This is wonderful! I’m sure a lot of people will use them for their winter village!
I have the first version of the Hogsmeade village visit and the shrieking shack. LEGO sets are becoming more expensive for me. In fact, I may have to stop collecting. Words I’d thought I would never say. I have a lot of Lego sets that I collected for a very long time. Maybe something for the holidays? I don’t think this set is going to stay on the shelves very long. Oh, my birthday is coming up and I know what I’m getting. The Shire, krusty burger restaurant and the History museum. 😁
Are you talking about the modular museum? I don’t think it’s worth it. It’s too dark, big, and boring.
I agree about the prices. I’m thrilled for the folks who want this set — and can afford it! This is so far outside of my budget range that I can’t even dream about it.
I probably have as much Lego as anybody posting on this group, but Lego is a (fantastic) hobby for me to build and play with, not to invest in.
This weekend, I purchased nine pounds of Lego at $6 a pound. It was a bargain because there were some 15-20 year old minifigures mixed in. But that’s about my limit. These are little pieces of plastic, not gold or silver. I don’t give birthday or holiday presents that cost so much. To each, his own.
I guess Lego saw how many people were using the HP sets for their winter village. Smart move.
I’m getting the modular History museum for free( birthday gift). I’m going to add things to it so it would looks like it has a lot of displays. Be creative. Make it how you want it to be.
Never plan on selling my Lego sets. I agree that Lego shouldn’t be a financial investment . Unless you invest in countless hours of fun and creativity. That’s what Lego is to me. It’s my happy 😁place.
