LEGO Space Collectible Minifigures Series Coming!

The last couple of years have been amazing for LEGO Space fans! LEGO has been bringing back old favorites from the LEGO Classic Space era, and also adding new space-related spin-offs to themes such as LEGO City, LEGO Friends, LEGO Icons, LEGO Creator, LEGO Technic, etc.

One of the latest reveals in the LEGO Space collection is the upcoming #71046 LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 26, fully dedicated to LEGO Space characters. As usual, there is going to be 12 minifigs in the series, referencing some old favorites like M-Tron, Blacktron, and Ice Planet.

The new series will be available from May 1st, and will retail for $4.99 each at LEGO retailers as well as the LEGO Minifigures section of the Online LEGO Shop.

I don’t know about this one. Several of them are… kind of… weird. And I don’t like the color combos.

I will get the one with the space baby, but that’s about it.

That’s what I like about them. That they are so wacky. 🤣

Pretty decent line-up, overall, although the basic astronaut feels a bit generic. I’ll probably snag the whole series, pre-sorted from some third party seller, or something.

That starry-sky body fig makes me think of these weird 60’s Dr. Strange comics by Steve Ditko…

I’ve been on the fence with the City and Friends Space stuff, it’s still a bit too “20 minutes into the future” for me rather than full blown sci-fi. (I was collecting as a kid when classic space gave way to Futuron, and from there Blacktron and so on. Galaxy Squad was great.) The vehicles are nice if somewhat too uniform in their design, but the station and habitats are so plain.

I think the Technic sets are going to suck me in, though. And this minifig series looks great. A few that aren’t home runs, but still, good overall.

That’s a yes for me. I just found my monkie kid moon cake factory space set. I love those bunnies controlling the bunny mech. I figure it’s appropriate considering Easter is just a few days away. The mini figures theme looks great and I don’t mind getting doubles. I just change the headpiece.
