LEGO Speed Champions & Forza Horizon 4

There is a new LEGO Speed Champions expansion pack that is now available for players of Forza Horizon 4. Forza Horizon 4 is a racing video game developed for the Xbox One and Windows 10. The new expansion pack features some of the vehicles from the LEGO Speed Champions line, which you can drive in the newly added LEGO Valley section of the Forza Horizon 4 map. The buildings, landscape, and roads are also set up like they were built out of LEGO bricks, so you can fully immerse yourself in the world of LEGO racing. Below is the description of the game, the trailer, gameplay, and some behind-the-scenes footage.

Here is the description of the game expansion: The Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions expansion invites you to race and explore a wondrous new LEGO Valley brought to life at the Horizon Festival. Amass your own Brick Collection and construct a Master Builder’s House with a garage of amazing LEGO Speed Champions cars including the McLaren Senna, Ferrari F40 Competizione, and 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally. Complete fun new LEGO Brick Challenges, collect hidden Bonus Cubes, and earn 31 Achievements for 500 GS. Requires Forza Horizon 4 game, sold separately. Expansion included with the Ultimate Edition or available with purchase of the Forza Horizon 4 Expansion Pass, Ultimate Add-Ons Bundle, or as a standalone purchase of $19.99.

  • Explore a LEGO Themed World – In an all-new valley filed with LEGO brick structures, find out how fast you can go around the Falcon Speedway and how far you can jump in the fun-filled Super Mega Awesome Adventure Stunt Park. Experience how seasons change a LEGO city, airport, UFO crash site, pirate cove, and more.
  • Discover LEGO Brick Challenges – Embark on a new LEGO Brick Challenge Campaign that rewards free exploration and build a Master Builder’s House as your collection grows. You will also encounter other new game play challenges such as LEGO Speed Ramps and Destruction challenges.
  • Become a LEGO Speed Champion – Collect and race new LEGO Speed Champions cars, such as the McLaren Senna, Ferrari F40 Competizione and the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally, against real world cars that utilize the Forza racing franchise’s renowned physics and handling. You can also work to become a LEGO Speed Champion hero in a grand finale race on an epic LEGO Goliath route.

To better understand what’s included in the game, in the player below, I have included the LEGO Speed Champions expansion pack trailer, JANGBRiCKS walking you through the game, and a series of four videos from Forza with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from the development of the game. You can let the videos play one after another automatically, or use the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the player to select the video you would like to watch.

Judging from the gameplay and the behind-the-scenes footage, it appears that this game expansion has great potential. Game developers really captured the LEGO look and feel without compromising the quality of the racing experience. Although only three LEGO Speed Champions cars are currently available in the game, my guess is that more will be added later.

LEGO Speed Champions is a very successful line with an excellent selection of minifig-scale racecars based on real vehicles. LEGO fans and car fans enthusiastically collect them and eagerly wait for new addition. Being able to race the vehicles in a LEGO-ized version of a popular racing game will only boost their success. You can get the Forza Horizon 4 game at Amazon and other retailers, the LEGO Speed Champions expansion pack at the Microsoft store, and the LEGO Speed Champions building sets at the LEGO Speed Champions section of the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? Do you play any of Forza series racing games? And what do you think of the LEGO Speed Champions expansion pack? Are you planning to give it a try? Do you collect the LEGO Speed Champions cars? Would you like to see some of the other LEGO Speed Champions vehicles in the game? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

This looks interesting. I played the game on and off, and I like the gameplay by Jang. Too bad only a couple of cars available now. I hope they add more.

This looks really cool. I like how they made the environment all Lego. Too bad the house is not built, but just plops down there. But it’s funny.

This gives me the idea of how about making a lego addition to all popular video games? I know it probably won’t happen, but I think it would be cool. 😀

It seems like Lego is really ramping up their presence in the video game industry. This is a pretty cool collab, even if it’s not perfect. If they would add a few more cars I would bite.

I wish they would release the Mini as a separate set by itself. It’s one of the best speed champions set. This game makes me want to get it even more.

I so much agree with this! Why didn’t they put the Mini in its own set like many of the other speed champions? It’s the cutest car ever! I would have loved a blue and green version like in the game too!
