LEGO Star Wars posters collection for 2015

Although Star Wars Day is over, Star Wars related events and promotions will continue until Star Wars: The Force Awakens film will get released at the end of this year. During the May The 4th Be With You promotion you were able to get a free LEGO Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope poster with any LEGO Star Wars purchase, and there will be more posters coming from now until the end of the year. So if you are interested in collecting these, I recommend you mark the dates, as the promotional period for each poster is quite short. Below are the details. 🙂

All of these free LEGO Star Wars posters will be automatically added to your shopping cart with qualifying purchases. What the requirement is going to be for each period is not clear at this point, but I would assume it will be LEGO Star Wars related. The posters are only going to be available at official LEGO stores and at the Online LEGO Shop, while supplies last. To make sure you don’t miss out, on the above mentioned dates visit your local LEGO store or check the Online LEGO Shop.

Collecting LEGO posters is a niche within the LEGO hobby that many LEGO fans pursue. We have discussed the topic previously, and if you are interested, I recommend you check out the related articles at the end of this post. LEGO posters are also collectible items that appreciate in value, so they are also worth considering by investors.

I will make an effort to collect all of these as they are historically significant and also look great together as a collection!

I was never a fan of LEGO starwars, although a few of these posters are neat, my favorties are 3 and 1. Whats everyone else favorites?

I like them all. I think if you have a favorite episode it is worth trying to get that one, but for hard-core Star Wars fan getting the whole collection would be the awesomest! 😛

These posters were also available at Star Wars Celebration 2015, but those posters are 11×17 and unfolded, while I’ve heard and seen that the ones directly from LEGO are 16×20 and folded. Also, General Mills has a promotion going where they put Star Wars posters in specially marked cereal boxes, and those posters are the same designs, albeit non-LEGO, as the LEGO posters, and they’re 11×17, like the first LEGO posters, so if you like seeing the comparisons between the LEGO and real versions, like me, then I suggest you go the 11×17 rout for the LEGO ones, from ebay, then try to collect the General Mills ones as well. On the other hand, if you don’t need the comparisons physically presented to you, you have other 16×20 LEGO posters, and you want most, if not all, of your LEGO posters to be the same size, then I suggest you collect them over the next six months.

Brad, thanks for sharing that! You are the expert on posters, so I really appreciate your info and clarification! 🙂

I wasn’t ever trying to be an expert on it, but I guess it just happened as I collected bits of information here and there. I realized that I forgot to mention that the General Mills posters are folded, and the folds resemble those of a 24×32 poster from LEGO, meaning accordion vertically and horizontally. You’d hardly expect them not to be folded with a cereal promotion like that, though.

Note, the GM posters are slightly different in that the “Episode” text has been removed and just the subtitle remains. The LEGO version match up with the original Drew Struzan posters that have the “Episode” text

      Good notice! Very interesting!

    • Brad May 10, 2015, 1:38 AM

I noticed the text was different, but I was more focused on the fact that the art itself matches up, because that’s what matters to me.

Phew! Glad I got ’em all at Celebration! They’re hanging up in my sons’ bedroom across one wall. They look splendid!

Would keychains be sufficient to get such a poster because then i could pursue the prequel trilogy set, it would make a nice new decoration instead of the 75021 poster(Republic Attack Gunship)

    • admin July 31, 2015, 10:06 PM

Hm… good question. I’m not sure. I would suggest you call LEGO’s customer service and ask.

      • Clumsybumsy August 1, 2015, 8:26 AM

I guess I can always try to add a keychain and see if the posters gets added automatically, haven’t read the terms of the previous poster promotions so I’ll see on august 24

          Yes, that’s a good idea.
