The absolutely gorgeous #70751 LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu is now available for LEGO VIP members. The official release date is September 1st, but LEGO VIP members get access a couple of weeks early. We have talked about the set in detail previously (see: LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu Coming!), and I will repeat some of the most essential information here for your convenience. 🙂
Here is the official description of the set: Join the Ninja at the beautiful Temple of Airjitzu! Enjoy the ultimate LEGO NINJAGO building experience as you construct the majestic Temple of Airjitzu and surrounding village! The highly detailed Temple building has many delightful architectural features including Oriental–style decorated windows and sliding doors. The intricate wooden-frame-style walls of the nearby Blacksmiths and beautiful curved roofs of the Smugglers Market will also test your LEGO building skills. And with every Ninja included in one set for the first time, plus loads of other key characters, you can role-play all your favorite NINJAGO adventures. Take tea in the reception area of the Temple, practice your Ninja moves in the training room or join Wu in his study to read or paint. Discover the Ninja glider upstairs at the Blacksmith’s workshop, cross the bridge guarded by the stone dragons and seek out hidden treasure at the Smugglers’ Market. Then turn off the lights in your room to watch the Temple’s illuminated spinning shadow theater! Includes 12 minifigures with assorted weapons: Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Zane, Cole, Nya, Wu, Misako, Dareth, Postman, Jesper and Claire. 2028 pieces. Price: $199.99 – BUY HERE
This is the largest LEGO Ninjago set to date, and the first large LEGO Ninjago exclusive (meaning you can only buy it directly from LEGO, and perhaps through some specialty stores). While LEGO Ninjago often includes fantasy and sci-fi elements that don’t fit into an Asian-style ninja scene, LEGO did the smart move here with sticking with the traditional. This way the set doesn’t just appeal to Ninjago fans, but also those who like Asian design. Basically this is the Asian version of the #10193 LEGO Castle Medieval Market Village, and it is just as awesome.
We will be reviewing the #70751 LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu in detail, and in the meantime you can watch the designer-video above to show you some of the nicest details. If you are planning to get this set I suggest that you do so now. It will very likely be on backorder by the time it becomes available to the general public. Of course LEGO will be making more for a while, but availability may be sketchy, especially as we get closer to the year-end holiday season. I’m very certain that you can’t go wrong with this set. It is the ultimate gift for kids who are into LEGO Ninjago, a beautiful display piece for adult LEGO fans, and it is also a great investment (although to buy solely for investment purposes I would wait until the set is close to being retired). If you are logged in with your LEGO VIP account, the #70751 LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu set should be available to you under the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.
So what do you think? Are you planning to get the LEGO Ninjago Temple of Airjitzu? Did you order it already? Or if you are lucky enough to live near a LEGO store, did you have a chance to pick it up personally? How do you like the design of the set and the minifigures? And what do you think of that awesome shadow theatre? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I am about to get it! Still saving a bit more money. I can’t wait! Maybe I will do a Brick Breakdown on it!
Yeah, it’s an awesome set! Looking forward to hear what you think of it after you built it! 🙂
Is it possible for VIPs to get in the LEGO store before September?
It should be possible. I would suggest that you call your local LEGO store first to make sure they have it in stock.
I can’t get it.I just don’t have the space for it . It was a very hard to make that call.(I saving for Star Wars).
Whoa dude… this looks like an awesome set! I could never afford it, though O.o
Hey Admin, I just made a game page on my website and I was wondering if you could check it out. http://www.thebricklot.com/games
LOL! I played it a bit. Reminds me of the really old games.
Thanks I designed them in 8bit lol
Anyone else notice that in the first picture there is 2 Cole’s? (One talking to zane, one in the firework cart.)
Yeah, it’s probably just a graphic design mistake. 😉
Is it in walmart or toysrus
David, are you serious? I have seen large sets like this at TRU, but never at Wal-Mart.
