September wraps up the summer season and most of us are back to school, work, and regular life in general. But this doesn’t mean we have to stop enjoying our hobbies. In fact, LEGO is enticing us with several new sets this month. Let’s take a look!
LEGO IDEAS MOTORIZED LIGHTHOUSE AVAILABLE NOW: The first new set this month is a big one. The #21335 LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse with 2,065 pieces and measures over 21.5 in. (54 cm) high, 10 in. (25 cm) wide, and 10 in. (25 cm) deep. We talked about this set before (see: LEGO Ideas Motorized Lighthouse Press-Release) but to recap, the set features a lighthouse tower with motorized rotating light and custom-designed Fresnel lens elements, plus a cottage with a glowing fireplace (LEGO Power Function battery box, medium motor, and cable with lights included). The set also comes with minifigures. The price is $299.99, and the set is available at the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.
2022 LEGO ADVENT CALENDARS AVAILABLE NOW: This year, LEGO is releasing five LEGO Advent Calendars, and they are available now. These are fantastic sets to count down the days to Christmas, and they also include lots of unique minifigures and accessories. I would recommend purchasing the Advent Calendar(s) you want as soon as possible as they become hard to find and can even go out of stock as we get closer to the holidays. The five sets are as follows: the #41706 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar for $34.99, the #60352 LEGO City Advent Calendar for $34.99, the #76231 LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar for $44.99, the #76404 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar for $44.99, and the #75340 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar for $44.99. You can find them all at the seasonal items section of the Online LEGO Shop.
LEGO COLLECTIBLE MINIFIGURES SERIES 23: This new series features an eclectic mix of costumed and other fun characters with several of them perfect for the upcoming holiday season. Each of the twelve characters costs $4.99 and they are all available at the minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.
LEGO SPIDER-MAN BRICK-BUILT FIGURES AVAILABLE NOW: The three brick-built large LEGO Spider-Man characters we talked about recently (see: More LEGO Marvel Buildable Figures Preview) are now available. This includes the #76225 LEGO Spider-Man Miles Morales Figure, the #76226 LEGO Spider-Man Figure, and the #76230 LEGO Spider-Man Venom Figure. Each character is $24.99 and available at the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I have to start becoming more picky, considering the time, space and funds required for upcoming Lego purchases, but I might buy the 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar (even though I objectively think Harry Potter is the standout example this year) and a few of the CMF 23 series pre-sorted separately.
I guess the Queer Eye set is a good deal if you’re looking for a lot of white masonry bricks. I haven’t watched the show much, but some of the minifig parts could be useful to build Marvel NYC civilians, I guess, if they end up relatively cheap on BrickLink…
I didn’t realize they are making five calendars these days! The friends and city ones look great. And R2-D2 in Christmas sweater looks adorable. 😀
Don’t care for the brickbuilt spideys, but the collectible minifigs and the calendars are on my wanted list. I like the lighthouse, but it’s way too big and expensive for me.
I’d just bought the new lighthouse,,,,wasn’t there supposed to be another little building kit with it? Thanks,,,jean
