The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom film premiered back in June of this year, and with it came a whole collection of LEGO sets (see: 2018 LEGO Jurassic World Sets Overview). Since then, the home entertainment DVD/Blu-ray version of the film was released (see: Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom on Amazon), and Universal Studios also announced that they’ll be continuing to market the Jurassic World franchise through 2021, when the sixth Jurassic Park/Jurassic World film is slated to be released. Attractions include the Jurassic World: The Exhibition touring experience, the Jurassic World in Concert visual and orchestral experience, the Jurassic World Alive augmented reality mobile game, and the Jurassic World Evolution console/PC game. More LEGO building sets (as well as other toys by Mattel) are also scheduled for release next year. In addition, we are getting a 22-minute LEGO Jurassic World animated special that will be airing soon. 🙂
The LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit animated special takes place before the adventures of Jurassic World in 2015. In the story, Simon Masrani has an idea for a new attraction that is guaranteed to keep Jurassic World at the forefront of theme park entertainment. It’s the greatest thing since the discovery of dinosaurs, but in order for it to succeed, he needs his right-hand can-do problem solver, Claire Dearing, to get a trio of dinosaurs across the park to the new, super-secret exhibit. Reluctantly teaming up with newcomer Owen Grady, the animal behaviorist she hired sight unseen to deliver the dinosaurs, the duo set out on a fun-filled adventure across the island. Unfortunately, delivering the dinosaurs to the new attraction is not as easy as they thought. Watch the trailer below.
It looks like this is going to be a fun film, isn’t it? LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit is scheduled to premier on NBC in two parts on November 29th, and on November 30th it will be available on several streaming platforms, like the NBC app, NBC.com, Hulu, and On Demand. A DVD version will be released on January 15th of next year. In the meantime, if you are in the mood for Dinos, you can also take a look at the full selection of LEGO Jurassic World sets at the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? Are you a fan of Jurassic Park/Jurassic World? Do you plan to watch LEGO Jurassic World: The Secret Exhibit at the end of the month? Cool! I wanna watch this! Lego’s dinos are awesome!!!
Do we know when the next Jurassic World sets coming? Is it January? Or mid-year?
No definite date yet. My guestimate is that it will probably be next summer as the January sets tend to focus on LEGO’s core themes.
I’m still going to combined Jurassic world and Star Wars together. I figured that the velociraptors ( like blue) are like trained dogs and guard the camp just as a dog would . I know I mentioned this before, but the Ewok Village with some wookies and rebel Alliance ( Jurassic people included) . Would be awesome!🙄
LOL! I would love to see that! Sounds like a great combo! The Tauntaun even has a harness that you might be able to add to the dinos. 😀
Or have the rebels use the tauntauns as transportation Through the Jungle/ forest.
Here’s a funny thought, imagine a couple of T-Rexes vs a at-at. Lol!
I would totally watch a movie with that! T-Rex for the win! 😀
