LEGO Double VIP Points & free Easter bunny!

Just a quick reminder that the free #5005249 LEGO Easter Bunny Hut promotion is now active, and will run until the end of the month. You will get this cute set with all purchases of $35 or more at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop. In addition, LEGO is also offering Double VIP Points until the end of the month. 🙂

The #5005249 LEGO Easter Bunny Hut is similar to some previous promotions, which included a small cardboard dwelling and one or two minifigures. The #5004468 LEGO Easter Chicken and #5005156 LEGO Gingerbread Man from 2016, and the #5004936 LEGO Caveman & Cavewoman from 2017 are the previously released sets in the collection.

While the LEGO Easter Bunny Hut is small, it actually includes a number of unique and very useful elements. The bunny wears a nicely detailed light-blue suit, striped shirt, and yellow bowtie – a new torso-print made specifically for this minifigure. The bunny’s headgear is not new, as it appeared previously with the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 7 Bunny Suit Guy, but it is quite rare. The bunny also comes with a new color (blue) paintbrush, and a unique decorated egg – all in a cute, fully decorated cardboard bunny hut.

Because of the cuteness and collectability of the set, the rareness of the bunny and the included accessories, and the low minimum purchase amount to get the set, I expect this promotional item to go fast. So, if you want to get one before LEGO runs out of stock, I would suggest you stop by your LEGO store soon, or place an order at the Online LEGO Shop.

The LEGO Easter Bunny Hut is not the only Easter set however. Don’t forget about the #40271 LEGO BrickHeadz Easter Bunny! It’s a very cute set, and a great way to try out the LEGO BrickHeadz building style. It is available (along with the also very cute #40270 LEGO BrickHeadz Valentine’s Bee) at the LEGO BrickHeadz section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Also, if you regularly shop through the phone or online, you should have gotten the LEGO Easter Gift Guide in the mail. It is organized really well to help purchase gifts bases on interest and price. If you haven’t gotten the LEGO Easter Gift Guide, there is also an online version that specifically focuses on LEGO sets under $25. You can find the selection at SHOP.LEGO.COM/EASTER

If you wallet recovered from the holiday and new year shopping, there are plenty of larger sets to choose from as well. This includes the #76105 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition, the #10260 LEGO Creator Downtown Diner, the #21039 LEGO Architecture Shanghai set, and many new sets under the LEGO BrickHeadz, LEGO Classic, LEGO City, LEGO Creator, LEGO Disney, LEGO Elves, LEGO Friends, LEGO Juniors, LEGO Minecraft, LEGO Nexo Knights, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Speed Champions, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO DC Super Heroes, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and LEGO Technic categories. Also, don’t forget some of recent big releases like the #21309 LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V, the #21313 LEGO Ideas Ship In A Bottle, the #70922 LEGO Batman Movie The Joker Manor, and the #10256 LEGO Creator Taj Mahal. You can find them all under the What’s New section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Are you planning to get anything during this promotional period? Which one is your favorite new set so far this year? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below! 😉

Wait a minute. Is the double VIP points a new deal? I don’t remember it announced. And for two weeks???

    • admin March 16, 2018, 1:05 PM

No, it was not announced, but apparently it works, in US, Canada, and the UK as well. I don’t know about other countries.

Isn’t that just for new signups?

    • LEGOJeff March 16, 2018, 11:59 AM

      Otherwise, I’m going shopping! 😀

I don’t see any restrictions to new members only. I even double checked by placing some items in my cart, and it gave me Double VIP Points. It’s best if we just quietly enjoy the benefits without asking too many questions. 🙄

Just got an email from LEGO. The Double VIP Points is not a mistake, and it’s not just for new sign-ups. It is an officially awesome early Easter gift. 😀

Maybe it’s in response to all the bad news that we talked about yesterday. Perhaps they are trying to make their online shop more popular.

Hm… that’s possible. The whole toy industry is shaking in its boots right now…

Someone said it’s a regular occurrence around Easter, though.

The double VIP points is also for us in NZ from March 16 through to March 30……perfect

Hmmm, I might possibly try going to the official Stockholm store to buy some minifigs or something, but there’s nothing I need at the meantime, and it’s a hassle to bike to it…
