With Valentine’s Day coming up next week, let’s take a look at some of the cute LEGO sets that you can share with your Valentine. And I also wanted to share a custom project you could build for your special someone, designed by super-talented LEGO fan Jason Allemann (a.k.a. JKBrickWorks).
Currently, available LEGO sets for Valentine’s Day include the cute #40711 LEGO Hedgehog Picnic Date for $12.99, the #40638 LEGO Heart Ornament for $12.99, the beautiful #10328 LEGO Bouquet of Roses for $59.99. There are also several other LEGO sets with flowers that would be suitable for the occasion, like the #40725 LEGO Cherry Blossoms, the #40460 LEGO Roses, the #40647 LEGO Lotus Flowers, the #40747 LEGO Daffodils, and the #40524 LEGO Sunflowers, all for $14.99 each. Another cute set is the #10329 LEGO Tiny Plants for $49.99. You can find them all at the Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas section of the Online LEGO Shop.
LEGO is also currently offering a Valentine’s Day-themed gift-with-purchase set. The #40579 LEGO Valentine’s Day Love Gift Box features a Shiba Inu dog, a heart-shaped chocolate box, a heart balloon, and flowers. You can get this set with purchases of $75 or more until February 14th at the Online LEGO Shop.
As far as the custom Valentine’s Day project by Jason Allemann, take a look at this red beating heart that ‘beats’ when you turn a crank in the back. You can see a demonstration of it in action in the video below. If you’re interested in building it yourself, you can download a parts list and free building guide at Jason’s website, JKBrickWorks.com. A full build kit with all the parts and instructions is also available from BuildaMOC.com.
I hope this list gives you some Valentine’s Day building ideas! And feel free to share additional ideas in the comment section below!

The heart is really cute. And the flowers.
I interpreted that as some snags in the relationship, but maybe I’m a cynic.
(Despite the continuing strains, the heart stays in shape, though. Relationships take hard work…)
I built the beating heart last week, seeing Jason’s video. Cool little gadget. I’m curious about the motor he uses though. Does anyone here has experience with it? He said he likes it.
The beating heart is really cool. Although I find it a bit too unsettling for valentine’s day. 😀
