The #10365 LEGO Icons Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship that was announced last month is now available at the Online LEGO Shop!

This 2,862-piece set is a detailed model of the legendary ghost galleon that appeared in the Pirates of the Caribbean films. It features soaring masts, torn black sails, and a crew of eight minifigures, including Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Gibbs, Cotton, Anamaria, Marty, Elizabeth Swann, and Hector Barbossa.

Additional features include a detachable rowing boat, a figurehead minifigure, and a versatile stand for angled display. Alternatively, the hull can be split at the waterline to depict the ship in sailing mode.

The ship has some nifty play-features too. You can rotate dials to deploy the port or starboard cannons, turn the ship’s wheel to steer the rudder, and open the deck to reveal the captain’s quarters with furnishings, candlesticks, and an apple.

While the all-black pirate ship looks awesome, it got some criticism too. The flat sails in particular seem to bother a lot of LEGO fans. However, fixing this is easy by just removing and repositioning a few pieces. Below, I have included a couple of video-reviews so you can see all the features and functions of the set, as well as a comparison video with the earlier version of the Black Pearl released in 2011.
Although the ship looks amazing, it is expensive at $379.99. To sweeten the deal a little, LEGO is currently offering a freebie with the purchase of the set. The #5009609 LEGO Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass will be automatically added to your order until September 18th at the Online LEGO Shop.

And if the black pirate ship is not for you, there are several other ship models that you can select from at the Online LEGO Shop.

What do you think? How do you like the new LEGO Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship? And are you planning to add it to your collection? Feel free to share your thoughts and discuss in the comment section below!

Thanks for including the reviews. That really helped. Especially the comparison with the original black pearl and the Endurance. It’s a beautiful ship. And the flat sails don’t bother me too much.
It’s a gorgeous ship, no doubt, but I can’t wrap my head around the price. I wonder if that has to do with the tariffs and if this is going to be the future of the hobby.
