As we discussed previously (see links at the end of this post), to celebrate 25 years of LEGO Star Wars, back in March LEGO invited fans across the galaxy to The 25-Second Film Festival, where they could submit their own film, recreate their top Star Wars moments or forge new ones with the sets and minifigures they treasure.
The video below features a selection of shorts from The 25-Second Film Festival, and you can check out more at the LEGO Star Wars page. More of the submitted shorts will be posted on LEGO’s YouTube channel between May 4th and May 25th.
Although submissions to the event are now closed, you can still make your own Star Wars films. There is even a helpful page with tips to brainstorm your story, write a script, set up your filming area, and more. If you’re a Star Wars fan and you would like to get into brickfilming, this is a good way to start. Creating your own LEGO films is also an excellent creative activity with family members and friends.
Expect even more LEGO Star Wars news and activities as we’re gearing up to Star Wars Day on May the 4th. For more information, visit the LEGO Star Wars section of the Online LEGO Shop.
What do you think? Have you tried creating your own LEGO films? And what do you think of the submitted shorts featured in the video above? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

I remember they used to have an app to make brickfilm. I wonder if they still have that.
So they are going to make these videos into a combined brickfilm?
It seems that they will be releasing the best ones starting on Star Wars day.
