Just a quick reminded that LEGO is offering Double VIP Points today and tomorrow (November 18th and 19th), and early access to the LEGO Brick Friday specials, that will go live during the Black Friday event next week. Below are the details. 🙂
Starting right after Thanksgiving, Black Friday (plus Saturday and Sunday) and Cyber Monday are the biggest shopping events of the year. In fact, many businesses make their entire year’s profit on this weekend. People are prepared with holiday shopping lists and coupons in hand, and businesses are offering their biggest and best sales to attract buyers. And of course, this includes official LEGO stores, as well as LEGO retailers.
We will talk more about Black Friday specials, and where to shop for LEGO next week, but for now, we will focus on this weekend, where LEGO is offering early access to their Black Friday specials, as well as Double VIP Points to LEGO VIP members. This is actually a really smart move from LEGO, as it ensures that people can make their LEGO purchases without too much distraction.
If you are a LEGO VIP member, you know that all of your purchases at official LEGO stores and the the Online LEGO Shop earns you points, with 1 dollar spend equaling 1 point. So, if you buy a $50 set, you will earn 50 points. A few times a year, LEGO offers Double VIP Points, so you can earn points twice as fast. This is an especially excellent time to pick up large sets you have been saving up for. Once you reach 100 points, you can redeem them as a $5 coupon on your next purchase. So keep in mind; shop during Double VIP Points, and spend your points during non-promotional periods.
In addition to Double VIP Points, this weekend LEGO is also offering early access to the Brick Friday specials to LEGO VIP members. This includes getting the #40254 LEGO Nutcracker brick-built figure with purchases of $99 or more, a free LEGO Canvas Tote Bag with purchases of $199 or more, and there are select items on sale as well. These offers are valid both at official LEGO stores and the the Online LEGO Shop. Plus, shipping is currently free on all orders if you shop online.
For holiday-themed sets, you might consider the #10259 LEGO Winter Village Station, the latest in the LEGO Winter Village series, and a perfect addition to the #10254 LEGO Winter Village Holiday Train from last year. In addition, the #60155 LEGO City Advent Calendar, the #41326 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar, and the #75184 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar include lots of fun mini-builds for each day counting down to Christmas. And, there are also some really sweet small sets perfect for the holiday season for play, display, and as stocking-stuffers. This includes the #40261 LEGO Thanksgiving Harvest, the #40262 LEGO Christmas Train Ride, and the #40263 LEGO Christmas Town Square. They are only $9.99 each, and are available under the seasonal sets section of the Online LEGO Shop.
The Online LEGO Shop also has a comprehensive holiday guide with separate section for hottest gift items, ultimate gift items, and stocking stuffers. The 2017 Hottest LEGO Gifts section includes some of the most popular sets from each theme, priced between $20 and $160. Sets like the #70618 LEGO Ninjago Movie Destiny’s Bounty, the #17101 LEGO BOOST Creative Toolbox, the #21310 LEGO Ideas Old Fishing Store, several LEGO Star Wars, LEGO City, and LEGO Friends sets, and more. You can see them all here: SHOP HOTTEST LEGO GIFTS
The Ultimate LEGO Gifts section is for bigger budgets, between $80 and $500, and includes the best and largest currently available LEGO sets. This includes the #75159 LEGO Star Wars Death Star, the #71040 LEGO Disney Castle, the #75827 LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headguarters, the #42056 LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the #70620 LEGO Ninjago Movie Ninjago City, the #10255 LEGO Creator Assembly Square, the #21137 LEGO Minecraft The Mountain Cave, the #10257 LEGO Creator Carousel, the #75144 LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Series Snowspeeder, the #71042 LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Silent Mary, the #75060 LEGO Star Wars Slave I, the #10258 LEGO Creator London Bus, the #10252 LEGO Creator Volkswagen Beetle, and all three of the currently available LEGO Creator Winter Village sets. You can see them all here: SHOP ULTIMATE LEGO GIFTS
The LEGO Stocking Stuffers section includes small sets that costs less than $10. Some examples are all the sets from the LEGO BrickHeadz collection, the small LEGO Classic Creativity Boxes, LEGO keychains, LEGO holiday ornaments, and small LEGO seasonal sets. You can se them all here: SHOP LEGO STOCKING STUFFERS
So remember, you have two days (this Saturday and Sunday) to take advantage of the Brick Friday specials early, and also earn Double VIP Points. Getting the sets you want now will not just save you money, time, and hassle, but you also have access to a larger selection with less risk that the set you want is already backordered or out of stock. So, if you have anything on your LEGO shopping list, I would encourage to take advantage of this opportunity and avoid the mad rush next week.
