A new month means new LEGO deals, so let’s take a look at what LEGO has to offer in July! We got some big releases in the past couple of months so there are not that many new sets around this time, but still there are some freebies, LEGO VIP member specials and more. Details below. 🙂
➡ LEGO CITY SPACE FREE SET: From July 1-20 you can get a free LEGO City Space Vehicle with any purchase of $35 or more. This set includes an astronaut and a small space vehicle with a radar dish – a perfect companion to the recently released LEGO City Space line. You can check out the video-reviews here: 2015 LEGO City Space Sets Review. And you can find them under the LEGO City section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO STAR WARS FREE POSTER & NEW SETS: Several new LEGO Star Wars sets were released last month, and you can check out the video-review here: 2015 LEGO Star Wars Summer Sets Review. In addition, the third LEGO Star Wars Collectible Poster will be available from July 20-26 with any LEGO Star Wars purchase. As we have discussed previously (see: LEGO Star Wars Posters Collection for 2015), there are six free collectible posters – one for each episode – but the time you can get them is quite short so you need to pay attention to the dates. You can find all the new sets under the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO CREATOR FERRARI F40: LEGO VIP Members will get early access to the recently announced #10248 LEGO Creator Ferrari F40 from July 15-31. This is a LEGO Creator Expert Builder replica of the famous Italian racecar. You can read more about it and watch the designer-video here: LEGO Ferrari F40 Press-Release & More!
➡ EARN DOUBLE VIP POINTS ON SELECT SETS: There are a couple of LEGO sets you can earn Double VIP Points on for the entire month. The #60057 LEGO City Camper Van and the #41093 LEGO Friends Heartlake Hair Salon. Both are excellent sets worth picking up.
➡ LEGO NINJAGO AIRJITZU FLYERS: While we will have to wait for the new wave of LEGO Ninjago sets until August, the LEGO Ninjago Airjitzu Flyers are already available. You can find reviews of the new sets here: LEGO Ninjago Airjitzu Flyers Available Now!, and you can purchase them under the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.
If you live close to a LEGO store, there are also some in-store events kids can participate in. On July 7-8 the LEGO Monthly Mini Model Build will be a whale. Please note that from now on online registration is required to participate in this event. You can register at Shop.LEGO.com/Minibuild-Registration. There are also a couple of LEGO Club Meetings where members can share their building skills, participate in activities, etc. There is also a LEGO Minifigure Speed Build Challenge on July 29th, where the person who can build the most minifigs in one minute will win a Build-A-Minifigure 3-Pack. All of these events are for children ages 6-14, although some stores are more relaxed about the age limits.
Also, talking about LEGO stores, the LEGO Pick-A-Brick Wall will have a new Pick-A-Model selection. According to the July LEGO Store Calendar one of them is going to be an alligator. This new program hasn’t been getting much love from the LEGO fan community as it severely cuts into the Pick-A-Brick Wall selection. I have also heard that some stores removed the displays – whether this is a temporary change or permanent, I’m not sure. You can read more here: LEGO Pick-A-Model at Your LEGO Store
As mentioned previously, July is going to be pretty quiet as far as new releases, but this is actually a welcome break after so many new sets in the past couple of months, like LEGO Pirates, LEGO Speed Champions, LEGO Ultra Agents, LEGO Creator, LEGO City, LEGO Jurassic World, LEGO The Simpsons and more. If you are shopping online, it is also worth taking a look at the Sales & Deals section of the Online LEGO Shop before you check out. There are some nice sets there with a good discount, and likely more will be added as they get retired.
So what do you think? What are you planning to get and build in July? Feel free to share in the comment section below! Also, if you are having trouble choosing which set to get, you are welcome to discuss it here. The LEGO fan community can help you in making a decision. Sometimes all it takes is just talking it through with likeminded friends. 😉

Yup we needed another Naboo Starfighter set, can you say slap some lipstick on that pig and sell some more????
I’m pretty sure SW will get better with the new episodes as they will have fresh material. There are only so many vehicles LEGO could do from the first six. 😉
Nothing interesting for me this month, which is a good thing, I think. But which SW poster will be available on 20-26? The Ep. VI one?
Pick-A-Models come with some useful parts, and the gator looks cool. It might not be a bad idea to get one… unless it’s $5 for ~30 pieces, which is a terrible price. 😕
Also, if anyone missed the first episode of Droid Tales, I found a good-quality one on youtube. I don’t doubt that this will be taken down soon, so here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCubeJbKPuY 🙂
Yes, it’s the Episode VI poster, as you can see on the first picture. I also like the alligator, and I think the other model is a small car, if I remember correctly. Thanks for the Droid Tales! I will watch it tonight! 😀
Ah, yes, I missed that in the first picture. My excuse is that I only briefly scanned the article. 😉
A small car… sounds a lot more boring than the gator. Speaking of mini-builds, that Monthly Mini Build whale looks like a good parts pack. Brick wings, blue slopes, ice cream, a rocker bearing….
How did you like Droid Tales? I think the humor was a little forced, although the (spoiler) R2 game scene was absolutely hilarious. 😀
I haven’t finished watching Droid Tales yet. I started yesterday, but then I got busy and forgot to finish it. And yes, the whale is pretty awesome for parts.
Hey Admin how would I get an add on the side of your website (for future reference)? Also I just posted a review of the Indomonus Rex set, you can see it on my channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiavyRAqHNACl_MJzLYIBnA
I will check out your review a bit later. Just got back from the beach and I’m very hungry. The links at the side are ads that help support the site. They costs $$$. 😉
I know they cost money…I was just wondering….like a monthly donation or something?
They are a fixed price.
What price? Like ex. $250
Also I should have a bunch of haul videos up and the Ant Man Review! I have a new set-up but it needs another lamp.
Please leave a comment on the video telling me suggestions, instead of putting them here. thanks!
