March is bringing LEGO fans some interesting new promotions and exciting new sets, collectibles, and accessories. This month is particularly outstanding for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and LEGO Speed Champions fans, but there are some other new sets as well. And there is also Easter coming up! So let’s take a closer look at what the month brings. 🙂
➡ FREE LEGO NINJAGO COLLECTIBLE POD: During the first half of the month (March 1-15) you will get a free #5005230 LEGO Ninjago Zane Training Pod with purchases of $35 or more. This is the latest in the collectible pods series we have talked about before (see: LEGO Promotional Pods Polybag Collection and More LEGO Collectible Pod Polybags). This offer is valid at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO FRIENDS PODS COLLECTION: Speaking of collectible pods, while last year they were mainly offered as promotional items, and some of them were even rare and hard to find, it seems that this year LEGO is going to release quite a few of them as regular items. This month, we are getting five LEGO Friends pods, one for each of the five LEGO Friends; the #853774 LEGO Friends Olivia’s Satellite Pod, the #853775 LEGO Friends Andrea’s DJ Pod, the #853776 LEGO Friends Emma’s Photo Studio Pod, the #853777 LEGO Friends Mia’s Exploration Pod, and the #853778 LEGO Friends Stephanie’s Pool Pod. Each of the pods include one of the girls, and a bunch of really sweet accessories. If you want to collect the pods, they are available under the LEGO Friends section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ FREE LEGO EASTER BUNNY HUT: During the second half of the month (March 16-31) you will get a free #5005249 LEGO Seasonal Easter Bunny Hut with purchases of $35 or more. This is a great little set with a unique bunny suit minifigure, a new color (blue) paintbrush, and a unique printed egg – all in a cute cardboard bunny hut! My suspicion is that this promotional item is going to go very fast, so if you would like to get it, place your qualifying purchase as soon as the promotion starts at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ FREE LEGO DUPLO SET & EVENTS FOR YOUNGER FANS: From March 5th to the end of the month, you will get a free LEGO DUPLO Learning Numbers with LEGO DUPLO purchases of $25 or more. This is a small set with some DUPLO bricks and a visual aid to build numbers. There are also a number of in-store events for younger kids throughout the month, like the Garmadon Temple Take Down Event (March 5 – April 22), the VIP Monthly Mini Model Build (March 6-7), the LEGO DUPLO Learning Through Play Class on March 15th, Minifigure Swap Monday on March 19th, and a couple of LEGO Life Meetings. For more info and to sign up your child, call your nearest LEGO store.
➡ LEGO MARVEL SUPER HEROES PROMOTIONS: To celebrate the release of a whole new wave of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets, LEGO is offering a number of promotional items. The first offer is for a free limited edition Marvel art print sketched by Marvel illustrator Ron Lim when you purchase the #76105 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (this offer is for LEGO VIP members only). The second offer is a free Marvel art print with a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes purchase of $25 more. The third offer is a free mini version of The Guardians’ ship with a LEGO Marvel Super Heroes purchase of $75 more. Please note that if you get the #76105 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition you will qualify for all three freebies!
➡ LEGO ULTRON EDITION HULKBUSTER: The #76105 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition is going to be available on March 3rd. This is a massive, Ultimate Collector Series version of the Hulkbuster that was first revealed at the New York Toy Fair. Here is the official description: Build and display this superhero toy—a highly detailed LEGO brick version of the Hulkbuster mech, featuring a rotating torso, posable fingers, arms, legs and feet, and glow-in-the-dark elements. Choose from 2 interchangeable left arms, including a jackhammer arm with punching function, and activate the LEGO light brick in the chest. This LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition set also includes a display platform with alternate attachment points for posable robotic construction arms and a desk, plus a new-for-March-2018 Iron Man Mark 43 minifigure. 1,363 pieces. Price: $119.99 – BUY HERE
➡ 2018 LEGO MARVEL SUPER HEROES SETS: Other new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes are also available this month, including the highly anticipated #76107 LEGO Super Heroes Thanos: Ultimate Battle, and the #76108 LEGO Super Heroes Sanctum Sanctorum, which many LEGO fans are planning to add to their LEGO Modular Buildings line-up. The official release of the news sets is March 3rd, but LEGO fans are reporting that they can be purchased already from various LEGO retailers. If you don’t mind waiting a couple of days, and you would also like to earn VIP Points, get the free promotional item, and the Marvel promotions, you can purchase the sets at the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ 2018 LEGO SPEED CHAMPIONS SETS: The 2018 LEGO Speed Champions sets are now available. This is one of the strongest waves of LEGO Speed Champions, with some really excellent cars. The #75884 LEGO Speed Champions 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback, the #75885 LEGO Speed Champions Ford Fiesta M-Sport WRC, and the #75888 LEGO Speed Champions Porsche 911 RSR and 911 Turbo 3.0 are particularly outstanding sets. Then there is also the #75889 LEGO Speed Champions Ferrari Ultimate Garage with three cars, including another classic! You can find the sets at various retailers and at the LEGO Speed Champions section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO CLASSIC MISSION TO MARS: The #10405 LEGO Classic Mission to Mars set is now available. This is the largest in the LEGO Classic Building Bigger Thinking series with 871 pieces that encourages free-building with basic LEGO elements. The price is $59.99, which is excellent at less than 7 cents per piece. It is available – along with the other LEGO Classic free-building sets – at the LEGO Classic section of the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO PHONE COVER WITH STUDS: If you have an iPhone 6, 6s, or 7, you can get a customizable #853797 LEGO Phone Cover with Studs. It features a durable phone cover with an integrated baseplate and 47 loose LEGO elements. You can build one of the three mosaic suggestions or create your own personal designs. While this is not the first phone case LEGO ever offered, I really like the design of this one. Notice the fish’s movable fin; that’s an integrated stand for your phone! It is a little pricey for a phone cover at $29.99, and it also makes your phone quite thick, but if you want studs on your phone, this is the best official version. See at the Online LEGO Shop.
