LEGO Speed Champions Review

In 2013, McLaren Automotive launched the groundbreaking McLaren P1 to critical acclaim. The aerodynamic shape was penned by the renowned McLaren Automotive Design Director, Frank Stephenson, who explained that: “Our main objective with the McLaren P1 was to design the best drivers’ car in the world, on road and track. Managing airflow in and around the car’s bodywork and optimizing aerodynamics was key in achieving this goal. This design philosophy crafted the highly unique and emotive shape of the car”. What an awesome opportunity! So you can choose what size vehicle you need to build, as long as the whole scene fits in a shoebox? Do you have to have a setting, or can the whole vehicle be that big?

A similar question was asked on the ReBrick website as well, and according to the response there it is like you said; the overall model needs to fit in the shoebox dimensions given under the rules because that is the size of the display space that will be designated for the model. Within those dimensions you can build one big car that takes up the entire space, or you can build a small one and place it in a setting. So yeah, the only restriction is the overall size, within that you are free to work any way you like. 🙂
