LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens game

LEGO video-games are a fun way to expand the LEGO hobby, and are very popular with LEGO fans. Traditionally LEGO releases a video game with pretty much any movie related LEGO theme they carry. So, as expected, LEGO is coming out with a LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video-game shortly. Below are the details on the new game, as well as the trailer. 🙂

LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens Video-Game Coming

Here is the official description:The Force is strong with this one… The No. 1 LEGO videogame franchise triumphantly returns with a fun-filled, humorous journey based on the blockbuster Star Wars film. Play as Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Kylo Ren, Han Solo, and the rest of your favorite characters from the movie!

In LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, players relive the epic action from the blockbuster film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, retold through the clever and witty LEGO lens. The game will also feature exclusive playable content that bridges the story gap between Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens also introduces Multi-Builds and Blaster Battles to the LEGO videogame universe. With Multi-Builds, use available LEGO bricks to open up new paths, then break them apart and re-build them again to open up another! And another! During Blaster Battles, use your surroundings as cover to stand against the First Order.”

Jamie Eden, Game Director at TT Games posted the following: “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away… TT Games began one of the most epic journeys of all time with the first LEGO Star Wars game in 2005. Now, 11 years later, we’re finally able to reveal that we’ve been working on LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens!

It’s a massive honor to be able to work on a game tied to the incredible Star Wars universe; there are a lot of people at TT Games who hold Star Wars close to their hearts with it being the starting point for the LEGO games — myself included. We’ve covered the Original Trilogy (LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy), Prequel Trilogy (LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game) and The Clone Wars (LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars) in great detail before, but now we get to jump ahead to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which brings a whole host of incredible new locations, characters, droids, and vehicles. Have a look at our awesome announce trailer above… perhaps it might look a bit familiar to you!

One of the most amazing parts of all of this is being able to work with LucasFilm to create new game content with the characters and locations from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, told in a way that only LEGO Star Wars can. Through a strong collaboration with LucasFilm, we’ve been able to create new stories and adventures connecting the Star Wars narrative, both before and tying into the movie. As such huge fans of the franchise, it’s a tremendous honor to have that privilege.

As part of this, we’re pleased to share that PS4 and PS3 players will have access to exclusive downloadable content in the form of a Droid Character Pack and Phantom Limb Level Pack. We can’t go into too much detail right now, but we can’t wait for people to experience the content from the film, as well as new stories in Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Everyone at TT Games is looking forward to revealing more of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens over the coming months. In the meantime — May the Force be with you!”

LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens Video-Game Deluxe Edition

Predicting from the trailer, this is going to be another excellent LEGO video-game, and it is always nice to hear the enthusiasm of those who worked on it. The game will be available on June 28th on all major platforms: New Nintendo 3DS, Wii U, PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Wow! I’m totally getting this game but sad I can’t get DLC. Anyway, this looks like another amazing lego game. Admin, should I get Lego Marvel’s Avengers game or wait for this? Any feedback would be great!

Hm… that’s a tough decision. I’m leaning towards Star Wars, but that’s because I’m a huge SW fan. What I would do in your situation is wait until there are reviews on both games before deciding.

I say MARVEL because this game would be just like Jurassic World (saying that none of the characters have powers except some with the force), but were in MARVEL you have a ton of powers and new ones too, like running on water, up buildings, changing to be super big, or as big as buildings (Fing Fang Foom). So ya, I’d say MARVEL.

If you have the Marvel super heroes game, then you have just about everybody in the Marvel universe. I am leaning towards stars wars.

That’s a good point about the Marvel game.

Sucks that they apparently could care less about the Wii U.

how will it handle the episode 8 and 9? Do you think that once those movies are out that they will make a game like the complete saga, or come out with large DLC for each new movie. I hope that it is the first one, because I can wait.

The reason i stated the DLC is that it shows a season pass on the box art.

That is a good question. I would also prefer the first option, but I really don’t know how LEGO is planning to handle them. I guess we should be finding out soon enough. 🙂
