The holidays always come and go, but The Force is always there! How do your Holiday Star Wars scenes look? The LEGO Ideas team wants you to create a holiday LEGO Star Wars scene with some of the most iconic ships and characters. This is a fun challenge and the prizes are amazing. If you’re interested, go through the details below.
Your scene must feature at least one of the following and be holiday themed, but the rest is up to you: Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighter, X-Wing Fighter, AAT, AT-AT, Jedi Interceptor, and the 501st Legion Clone Troopers.
The contest will consist of 3 phases: 1.) Submission Phase – Build and submit your entry before November 24th, 2020 at 6:00 a.m. EST. 2.) Judging Phase – the LEGO Ideas judges review the entries and choose the winners by December 8th, 2020. 3.) Winners Announcement – The grand prize winner and two runner up winners will be shared on LEGO Ideas no later than December 15th, 2020.
Submissions may be in either physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as LEGO Digital Designer. You’re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to enhance your photos/presentation. Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the contest. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. Submit your photos in as high a resolution as possible so that we can see all the details clearly. If possible, the shortest edge should be at least 1080 pixels. Add a title and short description. To help get your entry moderated quickly state in your description which build you’ve included in your entry. Upload your entry to the contest using the blue Submit Your Entry button on the LEGO Ideas contest entry page.
The contest rules are the usual; You must be the original creator of all creative work you submit (the model, images, photographs, description text, etc.) and you must have the exclusive right to submit your model to this LEGO Ideas contest. You may not submit a model or any other content made by, or on behalf of, someone else. Entries must be new creations and not previously posted online or submitted to any other contest. You may submit multiple entries to the contest, but only one entry per person will be considered when winners are selected. You are allowed to use any official LEGO element (LEGO System, LEGO DUPLO, LEGO Technic/Constraction) in your entry. The LEGO elements must be genuine (not cut, glued, or otherwise modified). Entries can only reference Star Wars and should not contain copies or references to any other existing third-party work or creation or infringements of any third-party intellectual property right. You must be at least 13 years of age to participate and enter. You can read the rest of the rules on the LEGO Ideas contest entry page.

I want ot build that Christmas Falcon! It looks so fun! I’m looking forward to the results of this contest.
They released a Christmas X-wing a year or two ago. You might want to look into that. It’s great.
There is a christmas x-wing? Is that a moc or a real set?
It was a gift for full-time employees, I think.

Yes, we talked about it here as well: http://thebrickblogger.com/2019/12/lego-star-wars-christmas-x-wing/
Oh! Me want! 😀
I ‘think’ they might be somewhat easier and cheaper to snag on the secondary market, than, for instance the SDCC sets, but they’re still not cheap.
I recall that one of those sets included a Blacktron (I) fig, which caught my attention, although regular original Blacktron figs are relatively easy to get even in good condition, anyway…

The Blacktron Astronaut is up to his usual no good in this video…

I find it very amusing that the copy that ended up illustrating the set on Bricklink was Hungarian.
Ünnepi Üdvözlet, y’all!

Haha! That video is by Paul, who runs an awesome channel and is also a LEGO Ambassador. I met him when we were both visiting the Mega Construx factory in Canada. Ünnepi Üdvözlet to you as well! 😀
And a happy upcoming Life Day, everyone!
