LEGO DreamZzz is turning out to be such a fun theme! Combining fantasy and dream worlds, it’s full of imaginative sets. Last year we got some fantastic sets like the #71460 LEGO DreamZzz Mr. Oz’s Spacebus, the #71461 LEGO DreamZzz Fantastical Tree House, and the #71469 LEGO DreamZzzz Nightmare Shark Ship. This year, we already got one wave of sets including the awesome #71475 LEGO DreamZzz Mr Oz’s Space Car, and the #71477 LEGO DreamZzzz Sandman’s Tower. And at least three more sets are coming this summer which I think are some of the best so far. Let’s take a look.
The #71478 The Never Witch’s Midnight Raven comes with 1,203 pieces and includes Mateo, Z-Blob, Astrid, Never Witch, Dizzy, and Dogan. This is probably my favorite set in the entire collection. The raven is just gorgeous!
The #71484 Cooper’s Robot Dinosaur C-Rex comes with 917 pieces and includes Cooper, Zoey, Dooper, Doey, and Sneak. This is another amazing set with a wonderful color combination.
The #71485 Mateo and Z-Blob the Knight Battle Mech comes with 1,333 pieces and includes Mateo, Logan, Madteo, Dogan, Sneak, and Snivel. What a massive mech this is!
The pricing of these sets is not available yet, nor is it clear when they will be available, but it should be sometime this summer. In the meantime, you can take a look at the currently available sets at the LEGO DreamZzz section of the Online LEGO Shop.

The way that the DreamZzz sets have a fork in the builds, where there’s a “base” model with two different official ways to add the remaining pieces, is probably the most “Lego” thing Lego has done since the sets from the first Lego movie that saw “City” type vehicles rebuild into battle machines.
Great for kids, possibly less so for AFOL who are looking for cool builds that will get displayed on a shelf after being finished. But then, kids are the primary audience of toys, and Lego has also perfected the art of toys aimed at adult audiences with a lot of their other lines.
Cool line, but as so often before, I don’t really have the time, space and funds for it. I might snag some of the hairpieces and torsos separately to make background Marvel civilians, though.
As a kid, I would have been thrilled by these sets. The raven and the dino are especially amazing. I hope I can get at least the raven.
It may be an inventive theme, with a good hark back to the lego of old, having multiple build ides, but its the one theme that is almost constantly offered at a discount in our high street retailers here in the UK. Discounts of up to 40% on sets less than 3 or 4 months old does not bode well. Reminds me of the hidden side range.
To me, this is what Lego is about. I prefer these type of sets much more over licensed ones. But I know this is not the most popular opinion these days.
I can see older sets ( themes) that can be combined together. The legend of chima, nexo knights, hidden sides and much more. For the raven set I can use the ravens from the legends of chima. The possibilities are endless . But isn’t that what imaginations and lego is all about. There are no limits. Lego hit the nail on the head with this theme. DREAM Zzz rule!
