Another interesting set was added to the Online LEGO Shop this weekend, the #21341 LEGO Ideas Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage. Based on the iconic cottage from the 1993 hit blockbuster, the bewitching story has come back to life once more, revealing all the magical events that happened in the Sanderson home, now in brick form.
It’s been more than 30 years since the original Hocus Pocus film was released in 1993, directed by Kenny Ortega. The film tells the story of the Sanderson sisters, three witches who are resurrected in modern-day Salem, Massachusetts, on Halloween night. Then last year saw the much-anticipated sequel Hocus Pocus 2, expanding the story of the iconic characters. And now fans can build and display their own piece of Hocus Pocus history.
Designed by 26-year-old, Belgian LEGO fan and Hocus Pocus fan, Amber Veyt, via the LEGO Ideas platform, the original design attracted 10,000 votes and was then selected to be made into a real LEGO set. Filled with toil and trouble, the 2,316-piece set includes favorite props inspired by the film in LEGO form. In addition, the set also includes six minifigures; the iconic three Sanderson Sisters, Max, Danni, Allison, and Thackery Binx as the black cat.
In the movie, the Sanderson sisters’ cottage serves as their primary residence. The cottage is located in the eerie and atmospheric woods outside of Salem. It is a rustic and enchanting dwelling, showcasing a mix of Gothic and whimsical elements.
The exterior of the cottage features a crooked roofline, tilted chimneys, and overgrown vines that lend an air of mystery and age to the structure. The cottage has a distinct witchy appearance, with a weathered and slightly foreboding ambiance.
Inside, the cottage is portrayed as a magical and cluttered space. The rooms are filled with curious artifacts, potions, spell books, and other magical paraphernalia. The decor is eclectic, with an assortment of unique furnishings and decorations that reflect the witches’ unconventional taste.
Throughout the film, the cottage becomes a central location for pivotal scenes, including the witches’ gatherings, spell-casting rituals, and confrontations with the protagonists. Its mystical aura and distinct visual style contribute to the overall charm and enchantment of the movie.
The LEGO version of the cottage can also be transformed into the Sanderson Witch Museum as seen in the films by simply adding the info stand, the museum signage, some rope barriers, and a cash register (which can be hidden away in secret storage under the stairs).
The #21341 LEGO Ideas Disney Hocus Pocus – The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage set is going to be available for LEGO VIPs from the 1st of July and everyone else from the 4th of July. Prices are as follows: $229.99/€229.99/£199.99/5199.9 TRY/349.99 AUD/97990.0 HUF/299.99 CAD. For more information, visit the LEGO Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.

Another medieval house. Okay then! 🤗
I love the minifigs and the front of the house. I would like to see more pictures of the inside. But I think it turned out nice.
I feel that the colors are a bit too muted. Too ordinary. I would have liked some more interesting color choices. By the way, I totally forgot that this set was coming!
Yeah, they really seem behind releasing approved sets. I completely lost track too.
Even if a set is approved, it would require quite a bit of redesigning and play-testing before it could be released. And there’s already a rather big backlog.
As for the set itself, it looks nice, although I don’t have the space or funds for it. I liked the first movie, however, even if I haven’t seen the second one yet due to not having subscribed to Disney+.
The minifigs are outstanding! Really!
