and the Elves promise to help her. Send some food up to the treehouse in the magic bucket lift for Farran’s panther cub Enki before they all meet up with the Water and Wind Elves – Emily will need their help too! Includes 3 mini-doll figures: Emily Jones, Azari Firedancer and Farran Leafshade, plus Enki the panther cub. 505 pieces. Price: $49.99 – BUY HERE
This is the largest of the current wave of LEGO Elves sets and it is just gorgeous. Again, using a lot of the lavenders and purples which gives the set a dreamy appearance, highlighted even more with all the jewels and flowers. Here you also get more of the new curvy fence pieces – this time in sand-green. I also really like the mix of dark-red and reddish-brown for the tree trunks. In the little booklet that you get with LEGO Elves sets there is an expanded version of this set with the same tree-house built into a large tree. It looks absolutely beautiful and I’m seriously considering building it (see first picture of this article for the image I’m talking about). In the video-review below you can get a closer-view on how nice this set really is.
As you probably guessed by now, I’m in love with the LEGO Elves sets. They are simply magical, and can appeal to children and adults alike. I would really-really like to see a whole expanded LEGO Elves diorama, and I’m sure there will be LEGO fans who will be inspired to take up this task. Besides the LEGO Elves sets we talked about above, there are a couple of smaller ones as well that you might want to take a look at. Also LEGO is offering a laminated, double-sided, sturdy cardboard playmat with LEGO Elves scenery, that can work really well as a base for displaying all the LEGO Elves sets. You can find the playmat, along with all of the LEGO Elves sets under the LEGO Elves section of the Online LEGO Shop.
So what do you think? How do you like the LEGO Elves sets? Did you get any of them already? Or are you planning to? Which one is your favorite? And how do you like all the mini-dolls, animals and accessories? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I probably won’t get any of these, but if I got one, it would be Naida’s Epic Adventure Ship. It looks nice and comes with some good pieces. I really like the way they included the turn-the-sail function.
Yes, the ship is really nice. 🙂
Makes me want fantasy themed castle sets again…
I have seen some people replacing the mini-dolls with minifigs for these sets. The hair pieces fit regular minifigs, so it’s an easy conversion. 😉
The main complaints have been the colors of the ears (yellow Vs. light and dark skin) and hair (natural Vs. pastel), respectively.
There’s a rumor at Eurobricks that an in-house Fantasy Castle theme will premiere sometime next year.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this was true. It was pretty obvious that Castle will be back after LOTR/The Hobbit gets retired. Can’t wait! 😛
This is not even a rumor, only an assumption, but J. K. Rowling’s new “Fantastic Beasts” project is reported to premiere at cinemas late next year, and the fit for Lego, and former good business relations with Warner Bros, seems too good to pass. More fantasy.
That is very-very interesting…
Which set has the purple key? My daughter has started collecting the Elf sets, however we don’t see it anywhere…are there more to come?
Karen, there are two more sets coming in the summer. 😉
Thanks! ….she has time to save her allowance 🙂
Are there pics or details anywhere?
Yes, in the video at the following link under the LEGO Elves section you can see both of the sets, along with the current ones: http://thebrickblogger.com/2015/02/german-toy-fair-more-lego-sets-videos/. The two sets are the #41077 LEGO Elves Aira’s Pagasus Sleigh with two winged horses pulling a sleigh, and the #41078 LEGO Elves Slyra’s Mysterious Sky Castle, which is a large castle all the keys have to be taken to unlock the portal, so Emily Jones can go home. 😉
