On January 1st, LEGO released a second series of collectible minifigures related to The LEGO Batman Movie. The collection includes more Batman suits and some other fun characters Batman fans can be very happy about. So let’s take a look. 🙂
Just to recap, in the previously released LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures Series 1 we got 20 minifigures, including five different versions of Batman: Lobster-Lovin’ Batman, Fairy Batman, Glam Metal Batman, Clan of the Cave Batman, and Vacation Batman. In addition, we also got The Eraser, Zodiac Master, King Tut, Pink Power Batgirl, Dick Grayson, Orca, The Joker (Arkham Asylum version), The Calculator, Red Hood, Commissioner Gordon, Barbara Gordon, March Harriet, The Mime, Catman, and Nurse Harley Quinn. The characters have been very popular, especially for collecting all the different Batman suits.
In LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures Series 2, we get 20 more minifigures, including two more versions of Batman: Swimsuit Batman and Mermaid Batman. To match Vacation Batman from the previous series we also get Vacation Robin, Vacation The Joker, Vacation Batgirl, and Vacation Alfred Pennyworth – what a lovely vacationing family! Other characters in the series are Disco Harley Quinn, Doctor Phosphorus, Clock King, Killer Moth, Jor-El, General Zod, Apache Chief, Bat-Merch Batgirl, Hugo Strange, Disco Alfred Pennyworth, Black Canary, Black Vulcan, Wonder Twin Zan and Wonder Twin Jayna.
Just like with all LEGO Collectible Minifigure series, all of the characters come with their own accessories. Particularly noteworthy are Alfred’s guitar, which only came with this print in one other set (The LEGO Ninjago Movie Collectible Minifigures Guitar Rocker), a recolor of the rubber ducky, and the bottles that come with Hugo Strange (not new, but always nice to have more of). And it’s always nice to have more dolphins. Also, Clock King’s head makes a pretty nice standalone clock with a different attachment point than the clock tiles we normally find in LEGO sets (it is the same piece as the previously released Gingerbread Man’s head).
Of course, all the characters are collectible for DC Comics and Batman fans, but some of the minifigure parts are also great for generic use. The disco outfits are perfect for glamorous minifigs, and the vacation shirts are lightweight casual wear around LEGO City. The Apache Chief is an awesome army builder minifig, and Doctor Phosphorus could join the previously released Halloween minifigures. I also like the bare torso of Swimsuit Batman (printed both front and back!), and Black Canary’s outfit.
There are several other interesting facial prints (most of them have dual facial expressions), torso prints, leg prints, hairpieces, and accessories, so even if you are not a Batman fan, it’s definitely worth going through the images carefully to see what useful parts you can find. I’m including JANGBRiCKS’ video-review below, so you can see each of the minifigures from all sides and in more detail.
The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures Series 2 packets should be available at most LEGO retailers (remember that they are blind bags, so you will need to take some time to find the ones you want, by feeling the bags with your fingers). And you can also order them online if you don’t mind getting random characters. See the LEGO Minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? How do you like The LEGO Batman Movie Collectible Minifigures? Do you have the characters from the first series? And are you planning to get the new ones? Which one is your favorite minifig in the collection? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

I liked the first series better. Some of these, like mermaid batman, are a bit too weird for my taste. But I like many of the torso prints, so maybe just pick those with nice torsos.
I haven’t seen them in stores yet around me. I don’t collect them all, but I would like to pick up a few.
I have about half of this series ( and yes I did find the Wonder twins). You don’t know how close I am to buying the Batman movie sets .its talking to me very loudly. I may break .Lol.
Batman has that super attractive deep voice nobody can resist! 😈
Would that be the ” Darkknight side” lol. I was looking at the jr. Set with the bat – wing in it and thought ” that’s not a bad set ” . It comes with Batman ,Robin and a Joker. It’s only $20.00 bucks. I may get it. (Off topic, I think I’ll just get the green Dragon mech ). Oh , here’s a thought TMNT join Batman. They both love being in dark places and they like to keep there identity concealed.
The Turtles tend to be more lightweight though… No matter what, they’re happy together!
I’m wrong the jr. Batcave set isn’t as great as I thought it was. I saw the review video . Bad set, but, an idea on how to make a Landing pad for my Old Batwing.

Warning if you go through the trouble pawing them in the store, and you are confident you got them all, when you get home DO NO OPEN THEM ALL UP… Advice Paw each one at a time, and open each one up.. I found through the excitement I ended up skipping one or 2 and end up with doubles. So yeah when you are super excited it can sometimes overwhelm you to the point you might end up with a double you did not intend to get. Pawing them before you open each one will help prevent doubles, and you will increase you odds in getting a complete set or just getting the ones you really wanted. Do not trust the bumps on the package to clarify what you got or bar code scan your best bet is Pawing for each unique part…WHAT DO I KNOW, I MIS CALCUATED.., Well I made sure to paw again and yes by doing this got a complete set… Complete batman Minifigurine set wave one, and The Ninjago Move Minifigurine set wave one and Now the Batman Movie Minifigure set wave 2 ;). shell Yeah Pawing the bag is your best chance a getting a complete set or at least the ones you really wanted. You can use the box as a guide to help you in what the part looks like for each one. Or the little pamphlet to help guide you Good luck Friends
Yes, pretty much this is the technique I used myself as well. Good guide, good suggestions. Thanks for sharing! 😀
Actually the surf bat girl and the batfan both have the ulitility bet.. If you feel a surf board with the belt you got the surf bat girl. If you feel the belt but no surf board you got the batfan… Just to clarify on this one… Good luck everyone…
Yes, that’s a good point, and the surfboard is usually easy to feel for. 🙂
I picked up everything that I wanted at Barnes & Nobles a few weeks ago. I have to say this is one of the easiest set to feel for.
Great to hear you were able to get the ones you wanted. Yes, large and unique accessories do make identifying minifigs a lot easier! 😀