➡ LEGO BRICKHEADZ EASTER BUNNY: With Easter coming up soon, don’t forget about the #40271 LEGO BrickHeadz Easter Bunny! It’s a very cute set, and a great way to try out the LEGO BrickHeadz building style. It is available (along with the also very cute #40270 LEGO BrickHeadz Valentine’s Bee) at the LEGO BrickHeadz section of the Online LEGO Shop.
To summarize, both the first and second half of the month have nice collectible freebies, and there are a number of new sets to try out depending on your taste and interest. And, of course, there is still plenty to choose from the January and February releases. This includes the #10260 LEGO Creator Downtown Diner, the latest in the LEGO Modular Building series, the #21039 LEGO Architecture Shanghai set, and many new sets under the LEGO BrickHeadz, LEGO Classic, LEGO City, LEGO Creator, LEGO Disney, LEGO Elves, LEGO Friends, LEGO Juniors, LEGO Minecraft, LEGO Nexo Knights, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Star Wars, LEGO DC Super Heroes, LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, and LEGO Technic categories. Also, don’t forget some of recent big releases like the #21309 LEGO Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V, the #21313 LEGO Ideas Ship In A Bottle, the #70922 LEGO Batman Movie The Joker Manor, and the #10256 LEGO Creator Taj Mahal. You can find them all under the What’s New section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I’m tempted by some of those Speed Champions sets. The classic cars could be turned into City vehicles easily, and they look great!
Okay, so it seems that if you plan to get any Marvel sets it makes the most sense to wait until the 3rd. Is that correct?
Yes, if you are planning to get Marvel sets (new or old), I would suggest waiting until the 3rd. You will get lots of perks! 🙂
I like the look of that phone case. Does that make the phone too thick?
The phone case will make your phone pretty thick. Imagine adding studs to the case you already have. And if you add some actual LEGO pieces to the studs, it will get even thicker. Adding all of that up will come to around 3/4 of an inch. It’s definitely fun though, and will make the phone more grippy/less chance to fall. For those who don’t wear their phone on their body (i.e. in a bag or purse) it’s a fun option. The case is quite sturdy.
Sanctum Sanctorum! Well you know. Nothing’s on the lego web site yet. It use to be sets were shown a week or two early before sets come out. I don’t know what’s the deal there?
Yeah, that’s an awesome set! The new Marvel sets will be available on the 3rd. 😉
Patiently waiting for the Sanctum Sanctorum. The Ultron Hulkbuster also looks interesting, but I want to see some reviews first.
I want to get the bunny because of the new paintbrush. I was wondering when they will release it in other colors! 😀
LOL! Yeah, we definitely need more paint brushes! Otherwise everything will be green! 😀

Did you guys see?? The new Milano can be combined with the Rocket Raccoon escape pod!!!!!
Yep, saw that! The pictures were uploaded to LEGO’s website today. Very cool! 😀
Yeah! It seems like the Marvel sets are very exciting this time. They all connect together one way or another( particularly, if you want to build up Thano’s gauntlet.) I plan to get them all ( eventually). I have this crazy idea that I might add my teenage mutant ninja turtles with the Sanctum Sanctorum because of the pizza place . Maybe I’ll have April ‘o Neil work there.Lol!
Sounds like a good plan! The Sanctum Santorum also makes a great modular! https://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/81ke55/ive_been_spending_my_night_modding_the_new/
So, I’m thinking , that I get the Sanctum Sanctorum and work my way down ( get the Milano w/ Thano’s ) or wait on that and get the less expensive sets instead . (Wait and get the Milano set later on ).What would you do?
I think the three sets that are really worth it are the Sanctum, the Gardians’ Ship, and the escape pod (to complete the ship). And either the large or the regular Hulkbuster. I actually expect all of these sets to fly off the shelves. I’m sure LEGO will make more, as these are regular sets, but there could be shortages and delays. So, it just depends on what are you itching to build now, and what are you willing to wait for. Also, consider the freebies, if you want any of them. 😉
