LEGO adult shopper experience survey

Around the world, there are different types of LEGO stores with the goal of providing an inspiring, interactive, creative, and fun experience for kids and adults alike. Now, the LEGO Retail Design Team would like to hear from adult LEGO fans about their shopping experiences and expectations, and how the LEGO Retail Design Team can make the experience even better.

Working with adult fans of LEGO, the LEGO Retail Design Team has created a short survey and with the hope that you can take a few minutes to share your thoughts. Your insights will help to make visiting a LEGO store a truly memorable event! Whether you visit a LEGO store every day or have never even seen one, it is important to know what adults expect and desire from a visit. Your feedback will be considered when designing the future LEGO store experience.

Just like a LEGO creation, each person offers a different and unique perspective so, the survey is open to anyone and everyone with the hope that thousands of adults from around the world share their ideas. The survey is anonymous and available in both English and Simplified Chinese. Survey closes March 20, 2019. Here is the link to the survey: LEGO ADULT SHOPPER EXPERIENCE SURVEY

I have already completed the survey myself. The questions were straightforward, and it took less than ten minutes to respond to them all. So, if you can spare a few minutes, head over to the survey link to share your own answers. It is very valuable to the LEGO Retail Design Team to hear from adult LEGO fans. While most of the questions are multiple-choice, there is also space to write out further feedback that you feel is important.

And if you like, once you completed the survey, you can come back here to share additional insights, and discuss your experiences at LEGO stores, what you like, what you don’t like, and what changes and improvements you would like to see. 😉

Filled it out, thanks. I rarely have a chance to visit a lego store, but whenever I can it’s a pleasure. My favorite is seeing the large sets on display and the community windows (I think that’s what they are called).

I like those displays as well. They are so creative! They are usually designed by members of local LEGO User Groups. 🙂

We have three lego stores near us, so we are lucky. For adults the pick a brick wall is the attraction and the big sets on display. Kids like the minifig making station and the play tables. The augmented reality stations are cool, but at least my kids rather build.

Ahhh… you must be in heaven with three LEGO stores! My closest store is more than two hours away! 😀

I’m surprised they didn’t ask about how we like the PAB wall. For AFOLs that’s really the most important. Like others said, I also like to see large sets on display. A separate area for AFOLs where there are less screaming kids would be nice.

I think the PAB Wall was not addressed because these questions are specifically from the LEGO Retail Design Team. They are responsible to make sure the stores look inviting, usable, and practical. The PAB Wall is not managed by this team besides maybe the placement of the wall itself. However, if you do want them to know something about the PAB Wall, you can leave that in the comment section of the survey.

I would like to say something about my Lego store , but it moved away from me . So, nothing to say except ” please, please come back 😭.”

    • admin February 26, 2019, 1:39 PM

Awww… you can definitely say that in the survey. They want to hear from people who have a LEGO store near them and people who have never even been to a LEGO store. After the standard survey questions, there is room to type out your feedback, wishes, grievances, and whatever else you would like to say. So tell them!

This was a good survey. I was able to give some feedback I have been meaning to. It didn’t take too long either. I hope they get lots of valuable feedback. They have a good layout in general, but with kids running around it can get crowded. If you don’t want kids around it’s best to go during the day and not on the weekend.

I did the survey. So, are we going to get a response?

    • admin February 26, 2019, 5:06 PM

The survey is anonymous, so we won’t get an individual response, but if you like, I can ask on the Ambassador Forum if the team is going to share at least some of the results with us. 🙂

  • Legostuff14 February 26, 2019, 7:18 PM

Sure, it would be interesting to find out what there thoughts on the input from adult fans of lego.

    • admin February 26, 2019, 11:15 PM

Okay, I will let them know. They usually share survey results that are directly from the Ambassador Forum, but since this one is from another department, I’m going to mention that it would be great if they could share some of the conclusions/results. 🙂

I took the time and gave the input on the survey. I’m a pretty low-maintenance customer, so I mostly go in, grab the model I want, check out the other sets then pay and go. Unless it’s one of the really heavy models then I’ll peruse the joint, pick the item out then buy and go. 😀

I certainly don’t mind talking with employees but I start feeling a little guilty if I take up too much of their time. I think this comes from past experience with working retail. I’m happy with the experience as is, and don’t feel much if anything is lacking.

So I guess I my input was helpful? 😉

    • admin February 26, 2019, 11:14 PM

Rob, yes, your feedback is definitely helpful. They really emphasized that they wanted to hear from as many AFOLs as possible, no matter how close or how far they live from a LEGO store. 🙂
