Wow. A surprising amount of new sets! I’m going to have to look at the list more carefully to digest it.

The Mario set seems to have a crank. I wonder what does that do?

I’m not a fan of the Mona Lisa. It seems like it was turned into a more abstract, modern style.

It’s nice to see Lego having such great success by having all the licensed stuff, though I’m starting to worry a little that they may be getting overreliant on it. Yes, there will always be City and Creator, and the likes of Friends and Ninjago will probably be around for a long while too, but if you run down the list of new releases and darn near everything is something with a license? Hmm.

Although, maybe that’s just catching up with the state of the toy industry, as most major toy brands do much more with licensed IP than they do with their own in-house IP.

Nothing catches my interest this month, except for the winter village set, of course.
