There are a couple of freebies this month at the Online LEGO Shop that you might want to take advantage of while supplies last.
The most popular freebie this month has been the #40730 LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber, free with purchases of the #75397 LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series Jabba’s Sail Barge. This offer didn’t last long however as stock ran out early. With freebies like this, it’s best to act as soon as they become available. I hope those of you who wanted to get it were able to.
The second freebie this month is the #40697 LEGO Halloween Pumpkin, free with purchases of $120 or more until the 14th of October or while supplies last. This is a really cute set with some fun play functions. You can light up the pumpkin’s wide orange face by pressing down on its lid to illuminate a light-brick inside. There are two faces to choose from; a traditional scary one or a friendly and smiley one. The pumpkin sits on a green baseplate next to a ghost floating on a transparent stick. This offer is available at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
The third freebie this month is the #40728 LEGO Fortnite BrickHeadz Brite Bomber, free with purchases of $90 or more until the 7th of October or while supplies last. Inspired by the LEGO Fortnite video game, it lets kids build a BrickHeadz version of an iconic video game figure. A cool gift for Fortnite fans, the buildable Brite Bomber figure is instantly recognizable thanks to her pink hair and trademark sunglasses. This offer is available at official LEGO stores and the Online LEGO Shop.
As holiday shopping is ramping up, we can expect LEGO to offer various incentives like freebies and Double Points. The downside is that as people are shopping for the holidays, freebies and even regular sets (especially the popular ones) may go out of stock. So if you really want something before the end of the year, it’s best to get them as soon as possible.
What do you think? How do you like the free gift-with-purchase sets this month? Feel free to share and discuss in the comment section below!

I’ve been saying that a lot of the GWP sets have been pretty nice lately, but it’s absolutely insane for them to have done something like a brick built lightsaber as a GWP without have a metric ton of them ready to go.
I know a lot of the bigger sets have had little companion GWP sets available for the first month, in order to drive early sales, but once you’re talking licensed stuff it’s on another level. This especially, you probably had people buying the sail barge who didn’t really want it, just for the lightsaber.
I still remember the Ulysses Space Probe set, which was a VIP club gift with points rather than a gift with purchase, but it was presented as a companion to the big space shuttle set, and it was so bad they did another run of them later on.
I’m hoping they will do another run on the lightsaber. I don’t understand why they’re making so few of these sets. They know it’s going to be big, so why limit them? And if they make too many, they could always make them an Insider special later or something.
I wish they would sell the pumpkin as a regular set. The minimum purchase is too high for me (and I suppose for lots of others), but it’s cute!
I miss the day when we got decent size freebies with lesser thresholds. I would love to get the Halloween pumpkin, but the minimum is just too much.
I plan to build my own pumpkin. I have the light brick and a bunch of orange bricks and will download the instructions. It’s easier.
Seems to be various more interesting incentives coming up, so I’ll wait until something better comes along.
Otherwise, these are decent if you can get them, I guess, but not really my tea cup.
I kinda like the little ghost. Cute build. I hope that we will have other small holiday sets too. And not just gift with purchase.