What do you think? Are you planning to get anything this weekend? Which sets are on your Christmas wish list? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I don’t know what to buy, and where to buy it…
Right now the best place to shop is directly from LEGO, as they have the Double VIP Points special going on, and free shipping on all orders (even if tiny). This upcoming week, look out for specials from other stores as well. We will talk about it before Thanksgiving. 🙂
As far as what to buy, well, if nothing catches your fancy, and you don’t have anything in mind, you may just want to skip this shopping season. But if you do have some sets on your shopping list, this is a good time to get them.
Well, I was also thinking about bricklink…
BrickLink doesn’t really have any specials for the holidays (although individual sellers might do), so you can shop there any time. 🙂
Is there double vip points next weekend too? Or just the specials?
LEGO shows Double VIP Points for this weekend, but not next weekend. So, if you are planning to place a larger order, I would suggest to do it now to get the Double VIP Points. Next weekend there will be more sets on sale, and also the Joker’s Manor and the Taj will be available. 🙂
SO shipping is free on small orders too? There is no $35 minimum, or whatever it is normally?
Yes, shipping is free on all orders, even small ones. 🙂
Not sure got some Lego duplo. Sets, the ninjago city set got that, the bounty that too, and only got one Lego elf set to get to have them all. However there are sales at ToysRus which I find a better deal they are on sale just snagged the Lego Brick bank for 200.00 on EBay. Hopefully legit, still cheaper than in store and online… Will pass on the Joker Manor until next year. I’m tapped out until next your. Update on IDEA contest Entry Done…. OMG I totally love the results. Promised the kids can play with them after I’m done taking photos and submit… what is with the sand on the floor. oh that poor little fish, Gotta Catch that wave, A Tournament going on, On the look out for danger, Wow castles everywhere. OMG did I just give a hint… well not in the correct order… still confused, well you can check out my entry when I submit. Good Luck to everyone who entered. The best part was having fun and using our Imaginations 😉
Hugs Everyone 🙂
Laurie, where are you located? In the US, the Brink Bank is only $170 normal price, and it is going to be on sale next weekend. Wishing you the best in the contest! 😀
In Canada, still pricy here. However shipping was free. USA got better prices however shipping is insane expensive, we got taxed on anything over 20 USD. Granted I at least saved 20 on the set plus saved 13% taxes too.
Oh, yes, I forgot that you guys taxed so high on imported stuff! Good find then! 😀
I’ll have to pass this time around . Just went to go see justice league with a friend . It’s not as bad as the critics say. I loved it !
I’m a bit dubious, but the Wonder Woman film seems pretty fun. Haven’t gotten around to see it, yet…
I haven’t seen it yet, but the Wonder Woman film has been highly praised, so I think it would be worth checking it out. 🙂
But anyway, I hope you enjoy the film. Feel free to return later, with your impressions.
Hm… I might need to see that…
Can anyone confirm the LEGO Canvas Tote Bag with purchases of $199 or more?
Apparently that special is only offered at stores, but I’m unable to confirm as their customer service is currently closed.
I just picked up ( from the NINAGO movie) the Piranha attack set at my local Target store. It looks awesome! Something has come to my attention about the NINJAGO movie. How can you fight fish with water ? Now I have not seen the movie there might be something in the movie that explains that. So I ‘m curious. ( I’m referring to the water strider.)
Hm… I don’t remember anything specific in the movie referring to this. As far as I know, the Shark Army people are just regular badguys dressed up as fish. They are not aquatic entities immune to water.
But, if there armor is made to be used in a water environment ( as well as there vehicles). It’s very curious .
Yeah, they can travel under and over the water, as well as on land and in the sky. But they are just rank-and-file badguys who live in Garmadon’s volcano lair. I think LEGO just wanted to make them fun and thus the aquatic outfits, but other than that, they are just regular people.
You’re right! I let the adult in me start think in the logic and forgot the imagination factor. I am human ( I think ?) Ninjago is just so much fun to play with. So, who cares. Forget I even brought it up.
Yeah, adults are weird, aren’t they? We always have to have everything logical. 😀
