LEGO is offering a really cool new gift-with-purchase set, the #40769 LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog SAGA Genesis Controller. It is free with purchases of $130 or more (excluding pre-orders) until September 17th (or while supplies last) at the Online LEGO Shop.

Embrace your video game passion with a retro gaming controller that has a microscale Green Hill Zone scene on the back with Sonic and Crabmeat video game characters. The set also includes regional stickers for customization and a display stand. Measures over 3.5 in. (10 cm) high, 5.5 in. (15 cm) wide, and 1 in. (3 cm) deep. Contains 260 pieces.

If you have been eyeing some of the LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog sets or other gamer-oriented sets like LEGO Super Mario, LEGO Fortnite, and LEGO Minecraft, this is the perfect time to get them.

And since we’re talking about freebies, I should also mention that the new #75419 LEGO Star Wars Death Star we talked about the other day and will be available in early October will come with its own freebie, the #40771 LEGO Star Wars TIE Fighter with Imperial Hangar Rack. This 236-piece set features a TIE Fighter and a rack that connects to the Death Star’s hangar wall. There set also comes with three minifigs plus a service cart to add to your Death Star Ultimate Collector Series model. A nice little addition to the massive new Death Star! Speaking of additions, according to Brickset, the #75375 LEGO Star Wars Millennium Falcon released last year fits the hangar of the Death Star perfectly!

What do you think? How do you like the new freebies? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

I do lile the gaming controller, but I’m done spending for a while.. I hope it will be available on Bricklink.
I’m surprised how negative youtubers are in regards to the Death Star. The brickset article is a lot more balanced.
I was waiting for This! I was planning to pick up the game boy and the arcade machine, but I don’t know what else. I wish the minimum to get it was lower.
It’s SEGA, not sAga.
