I’m building my wanted list right now. Did anyone receive the January catalog yet?
I haven’t received my Catalog yet, but I hope it arrives soon. With the holiday mail, things can get delayed.
Is anyone awake yet? Happy New Year! Well, I din’t win the lottery last year, so no legos for me just yet. I’m trying to be more responsible with my money. But I will still have a lego budget. 😀
Sounds like a good plan! Having a LEGO budget allows you to plan wisely and enjoy the hobby without guilt… mostly. 😉
So, here’s my thought after getting a lot of Lego sets for Christmas, when does it become a ” greedy Factor”. Or is just to late for us . Lol! I’m interested in the new city sets particular the tuning shop and the gas station. I’ll try and stay away from the second wave of Star Wars for a while ( even after I just saw the movie yesterday). The hidden sides sets are always on my interesting and unique radar. I guess it comes down too where you are at the building stage right now and where you want to be later on. Right now I’m build the assembly and transport Space Station. As well as other sets from the space theme. So, I guess the smart thing to is build what I have and save money . I think then I’ll work my way down from the tuning shop to the gas station and see what happens next. From the most expensive to most inexpensive. Let’s hope I follow through with my plan.🤔
The Tuning Shop is such a great looking set! I especially like the little trailer. How do you like the space sets? I have been considering getting the two largest ones, but so far it didn’t happen. But just yesterday I was building with friends, and we put together one of the smaller sets and really liked it. 🙂
Hey, guys, happy new year! Anyone got any of the new sets yet? I’m still sleepy, and it’s cold outside, but I was thinking of going over to WM or Target to see what they got in stock.
There are so many new sets it’s hard to choose! But yeah, if you have a store near you that carries the new sets, it’s worth checking them out. Happy New Year to you as well! 😀
What about the Chinese new year sets? Aren’t they supposed to be released too? Or are they coming later?
They are getting released on the 10th. We will talk about them at that time. 🙂
The actual Chinese New Year is on the 25th, apparently, since they follow the Lunar calendar. (So it’s still ahead of schedule…)
Hey, everyone, happy new year! My new year’s resolution is to organize my Lego. I’m fairly organized, but I also have some stuff that has been sitting in boxes half built. I want to clear that up because it discourages me from building. How do you guys organize your Lego?
I run into this as well. Work on several projects at the same time, don’t clean up, and stuff gradually accumulates into a nondescript mess. One thing I found helpful is making cleaning up fun. Put on a movie, or listen to music or a podcast, and spend an hour sorting out the mess. I agree that once things are sorted, building feels so much more peaceful. I use the LEGO storage bricks for organization. 🙂
Happy New Year! I haven’t looked through all the new sets yet. It’s difficult to search for them at the online shop as they are merged together with the 2019 sets. So thanks for the list. Is the wishlist now reliable? I remember it had issues for a long time.
Oh, I had so much fun building the larger of the space sets ( the rocket and assembly transport set). The transport vehicle for the rocket was an interesting build. A lot interesting techniques. The rocket itself was a fun build and it’s huge. I may be back tracking my Lego sets purchasing plan. I have a lot of skiers and snowboarders which tells me I should probably get the ski patrol set. I’m trying to work towards what I need to expand in my city. The new sets will be out for a while. Plus some was nice enough to give me the resistance Millennium Falcon and so I got that the build to. But not for a while. Does anyone have the ski patrol set and if so, what’s their thoughts on it?
We have that set. It’s a mix of vehicles and buildings, but I don’t think it’s a good as the Friends ski resort set from a couple of years ago. The major issue is that it doesn’t have a ski lift. But if you plan to expand it, it’s a good starting point.
Too many to choose from! I really like the creator bookstore. I may cash in some VIP points and get that and the X wing fighter. I’m in the process of hanging some Star Wars fighters from the ceiling. Saves on shelf space! Happy New Year everyone!
Ah, yeah. You need strong strings and supports, though, or accidents are prone to happen…
Why is it they always seem to fall from the ceiling at 3 am? Why not noon or 4 pm? 😉
WHAT ARE YOU GUYS TALKING ABOUT???!!! 🙄
Hanging X wing, Y wing, and an A wing fighter from the ceiling. And how if they fall, they always seem to fall in the middle of the night! I think? LOL!
Thank you jabber-baby- wocky. I’m still thinking on it. Right now I’m enjoying my new Lego sets I got on christmas. I may just stick to smaller and less expensive sets. If I do get the ski patrol set. I would put log cabins around it for a ski Resort. Just change the grass with snow ( white base plate).
Cute little rat! Now with my mom being born in Europe, I doubt she’d be too excited to see a Lego build rat, but eh, she has been known to surprise me before.
I’m an urban kid. At night, I see real ones on an almost weekly basis…
You guys have rats in the city? I guess I just never thought about that. I have never seen one.
I mean I haven’t seen a rat in the city. I suppose they are out there. Now I’m nervous.
There are rats in Stockholm and all big cities where there’s a lot of food around. Rats tend to be quite shy and generally run away from humans, though.
