Build Your Favorite Hobby With LEGO Contest!

When you’re not creating awesome builds with LEGO bricks, what’s your favorite thing to do? In the LEGO Ideas Build Your Favorite Hobby Challenge, the LEGO Ideas team is asking you to capture the essence of your favorite pastime with a unique and engaging build. Whether you’re a budding baker, filmmaker, or downhill skier, the LEGO Ideas team wants you to capture the essence of your favorite hobby in LEGO form and what it means to you. The winners will receive some awesome LEGO prizes, and the grand prize winner will see their entry made into an official LEGO Ideas gift-with-purchase set! Details below.

Perhaps you’re a secret poet, a vibrant artist, or a skilled musician. Maybe you like to seek thrills mountain biking, or love to collect postage stamps. No matter how big or small it may be, there is beauty in celebrating what makes you truly tick.

And the best part of this challenge? It’s totally open in terms of what you create. It could be an object, a diorama, or even an abstract vision of your favorite recreational activity. Your entry should be between 200 – 250 elements and must not contain any logos or third-party intellectual property. So you can build a sewing machine, but it cannot be a particular make or model, or carry any company logos. Oh, and one more thing. Your entry must be as unique as you are!

The challenge has the following phases: Building Phase – Submit your build by July 30th, 2025, at 6:00 AM EST. Expert Phase – Experts will review and select up to 15 builds to move to the fan vote on August 11th, 2025. Voting Phase – LEGO Ideas members can vote one time for their favorite build during August 11th-20th, 2025. The votes will decide the grand prize selection of the challenge. Results Announcement – Results will be posted on LEGO Ideas no later than September 3rd, 2025.

The grand prize selection for the fan vote will see their build turned into a LEGO gift-with-purchase set, and they will also receive 10 complimentary copies of their LEGO Ideas set, credit, and a bio as the LEGO Ideas fan designer in the set materials. In addition, they will also receive the following sets: #21358 LEGO Ideas Minifigure Vending Machine, #10312 LEGO Ideas Jazz Club, #21355 LEGO Ideas Evolution of STEM, #21342 LEGO Ideas The Insect Collection, #10329 LEGO Icons Tiny Plants, #21346 LEGO Ideas Family Tree, and #21349 LEGO Ideas Tuxedo Cat.
