LEGO Ninjago has now been around for 10 years… 10 YEARS! To celebrate the long history of the theme, the LEGO Ideas team is running a contest. If a Ninjago Museum were to open, what would you put in it? Using the past 10 years of action-packed Ninjago history, build a relic, painting, or something else that you’d display in this museum. Below are the details.
The 10 Years of LEGO Ninjago contest will consist of three phases: Submission Phase – Build and submit your entry before February 16th, 2021 at 6:00 a.m. EST. Judging Phase – The LEGO Ideas judges review the entries and choose the winners by February 23rd, 2021. Winners Announcement – The LEGO Ideas team shares the grand prize winner and two runner up winners, on LEGO Ideas no later than March 2nd, 2021.
Submissions may be in either physical bricks or by using a digital building tool such as LEGO Digital Designer. You’re welcome to use image editing tools, such as Photoshop, to enhance your photos/presentation. Videos in your submissions are also accepted. Take up to five photos of your creation and submit them to the contest. Make sure to show off all angles and any features or functions of your creation. Add a title and description. Upload your entry to the contest using the blue Submit Your Entry button on the contest entry page.

This is an excellent contest for Ninjago fans who have been following the story from the beginning, or even those who joined later but have an intimate knowledge of the story and characters. I except to see some wonderful entries in this contest as Ninjago has such a rich history and passionate fans. So head over to the contest page to check out what others built and to submit your own creation. And you can also take a look at the recently released sets related to the history of Ninjago at the LEGO Ninjago section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I would love to see something awesome come out of this contest. Something that could even be made into a set.
I would love to get that poster!
Did you guys see the Monastery of Spinjitzu entry? II would love to see that one made into a set. It’s closed on all sides and is sitting on a mountain.
did you see the life size golden weapons? That’s one of my favorites.
So, here’s an off topic question. I’ve been looking for previous mystery mini figure series characters ( mostly knights ) and discovered that they are not cheap. Now, I have some of them and I’m debating on weather or not I should bag them up and put them away. My question is are the mini figures valuable because they were hard to find or are they valuable because they are part of a castle theme that we haven’t had in awhile. What’s your thoughts on this?
If you let me know which knight figures you’re looking at, I could probably give further insights, but in general, minifigs from the earliest series are the most expensive, followed by minifigs from retired series that are no longer available. Then, whichever are the popular. Another thing to consider about knights is that people often use them as army builders and try to purchase multiplies. This makes them more desirable and less available than other figures, thus driving the price up. Personally, I just enjoy the knights I got and don’t worry about their resale value. 🙂
What are you talking about? CMF figures such as Series 9 Heroic Knight and Series 20 Tournament Knight? Most of them don’t seem to be that insanely expensive on Bricklink.
Anyway, collector prices in general stem from supply and demand. That said, most of the CMF:s have been produced in such massive volumes that few of them really are that hard to find, when you think about it…
Also, there’s occasional nostalgia throwbacks and the army building aspect Thita mentioned that could push up the pricing.
I was looking at the last series (20) the tournament knight. The cost was about $16.00 on Amazon. It varies on certain mini figures some that have been in earlier series cost about $6.00 ( the highlander or Scottish warrior). I’m with you on enjoy the mini figures you have and not worry about the money value. I’ve also been trying to find the falcon knights because of the medieval blacksmith set that’s coming out in a week. I have older castle mini figure sets ( back when the box was yellow) and there were a couple falcon knights as well as the lion knights . So, just trying to build up my army. Which reminds me I’m also including ninjago from last year’s theme. Definitely has that castle feel to it.
I would not shop for minifigs on Amazon. Their prices are way over inflated, and they are often Chinese fakes. On BrickLink, the average price for the tournament knight is just about $6. BrickLink is a much safer and better place to shop for minifigs and individual elements. I would only use Amazon for larger sets, and only when directly sold by Amazon (not third-party sellers).
I’m also thinking about building up a Falcon army! I have been thinking about doing that for quite some time, but the Medieval Blacksmith is definitely making me think about it more seriously. But I think I will use black, or pearl-dark-gray armor for them. The silver armor makes them look more like the 2013 Lion Knights, which I already have an army of. 🙂
Ah, yeah, I also have a bunch of the Lion Knights/ Crusaders and the Black Falcons. I thought about building a castle or something, but for the moment, I feel I’m lacking both the time, space and energy for that. And I would probably prioritize something spacey, anyway. (Or is it spelled spacy?)
Curiously, if you scrutinize the Black Falcon torsos, there are apparently three subtle variations in released sets, with one variation switching the blacks and whites, and one having the head reversed. Not sure if they are deliberate design changes, or just production errors that weren’t caught…

I got the lion knights as well . In fact I just pulled out the jousting set and I’m thinking “bring out the lions”. Lol! What I have of the falcon knights they team up with the lions because the green dragon knights and the red dragon knights all but slaughtered the falcon knights almost to oblivion. To change it up I almost wanted to put the various ninjago characters in it. Cole and Zane would be with the dwarves. Kai would be with the red dragon knights and Lloyd would be with the green dragon knights. I don’t know, maybe nya and jay can be with the falcon knights. They fight against the trolls and the sorcerer skulls skull army. What do you think?
