Start your engines! Yesterday, the LEGO Group revealed the #73050 LEGO Mario Kart – Luigi & Mach 8, the latest addition to the LEGO Super Mario lineup. This highly detailed model is inspired by the beloved Mario Kart series and is already available for pre-order at the LEGO Super Mario section of the Online LEGO Shop.
Designed for builders aged 18 and up, the set includes 2,234 pieces that bring Luigi and the Mach 8 to fans in brick form. The buildable figure features a poseable head, arms, and hands, seated confidently behind the wheel of the first-ever large-scale LEGO brick recreation of the Mach 8 kart.
Builders can display the kart on its stand at dynamic, race-ready angles, capturing the excitement of a Mario Kart showdown mid-drift. For added interactivity, the model can also be removed from its stand and rolled forward. Turning the steering wheel turns the front wheels, and turning the back wheels will spin the flame exhaust, allowing for playful movement alongside a static display.
The Luigi & Mach 8 set is the ideal counterpart for the #72037 LEGO Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart, sold separately, letting fans create a full head-to-head display of their favorite characters.
